Terrible place! Staff was rude and unhelpful. We purchased their wine and opener but they wouldn't even let us open it outside while on their premises. Samplers were overpriced, small and not good. Don't waste your time here. Go to another winery.

Excellent hospitality. Went for wine tasting. They have fair number of choice of wines 6, they were more than enough to enjoy a wine tasting. Good for new comers and want to experience different wineries within Napa. Enjoyed strolling within the property. Maintained proper protocol during covid times for the safety of customers and employees.

The tour was a great value, especially for those who don't know a thing about wine tasting. The tour guide was very friendly and presented great pairings for 4 wines. You also get to taste from a barrel which was very tasty and neat.

My husband and I have been members here for years and recently did a private tasting with Marisa for my sisters birthday. She was so knowledgeable and took time to educate us on the different varietals grown and harvested by Beringer. My sisters and cousin couldn t stop talking about the great experience and can t thank Marisa enough!!!

Grounds are pretty. Definitely not worth the wine tasting. Went to Rhine house for an overpriced glass. The pour was very small for buying wine by the glass. Specifically why we didn t do the tasting. Oh well. It s one to skip or just tour the grounds.

I love this winery. Joining the wine club here was the best thing I ever did years ago. This place has the best people working here, kind, knowledgeable, and generous with the wine. Chuck was great today even though it was busy with the founder's day celebration. Jack has done all the tours I've ever been on with friends and has a great personality. Just love this place and the people. If you're here in the Napa valley definitely come here.

Way overpriced for OK wine and slow/understaffed on a Sat. If you're gonna charge $40 for a wine tasting let's at least get one of those two right. Absolutely gorgeous building and grounds so not all bad!

We did the cave tour (which I highly recommend). They run for exactly 30 mins, they had a variety of wines at the tour for tasting, and more you could taste after (extra charge). The tour was unique, service was excellent & winery itself was very picturesque.

Did the wine and food tasting. Our guide was very knowledgeable and guided us newbs through wine tasting. I came out of the tasting better understanding wines and some of their food pairings. Plenty of wine and the small bites were good, though I would've appreciated more.

The grounds were beautiful and it was awesome walking through and tasting in some of the gardens.

Had a lovely wine tasting with a group of friends at Beringer. The wine is delicious, grounds absolutely gorgeous, and staff incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. I accidentally left a ring on a shelf in the gift shop, when trying on their great lotions, and only realised much later in the day. I left a voicemail asking for help, to which Beringer phoned me back first thing the next morning, saying they found the ring! They were able to get it back to me, and I couldn t be more grateful for how proactive, thoughtful and responsible they were due to my error. Thank you Beringer!

I booked a reservation online and then ended up having to cancel it within 5 minutes. I called to find the operator extremely rude and claimed that the system would not allow her to refund the transaction. I normally let this go but I actually had reserved two by accident, talked to a different operator, and was refunded for that tasting a couple of minutes prior. Given they can t have lost any business due to my reservation taking up a whole 5 minutes I find this totally unjustified and will absolutely never give a dime to this vineyard or any of their sister companies. Short term thinking is always a bad idea for a business.

We took the short tour, which takes 30 minutes and guides you through the cellar. The four wines we could try were mediocre at best, only the desert wine was ok.

You don't get into the Beringer house itself as part of the cheaper tour, which is a bit disappointing, because that is really a nice and interesting building.

In general the wines are way too expensive for what they offer - at least compared to what you get in Europe. $40 for the desert wine, $25+ for the reds seem way of.

Absolutely amazing wine. I was extremely surprised with the quality of wine and the courteous staff at Beringer. I even signed up for their wine club and purchased several bottles while I was there. A bit pricey, but totally worth it. Five stars all the way!

We took the wine & food pairings tour and it was wonderful! Jesus took us thru the sensory garden to learn about the herbs we smell in our wines. Beringers reserve line of wines are excellent! Thank you for an interesting visit!

If I could give this place more than five stars I would, especially because of Gisele. I stopped here and was able to take a food and wine pairing tour and tasting without an appointment (this is one of the only places that will do that, but if you have more than 8 people reservations are required, and if it's a weekend, reservations are recommended). I learned so much about wine in general and food pairings, and the wine is delicious of course! It was about 100 degrees when I was there, so we spent most of our time inside, but still got to see some of the vineyards/grounds outside as well. Gisele was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. She went above and beyond to make my experience great! I cannot imagine having a better experience anywhere else. Highly, highly recommend this place!

A winery with a touch of history that goes way back, the rhine house dating back 1884 (as what i saw from the description) the house is well preserved and the wines are class, tho we weren't able to do some wine tasting but just seeing the place is really stunning.

I'm a wine dinker but didn't know much about it apart from the that you can pour it, drink it and too much makes your head sore the next morning so decided to get some education at Beringer Vinyard. The tour was wasn't that expensive and you were taken on a complete tour of the facility while drinking samples of wine. You get a white, rose and red at various stages and you're taught and use the 6 S's of wine tasting. I've always wondered why wine tasters spit out their first mouth of wine out then make a funny noise with the second mouthful and now I know why. What a fantastic tour and a must see if your in the region.

Worst customer service experience I ve had in Napa. With a group of 4, we all had the Priority wine pass and have been hoping around various wineries around Napa all weekend and have had no issue with them honoring the pass for free tastings. Once we arrived at a Beringer our first greeting was by a very hostile woman in the welcome center who accosted is that our pass was not what we thought it was and that Beringer would not honor the deal. Don t agree to a wine pass if you aren t willing to honor the deal.

Beautiful estate with incredible wine.

There is plenty to see here and that is why they offer tours. Take a tour! The buildings and house will require plenty of pictures, so make sure your batteries are charged. There are plenty of place to sit and relax here, so if you're not into the tour let the others go while you rest.

Lovely place to visit. This place was calm and uncrowded, the garden and house were beautiful.
We took a legacy cave tour, it took 30 minutes and had three kinds of wines. It was informative and valuable time for us. David did a good job to explain history of the vinery. And he didn't speak too fast, so it was not too difficult to understand their story for a person whose first language is not English, like me:)

We booked a wine tasting tour but put wrong date (they use a third party website to manage bookings). Upon our arrival, they quickly sorted it out, and let us in, despite our mistake. The experience after that is fantastic!

Aside from being an iconic historical landmark of the Valley, the staff at Beringer are the friendliest of all the vineyards I have visited. The staff made accommodations to help me as I proposed to my girlfriend. If I could go back and redo it, I wouldn't change a single thing. Beringer goes above and beyond to make each guest feel special.

Understaffed, expensive, and crowded. We learned nothing at the tasting - the staff was overwhelmed by large groups and only focused on pouring wine as quickly as possible. I did not receive a single explanation for any of the wines we tried. Maybe a better stop for those on a booze cruise through Napa.

Certainly one of the nicer wineries to visit in and around Napa Valley. It was recommended to us as one of the Top 5 to visit and as far as we're concerned, it was the only one worth visiting.

To us, Beringer Vineyards offered what you expect from a winery and vineyard. Views, wine, and peace and quiet. Other major vineyards have become quite touristy (we were amazed how many wineries have bar/wine tasting areas without views of the vineyards).

Bringer offers views of grand buildings, gardens and some of their smaller vineyards. The wine was fantastic and not unreasonably priced for a Napa Valley wine tasting.

Beringer White Zinfandel was probably one of the first wines I started drinking way back in my college days. Over the years I grew up and my taste in wines changed. I once said I would never drink red wines because they were too tannic and bitter. But about 5 years ago I had a really good, smooth Cabernet with a steak at a fancy restaurant for my birthday dinner. Since then, the wife and I have gotten into reds. We like them on the fruit forward, smooth, "jammy" side. But we keep coming back to Beringer. We have visited the winery 5 or so times over the years and every time is a great experience. On our most recent trip we did a garden tour and wine tasting that was awesome. Our guide walked us around the grounds a bit and showed us some of the herbs and fruits they have growing there. Then we went inside the Rhine House and tasted 4 or 5 wines along with food pairings.

Everything was absolutely marvelous. The food, wine and personal attention were all outstanding. We just continue to love Beringer and will certainly be back next time we're in Napa.

By far the best picnic place in Napa they offer fresh sandwiches in the interior garden, together with a taste of their Cabernet. Not just our opinion, but also LA Times, who recently named it one of the Best 10 places to have a picnic in the West - No. 1 is Grand Canyon, and No. 3 is Maroon Bells. That is a select company.
Absolutely recommended. From a historical part, In 1934, Beringer it was the first California winery to offer public tours and wine tasting following Prohibition.

One of my favorite wineries to visit. I highly recommend taking one of the wine cave tours with food pairings. It is great learning some of the history of the family and industry. I learn something new every time I come. The grounds and facilities are beautifully maintained. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable.

I have been ordering from Beringer on line in the past. Last year I had extremely bad experience, which made me stop buying Beringer all together. I place an order on October 10 and was expecting to get it in time for Thanksgiving, so I could share it with friends and family. Mid November I called in to check the status and was told that they had an issue with transportation and now it will be shipped this week. That story continued for next 4 weeks, until I cancelled my order. Had to wait 2 more weeks to get my money back. Short lesson: do not deal with them ever again. This is a bunch of liars, who have no idea what the customer service is. Wine is mediocre and there s a lot of good alternative, so take your money elsewhere.

Outstanding service!! Incredible food!! Knowledgeable tour guides!!

We had a work retreat in Napa and one day of meetings were held at Beringer. Joe, our host/supplier, situated our group in a space surrounded by historical beauty.

Mark Beringer, the winemaker, joined us for lunch in their BEAUTIFUL space appointed with original touches & perimeter windows.

We finished our time at Beringer with a tour through the wine caves and vineyards... Giselle, a French Canadian with the voice of a song bird, showed us the ins & outs of Beringer history.

I hope to return!

What a beautiful place, and an amazing story of how this place got started. I envoy every step and every corner of this winery. The wine didn t impress me, and the wine was the reason why I came here. The wine was too dry for me and my group. I will be back soon hoping to keep trying something different.

Beringer is a beautiful vinyard, one of the best in Napa valley, and probably the most magical wine tasting in the whole area. Due to covid restriction, all activities are theough website booking and payments so you can't just show up. Their chardonnay and Pinot Gris are fabulous. Their wine is rich, light, gentle and vibrant. We got out with a 12 pack suite case which is made to keep the bottles safe during flights...! It was THAT good.
The staff is very professional and full of passion and knowldge.
If you are in Napa, that is the vineyard to visit (as most of the Napa valley wines are.... not the best we had).

We were incredibly excited to end our Napa Valley ...

We were incredibly excited to end our Napa Valley trip at Beringer Vineyards. Coming from Florida, Beringer doesn t necessarily carry the same weight that it does in the valley. Let me combat this misconception by saying that this was the single handed best winery we visited our entire trip. The staff was warm, welcoming, kind, and thoroughly knowledgeable. Our tasting occurred on the Veranda, and was definitely one to remember. We tasted our way through four beautiful wines (one Chardonnay, one merlot, and two Cabernets) and thanks to Ryan and Ed, a few other WONDERFUL surprises. Ryan and Ed took the time to talk us through each wine, in addition to the history of the winery. They went above and beyond (and that s an understatement) what we had anticipated. Best customer service we have experienced in Napa Valley and are privileged to have had the opportunity to drink such amazing wine and to meet such phenomenal people. We signed up for the wine club after glass one, and will most certainly be back soon! ALL OF THIS THROUGH COVID.....speaks for itself

The place is interesting as it is basically the first winery in the area. The tasting tour could improve, because although the story is nice, the wine we had was not fresh and tasted weird. The guide was ok. Their souvenir shop is convenient and had many nice stuff. Loved the old house.
