I have rated this company before. This is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with. In the past when you would have to submit your receipts for reimbursement they claimed on their website that it would take five days for the claim to be processed. Recently they removed that 5-day time. From their website. Their website now says it takes 7 to 10 days to process any claim. I contacted them today because I made a claim on March 2nd, today being the 16th to inquire when I could receive my payment. I was told that because of high demand they had to extend the processing time, but they would expedite my payment from the second and I should get it by this Friday which will be the 21st or 19 days after I submitted for payment. As of right now this company is holding over $1,700 of my money for which I have supplied all of the proper receipts and I'm expecting payment. I have already paid my bills out of pocket and I'm waiting to be reimbursed with my own money that this company is holding in escrow.

I feel that it is a bad business practice for this company to say that they can no longer process claims and a 5 business day. Because they have a high demand I've claimed. They should either hire more help or not take on business that they cannot handle. It is ridiculous that I have to wait 19 days to be reimbursed money that is mine.

Poor costumer service. I called with what I though was a simple question and the guy I talked to was rude and no help whatsoever. Sure we can do a lot online but whatever happened to being able to talk to a competent person on the phone? Also, it takes them a long time to process a claim. It has taken over a week for them to get a check in the mail.

This is by far the worst flexible spending plan. I sent in my medical proof of payments well within plan guidelines (6 weeks ahead of coverage submission deadline date plan year end) and was denied all reimbursement based on" my claim date of service not being eligible"!!! Don't waste your time or money, BRI will just keep it all!

What good is a service the only sends mail, doesn t contact Human Resources or make phone calls and takes the sweet time processing receipt of receipts. I need medications, my options are to pay out of pocket and wait 7-10 business days for them to direct deposit and restate my services for a clerical issue that I have to do the due diligence on. They don t have the money to make a phone call. When people start leaving their service because the value in evaporated. They won t have a job or a business. Maybe the should rethink how they contact people. Maybe the could motivate themselves and process things a little quicker. I am not happy I will call my HR director tomorrow and see if she has better luck talking with these people. The assume no responsibility their lack of effort to contact you. To spend my money the have. I will harass them every day till the give me my money. One way or another I will get my money and make them work for it. I have no conscience about this. It s my money and I worked for it. So I will be really a painful customer from this point on. The will service me as I am paying them to do so. The will curb their attitude and learn people will not tolerate their sentiment.

Wow, can't believe some of the comments! This company is great and we have several hundred of our clients with them. The person with the address change, ever heard of the internet and go on line to your BRI website and change it yourself? Everything is done on the internet today! The slow payment complaint. Did you know your employee set up payment guidelines with BRI when they contracted with them? Maybe your employer set BRI up so that payments are released infrequently? May wish to check with your HR department. The IRS rules and regulations. They are real and having dealt with dozens of companies that do the same thing as BRI can safely tell you it is the same wherever and whoever you have doing your administration. If the IRS audits your employer BRI has to produce records for your employer showing that they have complied with IRS regulations. I'm sorry you all have had this trouble but its the nature of the beast. Oh and by the way. The person who said "its my money." Wrong! You signed a salary "reduction" agreement when you took out the FSA, not a salary "deduction" agreement. If you don't pay Federal and State Income Tax and you don't pay FICA and Medicare Tax on the monies in your FSA, its a benefit plan for you to use when you have a claim but its your employer's money until you have a claim against the FSA plan.

If I could rate this company any lower, I would. This is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with. After giving at least 3 different people my change of address, they continued to mail everything to my old, incorrect address so I never received any of my bills. This of course messed up my account and I had to jump through a ton of hoops to get my account reactivated. I finally got fed up with them and told them I was cancelling my account. I was told that the cancellation was taken care of only to receive a new insurance card in the mail months later. Clearly my account was not cancelled! These are the most incompetent and frustrating people, I would never recommend this company to anyone.

Terrible customer service! Have been trying for two months to resolve an issue that occurred because of an error in their accounting, but we keep getting the run around. In the meantime, our money is held and not available and we re just up a creek. Finally asked to speak with a supervisor and got sent directly into a voicemail. No return call, of course. Super frustrating to say the least.

Takes too long than the promised time to get your money. Can't rely on the money for scheduled expenses. Unless you have extra income to cover expenses such as childcare, don't count on this service because the saving on taxes may be less than overdraft fees you will end up paying your bank.

This company is crooked, they will do everything they can to delay or deny reimbursing you so they can earn extra revenue on the money that is on your card. They lie about service providers using the "wrong codes" or requesting "additional information" when they already have more than enough to disburse your money. Their biggest lie is the "it's an IRS requirement." All of the approved medical expenses have an EOB from the health care provider and if the IRS ever needed any documents that would be more than sufficient.

What a scam company. You send them the info and then it takes another 10 days on top of waiting for your EOB to be reimbursed. This is if only they actually say they got your EOB. I started taking videos of myself uploading all the documentation because they would come back and say it was never received then when I show them the videos they by magic always find them ! So glad dumping this company soon. Stay away !

Nothing like waiting 20 minutes on the phone to then get disconnected by the service team. Then, when I call back, which takes another 20 minutes, it goes mute.

The only saving grace was when I have gotten in touch with a live rep, they're very helpful. FYI this wait time and randomly hanging up is normal.

The past two years have been terrible with this place. The straw that did it all in for me was when they threatened to suspend my card due to not getting a receipt in during this COVID-19. HOW CAN I GET WHAT YOU WANT WHEN MY DENTIST IS CLOSED? "Okay we have sent you three notices about it" OKAY WELL THEY CLOSED DURING THAT WHOLE TIME! They question a $28 charge for my kids..but not the other ones that are way more expensive? Makes complete sense!

It took three chats and one phone call from a supervisor to have THEIR error corrected. I had to go line by line to show them how to read a statement, add, subtract and get things right. Horribly frustrated with the ineptness of so many employees at Benefit Resource.
I'm giving two stars because I am hopeful that the promise I received from the Supervisor that he will make the correction. And yes, I asked him to promise me. Please, Matt - be a man of your word.

Yesterday, I had to run to the grocery store to pick up a pulse oximeter because a few memebrs of my family tested positive for COVID earlier this week. I did an online order but the grocery store app was denying my HSA card as a form of payment, so I wondered if the oximeter wasn't eligible (even though I could have sworn it was). To check, I opened my BRI mobile app and went to the OTC search section which is linked to the FSA Store. It pulled the website right up and let me know that oximeters are definitely eligible! For some reason I still couldn't pay with my card, but I think that's on the merchant side of things and not about the item itself or my card. All in all, I am grateful for the fast, easy app that lets me search eligible items in under a minute and give timely care to my family. Thank you, BRI!!

Website and the app is always freezing up and is not always accessible as expected. Not to fond of having to pay out of pocket for services that are covered, only to have the hassle of submitting receipts and then waiting for the check to deposit. But our hr dept chose BRI. Oh well what can you do. It just make so much sense to allow therapy to go through on the card ...its a covered expense. This administrator does not reimburse any tips issued for authorized and covered exspenses

Be careful. With me, they did not send the credit card, or at least I didn't receive it. Now I am in the position where I have an excessive balance, very few opportunities to spend it and a $5.99 charge p/month for the use of a Mastercard I can barely use. When calling I got the "IRS reasoning" which may or may not be accurate but certainly not given the option to back date claims.

My experience is in line with the other negative reviews. Incredibly unprofessional staff that hide behind fictitious "IRS Requirements". At minimum BRI's corporate culture is one of unethical behavior and complete incompetence.
