The wait / skill of the genius bar is lacking compared to other locations, but the store itself is big and beautiful.
I came here and looked around for a while, I was messing with some of the hardware, but no employees asked if I needed help. There are tons of employees, but not one asked if I needed help. I ended up having to approach one and ask for help, but as soon as I did that he was helpful. I did discover though that workers know nothing about new products coming out, so they couldn't help in my decision making process.
Bought an iPhone 5s over a year ago in a different country. Something about icloud. I couldn't remember my account. This wasnt any help at all.
no customer service. nobody pay attention. stay away from apple products too expensive service. a cracked mackbook air screen 400 USD. will never buy their products ever.
My time is valuable.. I was really want to buy a 15" Lap tap or a Tablet they told me to wait they ask for my name.. and I waited 15min that's to long time apple Store you just lost a customer.
It s all nice and clean - as in every Apple Store - but you absolutely need to ask someone for help if you are going to buy something as there are usually just too many customers. So the workers are stressed and in a rush, it s not such a good experience as a customer.
Sucks. Wanted AirPods and had to talk with 3 different people to buy one. One pointed me to another and then finally to someone who was just selling AirPods there. Horrible experience again (had one already in the SF store).
Went in looking for support for my iMac. And kept getting referred to other people in the store so I ended up just leaving
Not my favorite
Sometimes you're acknowledged, sometimes you're not
For this store I would give the employees 5 stars without question. But I'm reviewing Apple here and my dissatisfaction is growing daily. I have the iPhone, the iPad, two macs etc.. These products are getting worse and worse it seems every year as the price continues to rise. I can tell I'm not the only one simply because it's impossible to get an appointment at the genius bar anymore without days or weeks notice. This does not speak well for a trillion dollar company that has some of the most expensive hardware on the market.
The song remains the same with this location.Entirely scripted, anti warranty replacing game players. They are all the same... full of the suck.
It was before Steve Jobs death when it was farther down the 3rd street promenade.I believe it was
right after his death when I first started going in this store.
it will always have a special
place in my heart. You see , I was poor back
then . I brought in my bricked 3GS .
The genius took my device, and told me to "take a seat in the theatre seating area ,and they would come and get me ".
An hour went by ,and I got up
and asked for the disposition on my 3GS. They said "a few more minutes sir just have a seat ".
I went back to my seat ,and being so tired I fell asleep. Next thing i remember is being picked up by 4 or 5 guys ,and being tossed out on the street.
I had no idea what happened , as they held the doors shut .
This was all documented on Yelp shortly after it happened . Go to the Apple Store reviews 3rd street
Santa Monica . My username there is A.G.
Thanks again Apple 3rd street . You get zero stars forever in my heart . 1 star being the trade off to make a review . MFSOBS GFYS
They are closed. Google maps need to be up dated
And no parking
No free parking
Very clean store with super friendly and helpful staff.
Horrible customer experience - had to wait for ages in line to check things out, no one cared that there was just one cashier
I've had a question about the SD card slot on new MacBook Pro that I haven't been able to find an answer for on the internet. I stopped in at the Santa Monica Apple Store, and asked them if they knew. While they were not able to find the answer, they did try the SDHC card I brought with me to see if it worked (it did!)
The store was crowded on a Sunday afternoon, but there plenty of Apple Store workers to help. I had at least 4 different ask if there was anything I needed help with. Great service in my book!
Classic apple store. Busy place. Make sure to get an appointment if you need service.
Just went to the store with technical problem
I met Jeremy as he mentioned store manager
Very un professional and aggressive
Very bad experience with this guy
Do not let sales tech Cindy help you. Every move she suggested was potentially disastrous, unless you knew better not to fall into her trap.
I went in to upgrade my 64G iPhone Xr to a 128G phone. First impression: she was totally uninterested in her job. She told me my phone was backed up last night so she will start to wipe out my phone. I asked if i can backup again just in case i did something important, and since this is incremental it shouldn t take time. She dumped me right away, asked me to find another tech after my incremental backup.
Literally 2 minutes later, backup was complete. They assigned Cindy to me again. Next, Cindy wanted to wipe out my current phone again, before the new phone was even set up and everything ported over successfully. I asked if she can wipe out AFTER my new phone is working. Thought this was common sense. She said she needed her manager to approve that !
Her manager approved it but asked me to come back tomorrow so she can help me personally. Guess what Cindy was doing next? She asked me to pay for the new phone and come back the next day with both phones. I asked myself What if the store would not let me return the old phone tomorrow? Do i wanna be stuck with 2 phones ?
If you have to visit this store, make sure you refuse to let Cindy mess up your plans.
I had to ask someone 4 times to pay for a product, the rest is beautiful, spacious, clean and has everything expected.
Absolutely the worst at communication regarding product availability and service capabilities. I spent 2.5 hrs waiting for a phone the could not fix snd then tried to charge me to fix it. Then manager offers a free phone case and screen protector to remedy the first horrible experience. Return after purchasing new phone somewhere else to get the items prpmided and they stopped selling those items months ago for my phobe series. The manager knew what phone I had because of the service issue. Absolutely the worst. Will not return NO MATTER WHAT.
Experienced it multiple times and every single time their people have been unhelpful! The worst customer service out of all the Apple stores in LA county!!
I have deduced and in this building there is a very famous youtuber and I will not say names.
Got my new IPAD and they helped me get set up within 15 minutes.
Mandatory stop site if you are an apple fan. One of the most beautiful stores I have to visit. Friendly and attentive staff. They answer your questions easily and help. Classic apple experience where you leave more than satisfied with your purchase or even without buying anything.
Although I switched to the OnePlus 6T recently and I am moving away from Apple products, this is an amazing store. We were there for the grand reopening. Got free t-shirt and enjoyed the vibe. Very nice store.
Typical Apple store. You better like paying a lot for that I phone you ll love to hate, yet seemingly can t live without.
Brought my macbook in, it's been running kinda slow lately. They had it for about a week, got it back yesterday and it running like new now. Thanks Apple service team!
Their customer service made me feel like I am getting a phone without paying them.
This store sucks! So noisy that it is difficult to think. I will never, ever go here again. What a waste of time. Zero stars !
The staff will ignore you until you corner them. Then, they will practically treat you as a nuisance even though you're about to purchase the latest MacBook Pro with cash in hand. Meanwhile, while they disappear to who knows where to retrieve your product, you feel like you're standing in the middle of an overcrowded greenhouse, only slightly more humid.
If you insist on buying an apple product in store, just go to a less touristy location.
Friendly staff and they even let me charge my phone that had tab out of battery! Not sure if they were meant to, but very grateful!
Really nice store in Santa Monica Downtown. Guys here are super polite.
The skylight ceiling and bare walls give this location a feeling of unique simplicity compared to its neighbors.
People very friendly and helpful. Each time I come in I find additional suggestion on how to improve my enjoyment of the apple products
really bad quality these pigs did not let techsmartt (a youtuber) get the iphone 7 plus and then they gave the other people vouchers and stuff but tech smartt didnt get anything :( PIGS!
BEST APPLE STORE IVE BEEN TO! Came in with a hair line crack and shatter in the bottom left of my iPhone screen. I had asked before if the hairline crack was covered for free, and I was told it was. Came back in today with extra points of impact and an even bigger crack. They listened to me, trusted my word, and still provided the service for free. Great people and great service.
Only advice I can give is to set up an appointment a day before hand, or else it will be hard to get the time you want. But, even without they take care of you well!
Suprisingly a very big apple store. Staff are very friendly and the genius staff able to help me despite not making an appointment. Great apple store experience.
Terry Gardner, was so very skilled and helpful.
She is a treasure for Apple, Santa Monica.
I called to make an appointment for someone. Spoke to an employee named Jay, and he was very rude. He hung up before advising to back up device and making sure she took her ID w her to the appointment. The whole time during the conversation, he kept sighing as if he was being bothered by the request to make the appointment. I am also an Apple employee and I know that type of behavior is in no way condoned. I was very disappointed and embarrassed by his behavior.
Beautiful store. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Only negative is that during peak hours you will have to wait. Staff states that they always have everything in stock (iPhone models that were out of stock online were available in-store) . Also, seem to have a larger than normal selection of non-Apple accessories. On hot sunny days store can be uncomfortably warm.
An Apple Store as we are accustomed to the brand, spacious, bright and with good attention
I love all my Mac products. My 7 year old macbook is still running well.
After being told we could make an appointment for Genius Bar help we waited an hour before we were called, and another 30 minutes passed before anyone even came to see what we needed. This was our third time coming in and being told the wait was over 2 hrs. Poor service all the way around.
Very crowded. Often times there is a long wait, so book ahead if you can. If you've never been to an apple store before, you should know that somebody will greet you near the door then put you in a que. Once another employee is free, they will then come over and help you. There is no cash register. You can only pay by waiting for an employee to serve you.
Absolutely hate Apple and everything it stands for. A racket we all have fallen for including myself. Can t hate on the employees just hate the company!
Beautiful location and always crowded. Knowledgeable staff bc they love the products.
Nice, convenient space with knowledgeable and helpful employees.
It's an apple store. You get what you expect: a bunch of employees standing around with no real knowledge of anything the store sells, just superficial information.
A lot of delay in attention. We requested a seller and had to wait more than 15 minutes to be served. The attention is better in other places in the city such as the Farmers market.
Famous philosopher George Berkley, "If a customer comes to a store and no one is there to see them, is it really called customer service?" Had an appointment at the "Delicate Genius Bar", and waited over an hour and left! What a joke!!!!! Apple store....Third Street Promenade.....where courtesy goes to die:/ 0 out of 5 stars
I have to give these guys a high rating for the great service. One of the most attentive and knowledgeable Apple stores I've visited.
I was trying to call apple support but a unusual number called me when I clicked the done button to get the 1800 for apple. Thinking it was an employee of apple I asked him for help on my AirPods. The story goes on but to make it short an employee or who I thought was one. Has asked me to buy 2 google play gift cards, eBay cards, and Walmart cards, the items came but we never got our money back for a safety deposit. Is there anyway to refund the google play cards? And his name was mark benson the number came from Santa Monica.
After buying the new iphone 11 pro, asking specifically for theft and loss protection and confirming with the salesman ( I do not remember his name but after this experience of him rushing my purchase and lying to me while looking into my eyes about having loos and theft protection, which after having my phone stolen I found out I didn't have - if I owned the store I would fire him and the managers that also lied to me about trying to help my situation, not getting back to me when they said they would, numerous managers making promises to help fix the sales man mistake with no results but what they call a resolution of free AirPods, lol an item worth maybe 10% of my purchase). Let me back up. I do not recommend shopping here. What the first red flag was and looking back I should have stopped the sale right there and then - a fraud alert went off on the card I was using, causing us to have to redo the transaction. I am a loyal customer who has been purchasing high end Apple products for years to use for my personal business as a photographer. I asked specifically for full applecare coverage, damage, theft loss, the whole deal. The salesman promised me this is what I was getting and the first time around I checked that I was getting the coverage I asked for. When I'm spending around $1400 I expect that I'll be valued as a customer. This is the start of the sh*t show I experienced. After paying for everything, I looked the salesman in the eye and asked if I was covered for loss and theft and damages, he quickly replied yes. 3 weeks later my phone gets stolen at a festival. I reach out to Apple expecting I'll be able to get a replacement for a couple hundred dollars. Instead they tell me I'm not covered for loss and theft. I was blown away.... I should've checked my email receipt but I trusted what the salesman told me and being I thought I had purchased the correct coverage, and he confirmed it. I took this to Apple support, they sent me back to the apple store where a manager asked the salesman what he rememebered, of course nothing. This manager wanted to help so he said, thought he could find a creative solution to help us both and would call my father later that day or the next. 3 days later, no reply. So I call.... ( I had already spent atleast 4 hours on the phone with Apple and the only reply I was getting was that they could do nothing for me. They (a HUGE company) can't do anything when their employee made a mistake. Now, after telling everyone I talked to my phone was been stolen already another manager I was in contact with said that they would honor the agreement that I thought I had purchased. I call the number they give me only to find out that the manager thought the phone wasn't stolen when I had already told this person and about 6 others it was, and again, they can't do anything. Apple no care is now one of my favorite lines to describe this company. I was lied to by the salesman, managers, and after hours of negotiating something all they did is offer a pair of airpods. What the f*ck am I supposed to do with airpods without a phone. The store and company put all the fault on me, from my understanding the store manager could have under special circumstances offered me a discounted price for replacement, which they did not. Calling this a legality issue, when it was an issue of them making a mistake and not owning up to it. I call this the scum of the earth. Please avoid what happened to me and DO NOT SHOP HERE. Learn from my mistake, and dont trust what their salesman tell you. Read whats in writing as soon as you can, otherwise they will leave you with nothing like they did to me.
Beautiful space but horrible acoustics. So much glass and concrete it creates a horrible din that grates on you after a few minutes. Difficult to enjoy browsing and impossible to test and headphones or speakers. Not shockingly, this was built after the demise of Steve Jobs who must be rolling over in his grave at such a horrible design for a store whose signature is the design of their products.
Apple store with a fabulous collection of camel in everything ..
Beauty Brand.
Beauty shop design ..
The beauty of the street and the place in it ..
I love him
There was an Apple employee who was very rude to me. I just came to ask a question but his attitude was terrible, made me feel I was doing something very wrong just for asking him! I understand he may be busy but at that time he wasn t doing anything, that s why I approached him.
Horrible experience with managerial staff!! We were made to wait 4 hours for nothing. DO NOT TRY THIS STORE. Apple at the grove is much more competent and customer oriented.
apple store employees are really snobbish, aren't they? their attempts to make me feel less informed about technology than they are have fallen short, since I more or less have an idea what I am looking for. But this is not the first time I see them treat customers, usually older adults, the way they would treat children.
Awesome, one of my good friends works at this location.
Gorgeous huge Apple Store. We weren't shopping, just visiting, playing, and sneaking the wifi. The wifi worked a treat, staff said hello, and we learned more about the products too.
Terrible Service. I went in a few weeks ago with my MacBook Pro i7 because it no longer connected to WiFi. They said I had to make an appointment and come back in a week. A week later they told me they did not have the part. Another week later they said I would need to leave my computer for 5-days to install. I needed it for a east coast business trip. I asked if they could fix it now with the part that came in or could make a repair appointment and bring it in while they fix it the same day, and they said, "We don't do that here". I left and drove up the street to Unitek on Wilshire Blvd and they fixed it in 20 minutes and had the part in stock. With all that money in the bank, they still have the worse repair service of any company.
I payed $515 for Apple to repair my MacBook Pro s cracked screen. I received the laptop back a few days later and opened it back up to find the screen broken again in the exact same way. They told me they would repair it for free when I brought it back in, but then apparently changed their mind and sent it back to me broken claiming they can t do that because it was my fault for it breaking. Great customer service. Thank you. A billion dollar company that apparently can t afford $500, even when it s their mistake. They basically just took $500 from me and held my computer hostage for a few days.
Great layout with all the Apple products you can think of under one roof. Staff are friendly and helpful
