Booked in on 30th of December, to find no gin, guiness, or cider, upgraded bedroom leaves a lot to be desired, not even a king size bed. Bedroom also cold. Not good.
I was in a party of 8 who all were unhappy with the lack of the 3 drinks mentioned. Also woke to find the newspaper i ordered at reception was not ordered, same as another member of my party. These are facts not misinformation.
On a plus side the food was good.

Chilworth Manor is a beautiful venue. I visited during a business trip recently and was taken back by the history of the venue and the service that I received. The suites were modern but in keeping of the buildings character and the food was great. Everything I could have hoped for. Thank you.

Reasonable place to stay, was a gift from our son. The hotel is a bit tired in places. Food OK but breakfast only like warm even though we were there just after opening at 7.30am.
Pool great but jacuzzi out of order.
Lovely grounds.

When cruising from Southampton we travel down the day before and stay at the Chilworth Manor Hotel.
The hotel is clean and comfortable and serves good food.
There is ample parking with a reliable taxi service to and from the port.

We enjoyed our 3 night stay to celebrate our 11th anniversary.

It was our 1st time over here.We were very satisfied with the range and quality of food.
Breakfast was also various and fulfilling.

It is a romantic place in every season of the year! They have lovely gardens and leisure facilities.

The location is ideal, very close to Southampton and Portsmouth.

The value of our stay was reasonable and worth it.

We struggled with the service of the staff members in a restaurant and a lounge. We expected more to be delivered from such a vintage hotel.
The whole situation was sorted out by a duty manager Dave who is very helpful, kind and humourous.A huge thank you to him!

Hope to visit you someday again.

Recently spent the weekend here. There are so many positives. I'm still surprised how affordable it was to spend a weekend in such a nice hotel.

My only complaint is that some of the food was quite expensive; we thought it was reasonably good but certainly didn't justify the high price.

Lovely hotel with very helpful staff. Long walk to bedroom. Beds very comfortable, showers good. Beware returning to hotel after 10pm as the car park was full, no disabled or any other spaces left due to cruise passengers. This was a Monday night! Quite a wait for breakfast but once sat down, the food was good.

The service was appauling and ruined our wedding anniversary . Dirty trays were left around the hotel . I would not go back there again. At the bar we had to wait for service because the bar man was on his phone. The breakfast was cold . Not a pleasant experience .The evening meal service was terrible as had to wait 45 minutes for the starter and then nearly one our for our main course

Have not been allocated the room I believed I had paid for. The room is smaller than one in other hotels I have stayed in and I paid a premium on top of the cost for a double. Customer service not interested in my complaint, even although we hire their venue every year for our staff party. I think they have lost our costom for next year. I'm not happy to say the least.

The mill room was a spacious conference venue with adequate facilities. The room was quiet and private. Chefs choice finger buffet was delicious. However, staff removed the food too early, as many delegates had planned to eat the remaining items during the coffee break.

A very pleasant small hotel in a charming place. The climate of a typical mansion from a previous era. On the plus side you should definitely include the indoor pool. Clean (although not too big in my case) rooms. Tasty breakfast is a typical english breakfast with a small amount of vegetables and fruits (the latter could be more). There is a large garden and a car park around. I can safely recommend this hotel.

Easy to get to and well sign posted. Beautiful well maintained grounds upon arrival. We had trouble locating the function but plenty of friendly staff available to guide us there. The buffet provided was plentiful and really nice. A very enjoyable experience.

Location good, surroundings good, very small room with springy fold-out bed crammed in. We had to move it as it blocked half of the room. Didn't pay full price and very glad we hadn't; rooms a big let down.

We organised our company AGM at the Chilworth Manor and I am utterly unimpressed. We booked a meeting room was well as lunch for 60 people. The lunch buffet was served all at once and was barely big enough for 40 people. Everything was very slow. The meeting room had a very old projector with extremely poor quality projection. The sound system was not working. Definitely not going back for a professional event.

Great service, excellent welcome for the lovely receptionist.

The room looked a little dark and dated but it was comfortable and enough for one night. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, the waiters were a bit too quick at clearing our plates but it was only a minor niggle.
Great complimentary use of the leisure centre which was clean and quiet.
An overall good experience which I would highly recommend.

My husband and I had a lovey weekend at the Chilworth Manor Hotel a couple of years ago so decided to return with friends. I was very disappointed that we were not told when booking the weekend that there were renovations being carried out. Due to the work there was a makeshift reception which was fine but also a makeshift bar with limited drinks set up on tables in a much smaller area.

This hotel is set in a stunning 12 acre ground and has plenty of character. The Manor Hotel is very big and the inside is like a maze. Meeting facilities were good and lunch provided excellent. Breakfast provided had plenty of choice. Bedroom was clean and had everything you needed. Good place to stay on business or pleasure.

The first night we had a decent room. Newly refurbished or fairly new anyway. We needed to prolong for an extra Sunday night and we were told we would have to move rooms. We got moved in a room that would be more suitable for a 2 star rated place from my experience... the bottom of the tub is grimy and grey (don't think it comes off too well in the photo....) the radiator doesn't work and it's ridiculously old, the remote occasionally works but we have up on fighting it, to name but a few of the issues with the room. The portions of dinner were SMALL. We were told they were out of peas and offered veggies instead but only one of our plates came with the veggies. My fish and a tiny bit of salad felt more like a starter than a meal... but the fish was nicely cooked in all fairness... the desserts aren't worth it at all though! The strudelS were actually only 1 strudel (which was NOT a strudel, but a take on a pancake folded triangularly) and the white chocolate tart was actually a sponge cake with milk chocolate which was a bit of a joke really :)) couldny ser any trace of whitr chicolate :)) All in all, paying the same amount for both rooms makes me feel a bit ripped off but the staff are really nice and the grounds are lovely. To crash for a night or two because it's the most convenient place it's OK, but I wouldn't stay here as a holiday choice...they started taking furniture out of the room while we were still there waaay before closing time (more than an hour or so) Some sort of cleaning to be done from what we were told but we did felt pressured to leave or like they were going to take the chairs out with us :)) I feel bad about saying what bad of an impression the place has left since the guys behind the bar do seem fairly nice...but I hope it improves.

Don't be fooled by club membership. When they say 25% off food and drink at the hotel, they expect you to eat alone and bring no friends with you, not even a single one, unless of course if you're willing to pay the sky high prices without the discount. Won't go back.

Beautiful place very grand but very high drink prices and lacking in well trained bar staff no sign of customer service or satisfaction from what I observed. Took ages to be served at the bar.

A great place to stay. Lots of rooms (97) to stay and 29 of those in manor itself. Afternoon cream Twas, cruise and stay packages, lovely food in restaurant. Staff friendly and approachable. Reception staff very helpful and knowledgeable. Parking fee and relatively easy. Conference rooms easily accessible and facilities are good with a licenced bar serving food and alcohol.
Go there... you won't be disappointed.

The room wasnt great i thought it needed some updating. The first night dinner service we didnt feel welcomed and the waiter who took our drink order seemed new and very confused we were not offered a wine list and when we asked for wine he said red white and rose. He then bought us the wrong drinks to out table. At the end we got dessert and i previously asked for a candle for my partner's birthday and they forgot. The food was good however. Most staff didnt even say goodmorning or acknowledge us during out stay. On a positive note Holly the waitress was amazing brilliant service even though we got given the wrong menu and was charged extra for food she was amazing very attentive service a Brilliant way to finish our break.
