ICON Art & Design Academy Review

I learn from here now, being prepared for an art school. The teachers here are really helping me to get in there.

In the past year, Teacher Rosa in ICON helped me prepare my Advertising portfolio for ArtCenter College of Design, what I earned in the end of this journey was more than an acceptance letter to my dream school. As an alumni of ArtCenter and a former employee of J. Walter Thompson, Teacher Rosa has advanced insight of design and wonderful taste of art; learning from the best in the field, I could feel myself improving and becoming someone capable of communicating with audiences across platforms and cultural context. Teacher Rosa not only taught me right from wrong, she helped me gain a deeper, more complex understanding of visual advertising. Her class is always fun and inspiring, she pays attention to my ideas and respect my thoughts, asks me to do the best to express them. Meanwhile, she encourages me to challenge myself, expand my skill set and develop new visions. Her assignment will become more demanding towards the end of the program, it is important for designers to be adaptable and deliver on time. During my time in ICON, I had many chances to observe how other students took their classes too. As art students, it is no problem for the kids in ICON to undergo highly intensive drawing sessions, that gives them firm foundation for future art creation, students here are also passionate and dedicated about their artwork, as a result, there are more than enough of amazing examples from student works on the walls that are worth seeing. ICON is the surefire safe way to enter your favorite art school and learn to survive it, their great reputation is already a proof to their effective teaching method, if you have any more concern, just come in and take a close look at what students here can make and you will know that this place is giving birth to top-tier artists for the world to have.

During the past two years in the portfolio class at Icon, I learned many things to help me apply to art colleges. It encourages students to be creative and experiment with mediums, and teaches how to make art pieces that meet the standard of what art colleges look for in a portfolio.
