Hate this airport the most. Staff speaks English so badly... It's just noise. To get from terminal 2 to terminal 3 took me 4 hours instead 1. They just forced me to go in and out of the airport and didn't really care about me. And finally forced me to go back to my air company office to PRINT my boarding pass! The worst experience ever! No wifi! The password never comes! No actual support for travelers. Nothing good. The hourly lounge! That's something else too. 120 USD for 6 hours in 2x2 meters room without bathroom. Only shared shower and toilet... I was shocked. I am still shocked.

Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK)and Beijing Nanyuan Airport (NAY) both serve the city of Beijing in China.Beijing Nanyuan Airport is the closest to the city centre in Beijing, it is just 11 miles away and takes 35 minutes by bus from the airport. Beijing Capital International Airport is the primary hub for international travel inBeijing. Located 20 miles away from centralBeijing, the fastest public transport from the airport to the city center by train and it takes around 60-80 minutes Beijing Capital International Airport(PEK) is the primary hub in Beijing, it handles both short haul and long haul flights within China and across the globe. PEK is served by many top airlines such as Air Canada, British Airways, Emirates Airlines, Qatar Airlines, Turkish Airlines, and many more. So if you are a traveller who prefers flying with top flag airlines then this is the airport to fly into Beijing. It is served by its own train station directly to central Beijing and its environs, and also including buses. But this is a farther airport compared to Beijing Nanyuan which is not very far and smaller with less facilities. Transportation from this airport to the city centre is very comfy and very long as well. The airport has 3 terminals for domestic and international travel as against Nanyuan airport which has two but uses only one for domestic flights. Getting around the airport is entirely another hassle on its own not forgetting the larger crowds at the airport with more queues and flight delays.
This place is a joke. Layover in terminal E which has nothing except 1 or 2 restaurants, coffee shop and a few other shop. Wifi is totally sucks, connected but not working or at super slow speed. Not much to do, it big and it hot. This is the worst airport i ever been to. It
Giant, modern and very safe airport.Great number of shops, restaurants and entertainment within the boarding.Go with time there are always many people and many security controls (do not carry, lighters, matches or external batteries, etc.) inform you before going to So avoid having to throw some things away.
Worst airport ever!! We had an 8 hr layover, it felt more like a prison. It was cold and there wasn't much for restaurants or shopping. I will avoid this airport in the future
Pretty bad airport in general. Be careful to bring cash if you have a layover here because there are no ATMs and the drinks dispensers do not take cards
Traviling in China is a hassle compared with international destinations, airport is fairly clean but everything is over priced. Avoid buying anything from the airport even if its in the duty free as it wont be cheaper. Dont exchange money unless you really need it, you will pay much for it. Airline lounges got low quality food, i advice you ear well before you come, safe trip all
I had a layover of 11h in this airport. To be honest, after a long time you cannot find much to do, but it has different restaurant options, plenty of stores and what's best, a hotel in the airport where you can sleep and take a shower, paying per hours. That was a great solution for me, and you cannot find this option in many airports.
The organization is as pretty as the building can be seen! We had a few hours here and wanted to take the chance to see the city. Fill out the procedure cruelly with pieces of paper, then find the right counter, which is almost impossible without signage, wait in line for completely useless bureaucratic actions to get a funny stamp in the passport so that the next one can look at the next counter, and the next and the next, ... the staff rude (nothing seen from the land of smiles) and can't speak a word of english !!! In the international terminal ... Incredible! If you intend to use your stay and want to have the 48-hour visa, bring plenty of time for the entry procedure, at least 1.5-2 hours! And don't forget, the same blooms when you want to go back to the airport! With an 8-hour stay, you have to consider whether it's still worth it and worth the nerves! The whole thing culminates in the fact that a large advertising poster hangs in front of your nose while waiting with advertising for the great city of Beijing and the invitation to follow Beijing on Facebook and Co. ... You really don't know whether you should laugh or cry! No Facebook, no Google, no WhatsApp ... So virtually no Internet! And if you have made it to the Airport Express, which should then take you from the airport to the city center, you have to realize that you cannot pay for the tickets with Visa, here you actually need cash ... At an international airport with thousands Tourists !! Really, we are cured of China and would not book again if it can be avoided !!
Beijing Capital International Airport (China): As the world's second busiest airport (welcomes 83.7 million passengers a year), the airport in Beijing plays an important role in the development of the capital. Chinese capital. The airport is expanded and upgraded, with Terminal 3 being rated as the 10th best station in the world.
The airport is fine but the directions are little confusing, especially if you are making an international connection. Even the signs for restroom are not very clear. However good thing is that they have showers for passengers.
At 24Jun 2014,take Singapore Airlines Boeing 777-300 Passenger Flight SQ801 from Beijing to Singapore,Seat 35B,Gate E11,Terminal3,Boarding time 11:35PM.
Super bad airport. Very rude staff. There can be long waiting times. Avoid this airport if possible. Entry procedure very off-putting - typically China. You are treated like a serious criminal. The security check is extremely strict, lighters are generally prohibited and must be disposed of.
I travel every year at least twice via beijing capital international airport. The customs process is well organised, the duty free shopping for skincare products and cigarette are quite cheap, and it is often recommended to shop in the airport luxury skincare brands such as SKII. However, some of the infrastructure is very disppointing. The toilet for handicapped is very badly equipped in terminal 3. For my colleagues who can not speak Chinese, i quite often hear that it is difficult because very few personnel at airport speak English.
Beautiful airport will amazing lounges. People Mover is fast and scheduled intermittently. Directions are very well places and the Chinese hospitality is worth noting.
The giant airport is one of the largest in the world, with a plying train, between terminals. It seems that an impressive part of densely populated China is flying away somewhere)) A large number of shops "six free fries", catering and lounge areas. Safety at height. At the border, a contact search is carried out, performed by "Kungfuist inspectors" within 3 seconds)). In general, everything is at a decent level.
One of the biggest airports and also one of the most beautiful I have ever seen in my life. It is huge - like most places in China - however it has an ethereal and quite pleasant look. Although always crowded you will not even notice given its grandeur. It looks like you're in a mall
I think it's the worst airport I've been to. It is huge but empty as soon as you need something, you have to walk for miles. There must be a dozen shops, everything else is closed, so we're really bored. There are very few billboards for poorly maintained flights, no communication: only 1 person with information that speaks very approximate English.
In addition, and most importantly, the staff is obnoxious: not attentive, not helpful. We missed our flight: no one to help us, to direct us. We were almost bawling ...
In short ... if I could put less, I would put less than one star. So if you can avoid this airport of misfortune, do it!
The airport is reasonably comfortable, with a good air conditioning system. I had an 8 hour transfer and I manage to get some sleep on their orange seats. However, there is a lack of these seats in some areas.
For families, there is a big playground that your children could enjoy!
I arrived with little time for my connecting flight and I nearly missed my flight due to long queus and short staff... once I got through security and to the gates a smiley airport chauffeur offered me and other passengers a lift to the right gates...what a nice thing I thought !!! ....Except for the fact that the guy was asking US$10 each. One passenger jumped off the vehicle right away, two others paid $20 and I offered US$1 upon arrival to my gate which obviously the chap didn't like and turned it down. BEWARE of this and REFUSE paying. What a nice welcome to China !!!
Encountered the worst airport inspection in history! ! After passing the customs inspection, the attitude of the staff was extremely poor. There was no language communication with the passengers during the whole trip, and the passengers had been gesticulating without a smile or basic greetings. When I suspected that the customs officers at Beijing Airport were all dumb and disabled, they clamored with each other about their after-get off work schedule. First, no one is interested in your private life. Second, the real airport only hears the staff shouting loudly. Are you all from the vegetable market?
Being born at the Capital Airport is really embarrassing and lacks the most basic respect and courtesy between people! ! ! It is easy to misunderstand that Chinese people are rude! ! ! Really really shameful! ! !
One of the worst airport i have been. The transfer through this airport was horrible, they STEAL (there is no other word) me little bottle of alcool & lighter. The delay of inspection are endless, the WIFI doesn't work, all the price are in Chinese, etc.. , etc...
Despite the size, this shitty airport has very few security checks (at least for international flights), you have to queue here forever. And not all controls are open yet. You sometimes stand for a quarter of an hour without moving. There is not even a fast lane for first and business class guests. There is a bomb check at the entrance to the airport and 2 passport controls in front of the security check. Absolutely unnecessary. This shitty airport didn't deserve a single star.
Very bad airport. Officials acting/working very complicated, very ineffective and some of them falling asleep while @ work (security officials!) we had an 8 hour layover and where not allowed to leave the airport. There is no ATM (!) only offices with card readers, there is no smoking area (!), a lot of the employees don't understand English, looked at us like we were aliens if we asked some things most of the shops where closed, informations where hard to find, but they have free showers, clean mostly, at least some nice things... We we're very surprised how complicated things can be... Seems the Chinese like it like this... Why simple and easy when it works the complicated way too...
Horrible airport. Suffered in this place for 14 hours. It is BEYOND FREEZING COLD WITH NO ESCAPE. Not even the bathroom hand dryers will get warm. Or the bathroom water. Yes when you have suffered through the night and are so cold your Stuffing your whole body inside your sweater, you try to wash your hands for warmth. No blankets anywhere. No heat. No nothing. No WiFi. No English. Just pure torture. People are jerks. They just snap at you in Chinese. I could go on for days about this miserable experience but just read the other reviews and you'll get it.
The airport is clean but my god that airport is boring af... No wifi..No smoking section..and nothing to do...ive been to many airports but i try to avoid beijing as much as possible...
It is a gigantic and modern airport. I used the services of this airport 7 times. All about the Boeing B 747. The four-engine two-story aircraft is capable of carrying 416 - 524 passengers. Is an capable of flying at speeds of up to 988 km / h distance 14 205 km. Interestingly, the aircraft consists of more than 6 million parts, which come from 33 countries. The length of electrical wiring in the aircraft reaches 274 km, length pipes is 8 km. The aircraft has 16 tires on the landing gear and two tires on the nose of the landing gear. The height of the tail is 19.4 m, which corresponds to the sixth floor of the building. Its production required 75 000 technical those drawings. Max. the capacity of the fuel tanks is 216,507 liters. On board this aircraft, I flew flights with a total length of 61,457 km.
We entered China through the new Beijing airport and despite the fact that there was a health alarm, we did not waste much time on security checks. The airport is very large but it is perfectly organized inside and connected to the city. The interior areas are perfectly signposted and you don't waste too much time. Many shops, many corridors but not as many people as in other smaller airports.
Nothing works. No internet access. Cannot rent a car. Self-checkins don't work. Airline websites don't work. The airport's own website doesn't work. Delays of 4-5 hours are typical. Useless.
Huge airport, several terminals, more or less good. It is however impossible to pass a lighter, security controls are very straddling the subject. The terminals are of course linked together by a "Free Shuttle".
for me, this is one of the best airport in this world. clean and beautiful architec. me and my family happy with the crew cause they helpful about the costumers
I was surprised at the number of boarding gates. I think there are more than three times as much as Narita Airport. The area is about to get lost. It is an airport that can show off the ugliness of China.
A ghost airport. After security control almost no restaurants. Internet is crap. In winter the airport is heated not enough. Airport express cannot be paid by credit card, cash only (whereas this is a problem for whole Beijing). For money exchange they want not less than a 60 RBM fee! English of staff could be better, but they are mostly friendly.
This place is crowded from Shanghai. I think is to become better at the new airport. There is a time system capsule hotel and it is possible to take a shower. In the case of connecting the shower can be used free of charge, but it can not go there in case of arrival
Avoid T2 at all cost. Arrived at 11:30 pm. Thousands of people and very few taxis. Going to T3 is not an option as they shut down the rail link early. Waited 2 hours for taxi.
Great facilities and some of the immigration staff are not bad. Security really goes fast for international departures. 24/72 hr visa agent was quick and nice. Highly recommend the Air China Business Lounge on T3E, great food and restrooms were excellent.
Unless you are fluent in mandarin or are already familiar with China/Beijing do not have an extended layover here. It is very difficult to find someone to help.
The airport is very stylish, but you must reserve enough time to go to the airport. Because the security check is strict and there are many people, it will take more time in this part.
I travel a few times a year via Beijing Airport. The entire system is quite inefficient (e.g. passport check, security check, baggage check, check-in and baggage claim). It can easily take an hour or more to get through all checks (there are also lucky days where you can get through the system in about 30 minutes). Whenever possible I travel via Tianjin Airport which is much more efficient but does not have many shops, restaurants and lounges. Having said that, Beijing Airport is a boring airport and does not offer a good shopping or dining experience (compared to other airports of the same size).
Had a really amazing experience at Beijing capital airport. When I arrived into terminal 2 from immigration to bag collection to taxi only took 30 minutes very efficient. Leaving beijing I was hesitant after reading the reviews to transit. Not all what I expected I flew Hainan airlines that had agents meet me at terminal 1 drove me to terminal 2 re check in complete the transfer procedures. My bag was all they way checked through so I did not have to recheck in bags customs and security were really efficient and friendly have no problems coming through this airport again
The airport hardware is pretty good. However, first of all, you must reserve ample time to transfer. The flight is delayed by 1 hour. There is no empty bridge connection. You have to take the stairs to the apron and it is raining. At the Daxing restaurant at Gate E19 of Terminal 3, it was super thunderous. The 45 yuan beef noodles were made with a few small pieces of canned beef. The Yangzhou fried rice was super hard. , Same as 45. The price is acceptable for the airport, but the food is really speechless
Airport is ok, but every time I've flown through here my flight has been delayed due to "fog." Had a 3 hour delay and they just announced it by writing it on a white board in Chinese characters, so that wasn't fantastic, but not sure if that's the fault of the airport or China Eastern Airline.
The design failed, the airport was big enough, but why the security inspection area is so small, the security inspection has to be fine, but there are few security inspection channels. It takes at least 40 minutes to spend the time here. It is easy to catch up with the plane. Everyone needs to check after the security check. Going to the boarding gate, the store waiter inside is very relaxed, because no one has time to go shopping. Very poor in the capital
