Amazing building. A great place to learn not just about Canadian musicians, but also about music is general and it s effect on ourselves.
Interactive exhibits and fun for all ages.

Beautiful space, inside and out! Filled with exhibits, both interactive and contemplative. Bit of a workout, with all the stairs, but certainly a sight to behold. No visit to Calgary is complete without a stop here. Along with the new library, this is bringing a new feeling to this end of the city.

Beautiful building with lots of different exhibits, including some that display celebrities; historical, modern, and quirky instruments; interactive opportunities. Free tours and presentations.

Beautiful musical exhibitions, many instruments you can actually try to play on, DJ stands with headphones, lots of fun and interesting things to do for kids. They even had a teacher of music there!

The museum had lots of items to see. It ranged from all aspects of music. The demonstration for the Kimbell Organ was so fun and educating. Lots of hands on activities and things to listen to in the museum.

Not expected how that much I could learn about music and history. Actually, you will learn and play musical instruments. The Studio Bell is not that big but you may spend time on learning so at least a couple of days required.

Beautiful place to visit! Lots of things to see inside with the exhibits and it is wonderful to see that our City has gotten this beautiful building. It really is stunning inside and out.

It's a lot like Telus Spark but with instruments instead of science projects. More of a historical museum than an interactive display, although there are a few whimsical things to play around with. I found it to be rather lacking in representation of different musical genres as well as the related instruments, most represented being country and classical music, least represented being more contemporary genres such as metal and dubstep. There are some activities for children and overall I would say it's an ideal place to bring a musically interested kid to; there are a few playable instruments displayed around the exhibitions as well as the aforementioned interactive bits. There are also a few programs and activities meant to entertain kids. Not a bad place to visit, but personally I don't see myself coming back.

This is such a great place to visit. Learned so much about Canadian music and was introduced to a couple of musicians I hadn't previously heard of. Kids areas with musical instruments and 'studio' rooms were big hits.

Really funky museum with some really cool exhibits. While they have cool things, part of the experience is the building itself. Architectural piece of art. Highly recommend to spend a day in. Once finish (no drinks inside), I recommend grabbing a coffee from Rosso off the lobby.

Very cool interactive Museum. Love the design in and outside of the structure. Great place to bring my students to learn about music history, see music and instrument memorabilia, play with interactive demos, and watch unique instruments played by the pros!

Great place to visit for all music lovers. The Sonore is the best place to be in the entire museum. Don't miss their show....the presenter is very knowledgeable about the physics of sound and he is terrific at playing the piano.

I found it absolutely awe surprising as you walk into the front foyer to see the architecture inside the building. There's so much to see and do and every floor has places where you can interact with a bunch of different things. They do a special performance with the organ and its amazing to see. Always tend to recommend Studio Bell for anyone who appreciates music.

This is a beautiful space. A great addition to the Calgary downtown skyline. The architecture is wonderful and the acoustics were perfect. I attended a Christmas party in the main atrium last week and was blown away by the space. I can't wait to come back to walk through the museum. Definitely a must see for architecture alone.

My kids ages 4 to 9 had a great time. We spent 2 hours on levels 3 and 4. They are the most interactive we were told. The kids and I got to try all kinds of instruments and do little lessons on touch screens with headphones. The staff were really friendly. The guy who did the movie organ demo was excellent.

Amazing experience. Give yourself plenty of time to visit this place. Or, better yet, buy a pass/membership and visit regularly, taking in just a bit of Studio Bell at each visit. The guided tours are very informative and worth attending (included in admission). Be sure to attend the Kimball organ demo; this organ was used to play music, in theatres, for silent films! It's a one-man-band! This place is worth visiting for the architecture alone. Low admission prices make this a very worthwhile outing. After your visit, grab a drink or snack at the historic King Eddie, which is part of Studio Bell.

Incredible architecture. A few interactive options (instruments to play, some in non worker condition). Can be a little information heavy in places. It s about 60% walking around reading articles. They could do more for the hand on experience. A pleasant afternoon overall.

Highly recommend visiting this museum. We will look for an opportunity to attend a concert there, amazing to see all the great Canadian talent. The architecture of the facility is pretty cool to.

I'd been meaning to spend some time at the relatively new National Music Centre and I finally did today. It's fantastic! 5 floors celebrate the Canadian music industry and its talented, colourful, diverse stars. What's great is the showcasing of how music affects us psychologically, and the interactive component of the exhibit is very engaging. A fine investment in time here in the new StudioBell Centre.

I love it so much. A lot of instruments that can be played. It's so interactive. I really like the perfomance of the organ from Jason. It's really interesting. You need to go to all the floors.

Second time going and a great place to spend a couple hours. Whether you enjoy the history of Canadian music, or like myself, taking in the beautiful architecture - a worthwhile visit to say you've been there at least once.

During the pandemic, their third floor interactive installments are unavailable. Parking is available right outside and is usually $5 for 24 hours. Would make a great trip if also planning to walk around East Village and Inglewood if you're from out of town.

Multiple music venues and displays of amazing variety. Notable Canadian musos, unique instruments, interactive music/motion room-too much to itemize in 50 words or less. A satisfying expedition for the musically-inclined. If your date shares that inclination you'll both have a very good time!
