It's a Beautiful Place with a Pleasent Atmosphere, Salsa Dancing in the Street Sunday Night, Best time to go after 6 p.m. or anytime in the afternoon. Enjoy !!!!
I was here for my laptop repair , had appointment at 11am , checked-in and waited for someone to attend me till 11:25am ! The waiting time is high. Rest is all good .
I just have to write a quick review to say THANK YOU to Dakota, who has helped me on two separate occasions. He and other employees have gone above and beyond to not only solve problems, but also have been super awesome, friendly and helpful.. I love this store..
I always enjoy checking out the latest Apple products here. Big and spacious store.
The Internet was quite useful for uploading daily vlogs every morning!
Very disappointing because I love apple ! Me and a friend came in looking for a phone case and this apple employee, decided to stand right next to us the entire time watching our every move while looking at phone cases. My friend went to get a case to show me and as I turn around he's whispering to the security telling him to watch both of us. I've worked in retail so I know you racial profile people all the time but he went over board when there were many others doing the same thing.I've never felt so embarrassed and hurt in my life. Two African American students trying to enjoy their Saturday in Santa Monica and we are accused of stealing ! #NEVERagainapple !
It's an Apple Store, pretty big. Cool design feels like a green house.
So my clumsy self accidentally spilled hot mustard inside the loudspeaker at the bottom of my iphone5s, the next day I realize that it was no longer functioning properly and the sound muffled. I came across the awesome reviews for this place and decided to check them out. I was able to hop right the train at eastern market on my way home and they manager took my info down and took my phone to the back. Very swift process. Used their wifi to watch netflix on my ipad while I waited and about 30 mins later the wonderful technician Howard gave my baby back good as new. He explained what he did and I promised not to eat over my phone again. All in all I was definitely satisfied and wouldn't hesitate to return.
Slow on service. Knowledgeable about the products but not so much about selling the products linked to networks.
Great customer support and fun times creating a movie with my son
Decent Apple Store with great smiles welcoming whoever walks in.
My daughter s birthday is right around the corner and she really wants an Apple watch. And to be honest, I kind of want an Apple watch too. I went over to the Apple store and bought one and I haven t decided if it s getting wrapped for her or if it s going on my wrist so I can make her jealous.
To preface this review, here are a list of Apple products I've purchased:
- PowerMac 6100-60
- PowerMac G4 533
- PowerBook G4 667
- MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo
- MacBook Air 2011
- Mac Pro (the garbage can) 6 core which is a $7000 workstation I use for my job
- iPhone 3GS
- iPhone 4
- iPhone 4S
- iPhone 5S
- iPod Touch 3G, 4G, 5G
- Apple Cinema Display 27"
- 2 Apple TVs
- Apple Time Capsule
- Probably many I'm forgetting
I've also worked at Apple for 3+ years as an Engineer in corporate. If you use an iPhone, you've used my software. Right now I'm the cofounder of a company that makes iOS games. So I'm pretty invested in Apple.
So I absolutely do not need to be treated like trash by the lackeys who work here, this location has been consistently disrespectful and rude. I've had genius bar issues, employees who lack product knowledge, and service slower than a race between Peter Griffin and Homer Simpson.
The final straw was today when I came to *see* (not buy) the iPhone 6. I'm trying to decide if the 6 or 6+ will work better given the size difference. I went in there and picked up one, and I'm grabbed by the security guard. He yells at me that I can't stand there. First, don't touch me, second it's an iPhone on display. He says if I want to watch the iPhone, look over "there" as he points off waywardly. Why the hell would I come to the Apple store to look at a picture of an iPhone? I have this tool called the Internet where I can pleasure myself to iPhone pics all day if I cared to.
I explained I'm looking at the iPhone on display which Apple has hooked up to some headphones, but he's insistent I'm not allowed to. What the hell? And employee finally comes over and says they're trying to setup a line there or something, and led me to a different iPhone. At this point I was pissed off and left. Then I went back in to try to speak to a manager who the original employee claimed he was. Nothing but derision as I explained they might want to train their security guards to be a bit more cordial to customers.
If I wasn't so invested in the Apple ecosystem, this experience would significantly sour me on the products, and if I were on the fence - I'd more seriously evaluate Android / Windows. Fortunately for Apple, my livelihood is dependent on them, so that simply means I won't go to this location anymore and will have to make the trek to Manhattan Beach or the Grove now.
But really, this location can be replaced by yet another Starbucks for all I care.
As soon as I raised my camera to take a photo of the ceiling a security agent rushed me and sternly demanded I take no pictures in there. Whatever. So I picked up and iPhone right in front of me and started taking his picture over and over. More not to like about Apple.
I just want to say a BIG thanks to Justin O really to go out of his way to help me with my laptop issue. He really goes above and beyond to get the issue solved in the best way possible to make costumers happy. Justin is a value to this store and Apple company. Thanks again Justin for looking at customers problem as you do for yourself!
Although site indicates low volume at store, a phone call regarding iPhone 7 by automated voice says 'too busy to help, call back later.' NOT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE A FEW DAYS BEFORE XMAS!!
Mark was extremely helpful and attentive. Thank you!
Hey these guys and gals were really helpful, even though I didn't have a Genius Appointment. I had a high-end Mac Pro go down and the staff was really, really helpful.
Big apple store. Beautiful ceiling. Very very busy. Parking not the easiest.
The largest and most spacious Apple retail store that I ve seen so far.... huge collection, more room to interact with Apple staff and products
Third Street Promenade, in general is a must visit in LA
Terrible customer service, guy who greets you at the door looks like he is mental, I guess they busy, but they should not be rude!
It use to be a good location, but something has changed now, big management problems at this location now.
Customer service is always at the top of my list. Arriving at Apple, I had to make an appointment in order to be seen to do an exchange. It took a long time to make the appointment. Upon arriving for my appointment I had to undergo a temperature check and then stand in line on a piece of tape. I arrived at 3:15 pm and I counted 27 employees. 12 of them were just standing around talking and not helping the customers standing in line. I waited 82 minutes standing on a piece of tape just before someone would come ask what I needed. Totally unacceptable.
2hr 40 minute wait for genius bar.
Hire more people
It's in the promenade, so it's easy to get there.
However, because it is Santa Monica, the tax is a little higher.
The staff is friendly.
Be careful when buying expensive products!
Probably one of the busiest one of the bunch, but one of the nicest staff.
the warranty phone but I got switched out before from you guys is no more I do not have it so all the Apple products you guys say I have I do not have no Apple products in my name so go ahead and get ready to switch over the Android have a great day bye bye and no applicants at all either or iTunes
Horrible Customer Service, the staff @ 3rd St location are beyond rude and unhelpful! It's shows a concerning level of customer service! The staff need to be retrained on how to interact with there customers! Highly recommend you go to another Apple Store with your inquiries!!!
Great Apple store with a glass roof ! I call it the Crystal Cathedral of Apple.
The worst ever, I had an appointment at 6:30 waited till 7:15 so I asked for a store mgr and then she till me oh sorry we can't help u today !!! So unprofessional, and they would probably left setting there for much longer if I haven't asked to speak to mgr , no respect for people time .
Great staff, always ready to help with buying a product.
Got the latest Apple Iphone 11 for my wife and a 18W charger. The place was so crowded. They took the order asking wether I can stay for an hour? But served me within 15mins. Cant remember the name of the person who supported me. But he was so friendly and helpful.
I bought my BOSE Noise Cancelling 700 headphones here. Best I've owned.
Beautiful and large apple store. Staff is always very helpful and takes their time showing you what you need. They have a llproducts available and you can sample and play with them as much as you like!
Good attendants, looks like it s always full, even thought it s a big store.
I was playing with the new iPhone s camera and found some pornography on the saved photos. I told the employee about it and she didn t check the phone and kept standing next to her table.
Terrible customer service. I just want to buy something and they put me in a 20mins queue for a "specialist" haha I don't need a specialist, I need a card reader, that's it! Very bad.
Please note: I am a major Apple user but the experience at this store trying to buy anything is pretty much what Apple was talking about with their first super bowl ad. Its just that bad.
They won't tell you if what you need (in this case an iPhone 5S weeks after it came out) was in stock thus you have to roll the dice and hope they have it. If they do have it - they won't put it aside for you.
When you get to the iPhone section of the store - there are few people to talk to. You stand around waiting to talk to a self-proclaimed "genius" but they can't really help you. They have you wait in line like you are boarding a Southwest flight. In my case there were 10 people waiting to talk with a salesman or clerk I should say. 20 min later, I walked out. I came back the morning of the next day and the guy said he had the phone in stock but wasn't allowed to leave his post to help me pick out the correct accessories from the other side of the store.
I buy lots of Apple products be it online or at smaller, indy stores and now I know why. I don't care that Apple makes more profit per square foot than any other retailer including Tiffany's - they don't know how to treat customers other than poorly. Very Microsoft of them.
Stunning store in a great location. Very friendly staff.
The too perky help, charged me $800 for a problem that should have been covered by my Apple Care (which cost over $350). I was disappointed in this. Also, the in-store telephone number they gave me to follow up when to pick up my order, just leads to a series of robots impossible to get a person on the line or the info needed. I think a company can get too big (and I believe Apple is one of those, twice as large as Exxon). Am open to switching from Apple the next time I purchase a phone and computer (which is every couple years).
Horribleboth top Managers Matt & Isabel will be talking to my lawyer. They sell keyboards that are Fradulent and they pretend they don't know about the 3 class action lawsuits on the butterfly keyboard
It was very crowded since the iPhone 7 was released, but I was surprised at the spacious and spacious store. Visit the Santa Monica shopping promenade, so be sure to visit when sightseeing!
is it possible to schedule a genius bar appointment in santa monica????????????? you make it so difficult. It would also be nice if the Santa Monica Apple store would let us use their restrooms. Your there for a class and need to use the restroom-too bad, not allowed, so you must leave and search for a public restroom, none are close. RUDE
Terrible customer service. They messed with my boy TechSmartt and I would be upset as well if I went through what he went through just to get the phones he didn't want in the first place.
I always have a great experience shopping at the Apple store in Santa Monica. There are plenty of staff to help, and this place is HUGE! If you are a business customer, be sure to ask for someone from the business team for even BETTER service!
And extremely busy store as to be expected being in Santa Monica and on 3rd St. Promenade but I like that the store is wide and you have plenty a room to look at things while you re there. I ve always had good experience with their staff as well with being friendly and helpful.
Apple stores are known for their good customer service. This place was no exception. I came in right when the store opened, so I was helped right away. I needed a new phone and got a replacement. I was in and out in about 20 minutes. Not bad!
The "voice control' on my iPhone kept going off at all hours so I brought my phone in to the 3rd street promenade Apple store. When I arrived for my appointment, I had to wait an extra 15 min but OK. Then, the first guy we met with told me that there was no voice control feature on iPhone and that I must be thinking about Siri. I said, no.. it says "Voice control". He then told me there was no such thing on the phone so I googled it and showed it to him. Seems, many others have had the same issue. It was an awful experience. The guy was rude, arrogant and wrong. It was a waste of my valuable time. I left and bought a Google Pixel phone. I will never buy anything from that store again.
I think Apple screen of iPhone 6 is the worst, the phone is two weeks old and the screen cracked without falling down and the store refused to change it, if you consider iPhone then I advise you not to do!!!!
I will continue to use Apple products, but this store is bad! Poor organization, pushy sales people with few answers.
One of the best looking apple stores I've been too !
Very grateful to Tyler for sorting me out with a new iPhone in super fast time after mine took a swim. Great service. Thank you.
Waited 3-4 hours for a walk-in appointment. What is normally a short appointment and quick battery change took 3 weeks to restock their inventory.
Worst service possible. They said it would take 3 days to replace a laptop battery.
The staff here are really nice am not even a Apple electronics fan but when I went there to buy a product for gift they treat me with the highest standards of professionalism you can get even known I was dress in construction work gear they where really nice and I appreciate that
Prices do not include 10.5% taxes! That makes it possible for consumers to buy something here, but not for business customers from the Netherlands if you can settle the 21% VAT with your purchase in NL.
Brutal wait times even when you have an appointment. The staff seem to turnover quickly, have been helped by a lot of newbies who don t know how to use their devices or speak to the benefits of the ones they re selling which when you re about to spend $1,000, is terrible.
Make sure you make an appointment
Because if not you will be waiting for hours
Staff is helpful. But security sucks. As I walking a shopping was walking out and security way in the back. Just smiling about it.
