Brought a large group in today. Seated us together upstairs in an empty room. Our waiter was completely unprofessional. Told us we could not get apps.... just pizza. Only came to check on us when he wanted to tell us how many customers they had. We have visited here every summer but I won't go back. So many great memories, but it's time to find a new favorite. Ps, why on earth would he feel the need to tell us how his tip was split.

I'm a lover of pizza, and this place did not disappoint. Ordered the chicken pesto medium size for two, and it was more than enough! The crust with honey at the end was a nice surprise that tasted almost like a dessert after your pizza.

We love coming to this restaurant. When we are in Denver we search out this particular place to eat. The pizza is so wonderful and the service is even better. We love the feel of the restaurant and the food is an added bonus. We recently tried the pepperoni pizza with green chili and we were impressed. Great flavor. Only problem was we didn t buy enough. Next time we buy a larger pizza, I overheard someone mention to plan on 1lb of pizza per person.

Horrible experience today. We were there on a business lunch treating people from out of town. The place was packed and the waitress got 2 of our 3 pizzas completely wrong. One pizza was to be diary free yet was loaded down with cheese. The manager Ally came over and she was rude, abrupt and snotty to us. We were 5 adults paying 130.00 for 3 pizzas, one salad bar and 5 sodas and were completely talked down to. Ally actually walked away from us when we were trying to figure out the order with the waitress. Lunch took over 2 hours and we all ate in stages as they tried to redo the pizzas. Another customer complained about their screwed up order and how the manager blew them off. We heard the wait staff tell her that Ally was the owners daughter and there was nothing they could do. Ally finally took the least expensive pizza off our bill and gave us a 15% discount all the time acting like we were a major inconvenience! We have been coming there a few times a year since 1976 but never again! Note to owner...hire a qualified manager not your little girl or at least teach her some manners.

A local mecca for pizza. Friendly service, gimmicky (but actually historic) mine theme and solid pizza. Hard to describe since it isnt Chicago, not new york and not fale deep dish. Something all its own. But the crust and honey is awesome.

Extremely busy weekend day, mid COVID. Very chaotic by definition. The ladies were incredible: Helpful, Attentive, Empathetic literally everything you could ask for from employees on a day like this. Emma, Alex, Justice, Meghan, Ariel. (I asked for their names) Absolute grace under pressure. The complete opposite of this was the Manager m, vRandy: Rude, Stressed, Inconsistent in his instructions, Condescending. He almost ruined my entire experience. I watched him interact with other customers after my experience with him. If you care about this business do NOT put this guy in charge or up front when the place is slammed...or at least get him some training. Subtract him from the equation and it s 5 HUGE STARS. The food being delicious goes without saying. Thank you again ladies of Beau Jo s Idaho Springs.

To me, Beau Jo's means summer. I'm in the mountains a lot in the warmer months, and Beau Jo's in Idaho Springs is always a favorite when dinner rolls around. We never know when we'll be there so we can't make a reservation, and we are usually a pretty big group. Unless it's a busy Saturday night, they can almost always find room for us.

You come here for the pizza. The ingredients are always fresh and the crust is oh so good with honey on it. They even have an exceptionally fresh salad bar. You can always count on a cold beer, too.

Good pizza. Not a huge fan of the extra large crust but the prairie pie is a nice alternative. A fun and iconic place to visit.

I go to this place everytime I'm in the mountains. Best pizza ever and the management took great care of us when our order wasn't quite right. I highly recommend this place!

This place is amazing. Our waiter Chewy was the coolest!!! He knew so much history about the restaurant as well as the area. Pizza was great. I recommend the mile high crust and be sure to use the honey... Great atmosphere.

Incredible pizza, incredible service. Beau Jo's reputation is well-deserved, and this location in Idaho Falls is the best of the lot. Whether you're skiing or just passing through, make this your dinner stop.

Good service, big place, great pizza. Lots of options. I would get the 2 lb pizza for 2 people. The 1 pound they recommend is like a personal pizza. The honey you can put on the crust table side is a good compliment to the crust

It can be a long wait but the food is great. Service is normal depending on who it is. Parking is pretty terrible, but such is mountain tourist traps I suppose. This is a Colorado staple though so you need to try it.

Food was good and service too, just too long of a wait...kids want their food NOW... atmosphere was great...

Edit: This is the worst experience I've had here yet. Our waitress forgot our drinks and we waited half an hour for them before we actually got them, and they were out of a lot of stuff.

A historic restaurant from my youth. It's not the greatest food or service, but is full of old small mountain time charm along with original "Colorado style" pizzas.

Service was great! Food was amazing! Reasonable pricing. Will definitely be going back when I snowboard next spring!

The original and the best. Don't worry about the higher prices on the pizzas compared to other pizza places, the pies are so thick that you can only have a couple slices anyway, so you're guaranteed to have leftovers.

Pretty fun experience. We got the Mountain pie crust. Super thick crust that they recommend drizzling honey over. I wasnt super crazy about the flavor but it was fun and different. Theyve got a classic old school salad bar. The kind with chocolate pudding and canned fruit. Tons of veggies and really good salad dressing. We got wings as an app. Flavors were really good. We all thought that they were a little under done. I like it when the skin is crispy. They have GF and vegan options. Really cool building. Really great service. Really great beer selection.

They are so busy they lose the real feel of a good mountain pizza place.

My wife and I come here anytime we are in Colorado. They have a great pizza! The Idaho Springs location is our favorite and it's a cool little town. We both highly recommend heading here, you won't be sorry!!!

The pizza and service were great! A few things lacking... The bathrooms were very stinky, the dishes used for serving were so old and just plastic plates and cups! Beau jo's should definitely upgrade to non-plastic!! Overall, great! I would have loved if the server poured our water instead of placing stacked cups and a pitcher on the table!

Pizza was great! Everyone at the table got some variation of the mountain style crust and everyone enjoyed what they offered.

Pizza was pretty basic considering. Drafts were cheap, but one pizza and one drink came to $49 mmmm I've had cheaper days. The menu was super confusing, too.

Hot and Crowded. We were here at 3pm on a Saturday afternoon, and the wait for our party of 6 was approximately 40 minutes. The building is massive, but it was still astonishingly busy. It was also very hot inside, despite it being a very pleasant day.

The food is good, but this location does not do the lunch buffet that some of the other locations have. Beau Jo's is one of my favorite restaurants in the area, but this location almost always disappoints.
