I had such a bad experience here that I may leave Apple for good. I own almost the entire apple product line: MacBook Pro Retina, Iphone 5, iPod Shuffle, iPad, and AppleTV. I went in to get my iPhone 5 checked because the battery has been dying at high percentage levels (between 35-55%). I set a genius appointment to see what was wrong. I purchased apple care with the phone directly from apple. After 2 hours the rep came back and told me they would not replace the phone because it had been tampered with - that someone went in to replace parts. Umm...what!? If I paid in advance for extended care from the manufacturer, why would I pay some joe blow on the street even more money to fix my phone? I've never taken any of my Apple products to any place other than Apple. I asked what was tampered with? What was replaced and they said there was a screw in there that they don't use. What?! My phone has never been opened or touched by anyone. I showed them original receipts and everything. The store rep said there was nothing they could do and walked away before I was done discussing the issue. I honestly feel like this is a scam. I saw numerous accounts of this happening online - all with the same scripted response. And they all had nearly the same internal issues. There is a serious quality control issue that Apple needs to fix. Anyway, the staff (not all of them, but a few) were rude in handling the complaint. I LOVED Apple, and would have considered myself one of their brand champions, but this experience shook me to the core. Just terrible.

Gigantic Apple store with lots of toys to play with, although I did have a problem finding someone to answer some questions I had on an iPad for my wife. Even when I did get someone, it was like they were eager to rush off to the next person as soon as they said hello.

A lot of people give the Apple stores flack when they don't get what they want. I've found this store to be pretty helpful overall. However, its in a very busy area so be ready for a longer than average wait time.

These are all standard and crammed full of customers that want to spend lots of money. They'll help you with any product you've bought and either repair or replace it. Such as iPhone or MacBook. You need to remember that it's best to make an appointment unless you're buying new product. Too many customers and employees but it's fairly well streamlined.

I made an appointment to fix my cracked iphone screen. I walked in and it took 30 minutes before someone could assist me. The guy I talked to was very nice and informative. He said that if they were not going to be able to fix the screen, I could get a new phone for 270$ give or take. I said I didn't want a new phone since my phone was working fine ( I had been using it for months with no issues) and that I was confident the glass could be replaced. He said it might happen the screen would be a bit misplaced if they were not able to fix it to which i was ok with. Well, when I got it back, the screen was not a bit misplaced, it was completely taped up with scotch tape. The home button was not working and when I tried to untape it, the whole screen detached!!! I hadn't left the store yet so I went back asking what had happened and they had to nerve to say " you did not want it to be replaced for $300 and we warned you this could happen". Well no, you didn't tell me that I would be giving you, the apple store, a completely working phone only to leave with a non working taped phone!!!! I'm really upset and baffled and I will be filing a formal complaint! I had to buy a freaking new phone when mine was working just fine. I should have taken it to the chinese store at the end of the street for a better job! Oh and mind you, no apologies whatsoever, they actually gave me attitude! Stay away from this unprofessional store! So much for customer service. They even told me that they didn't charge me. What would you be charging me for, the scotch tape??

I didn't get service at the Apple store but I do admire the location, attention to detail, the trees and the big screen. One employee told us that sometimes singers and songwriters come to preform and the genius bar gets closed down. He mentioned you can look online and see the store's events on the website for some upcoming acts. Most are short notice.

Customer service is horrible here and typically it's amazing anywhere else. If you need to use your apple care, I highly recommend going to another Apple Store as they wont be very helpful here. They're overly by the book, unfriendly, and the lines are horrible. I think they have since changed over management so things may be getting better soon. The new location seems nicer.

Absolutely terrible. This location won't allow you to calling to the actual store just to ask a simple question and when you do arrive they are completely incompetent and unable to help. They claim they never heard of common issues with a certain model ,iPhone the 6+. I would never recommend this store to anyone stay far far far away.

Great store. Excellent attendants! They really know the products and specifications. But I went there to change my iPhone battery and they were too slow to allow me to do this. 20 days exactly. I was travelling and had few days to do this. Came back to my country without the change. :-(

I'll definitely not buy any Apple products. My iPad screen is partly irresponsive and I came for repair. The employees here are VERY RUDE!!! They rejected to warrant my iPad because of some tiny deformation on the enclosure. When I complained to the manager, he said "You can say anything you like". I can't believe he said that. Plus, after our talk, the manager didn't even shake hands with me but immediately went away. I real feel offended by the manager and will definitely will not buy any Apple products in the future.

I sent my computer in for repair and it was not broken but just needed a new batter. First, they broke the trackpad. Then, they wiped the entire computer. Basically, their service center took my computer which was not broken, and broke it.

Don't waste any of your time going to the "genius bar." Instead of geniuses, you'll be "helped" by pimple-faced snotty kids who don't know much about computers. I made an appointment online, and they called my name ten minutes late despite the fact that there were probably more "geniuses" than customers in the store that time. The "genius" helping me needed to ask a fellow "genius" for help at every step. At the end they told me what I already knew, that my computer's hard drive was fried. I guess the business plan is to represent Apple with vibrant young hipsters running around the store, a la the "I'm a P.C, I'm a Mac" commercials, but the Apple store is less about service and more a brand statement. If you have any issues with your product, go elsewhere.

Excellent knowledgeable staff. Even though the crush of customers can be a lot, I've never encountered less than a good experience. Product support is as good as it gets. Santa Monica has a number of multi-story garages very close by that offer two hours free parking, so parking isn't an issue.

I was told to leave! Currently a PC user so wanted to get deep into the Mac OS and determine it was correct for me. I asked a few, what I thought were simple questions about the capabilities of iPhoto for which the helper didn't know the answers. Can't blame him for not knowing everything, but I thought this was a little strange. I moved to a few different machines to get a feel for them. Then the security guard came up to me and said, times up, time to go. I looked around at the numerous machines with no one using them and looked back at him and said "are you serious?", he then told me there was a maximum of 20 mins per customer per day so I had to leave, I asked him if that meant I was banned from the store for the rest of the day he replied "Yes". I was so dismayed I just walked out not really knowing what just happened. Needless to say, I'm not so impressed with this store, or whatever manager decided this policy made sense.

You know they closed store for a little while to try to make it even better than before but it's a blinking awesome already. Amazingly enough it's even better just an awesome Apple Store and a beautiful place. don't go to any other Apple Store Git here
Incredible service is a ton of room to check stuff out it's just a bitchin store so make sure you come.

Good Salon Apple salon employees work with potential buyers to the last. They will demonstrate all the capabilities of the equipment, advise which equipment is better to purchase for what purposes. All colors and models are available, without waiting for an order. If you still are not lucky and there is no model, then they will place an order for the desired model and make home delivery.

Been on hold for 20 minutes and counting.... haven't spoken to a single person yet. Probably the same as simply going there to wait (at least I can drink a glass of wine while waiting here on the phone... makes it somewhat tolerable!).

It's 40 minutes later... I hung up, but feeling no pain :)

Visiting LA my laptop died. In desperation I took it to the store without an appointment. The place was mobbed not I was told I could see a genius in a half hour. It was almost an hour before I got the call but that was OK, I would have waited all day. A genius spend almost two hours with me running diagnostics which indicated indicated the drive had to be reformatted. Unhappy ending but can t help but appreciate the great service.

I ve made an appointment here for an XS screen replacement a week prior and I drove two hours one way to just find out that they had no replacement screens in stock. An entire Saturday wasted. What s the point of AppleCare Plus if it cannot fulfill it s promise? And why schedule me for a repair appointment based on a false promise? Not a great experience having just switched to Apple.

I ve always loved Apple customer service, but I had an unacceptable experience at this store.

I came in while on vacation several hours before my flight home because of a sudden issue with my phone. I explained my situation and asked if they could help me figure out the problem and potential costs within my timeframe.I ended up waiting for multiple appointments that had conflicting or unclear answers. The store kept my phone for three hours, which left me no opportunity to instead bring the phone to my carriers store for a replacement under my insurance plan. In the end I was told to buy a new phone, and when I declined a manager accusing me of trying to get a free phone from them. By then I was so late for my flight that I left with my broken phone and a print out of directions to the airport since I could no longer use my maps navigation feature. I ended up lost in LA at night, missing my flight, and stuck in New York for two days with minimal ways to contact my family. I had a medical issue during this time as well.

Yesterday a manager from the store contacted me to talk about the problem. I explained I was at work and he offered to reach out to me the next day at a set time. He never called back.

I don t know what this location s problem is with a customer service since I ve always had positive experiences at other Apple stores. But what s going on here is highly disappointing. Don t come her if you re having any urgent issues with your device.

It's an Apple Store, so it has everything you would expect, but it's always so crowded! Expect long waits, even with the crazy amount of employees. If you have a genius bar appointment, expect to wait at least 20 minutes after your scheduled time.

Called to make an appointment for simple repair, dealing with apple crew member Jay or so he said his names was, it was like being in bad C movie and the apple employee was a used car salesmen from the 1970 s, you should buy a brand new phone and not sink money into your old phone!

Depending on who may help you, your experience will vary. The young lady who helped me was not as knowledgeable as I would have liked so it was difficult to get my more complex questions answered. I was surprised because usually Apple hires very competent team members.

I went to have my battery replaced and the technician ran diagnostics and told me it was still in very good shape, and recommended to wait until later in the year since the replacement program runs into December...he showed me ways to keep it from draining so quickly. I have consistently found that the technicians at this store are capable and patient.
