Great store whenever I go to this store o fell like I am living in future, great customer service , love it
Xavier delivered an incredible service, quick, uber professional and really friendly. When I was unable to find the store took the time to guide me to exactly where I needed to come and of course fixed my phone. Wholeheartedly recommend.
Apple knows how to look after you. Fastest retail experience in a store period!
Once you make an appointment, things start to move fast, as far as repairs are concerned. Friendly staff. Located on 3rd st promenade. Plenty of shopping destinations here.
It is an Apple Store - a good Apple Store but that's it
I bought a MacBook Air two months ago along with a USB CD drive , I forgot to pick up the CD drive when I picked up the MacBook , two months later I called the store and informed them of the situation , Lucas the store manage checked the inventory records from the day of my pick up and confirmed the error and issued me my USB CD drive. Amazing customer service.
Five stars because the people here are very friendly Apple has doubled the size of their store with this one you can make appointments get in and out and pay a lot more than things are worth here any time they're open
I have never felt more uncomfortable with everything happening in the world then I did when here.
This is a cool Apple store. So much glass! Even with the amount of people, it was easy to find an employee ready to help. Awesome!
Fine but I wish there was some carpet to make it cozier. It's very loud and feels like an airport hanger. Good service.
Excellent attention. The best. In the state that this.
Long lines and deference is given to those who drink the kool-aid
Oh god, self obsessed patrons and even more self obsessed sales people, the tech guy acts geeky but he is not. What a joke, Apple runs such a fancy store and rubs off the costs to the iCustomer. Rip off.
I went to your with a friend who is in need of help with her phone. She had tried going online and talking with folks on the phone but all she needed to have Hands-On help at this location. The way it was long but it was uncomfortable interacting with different employees who confuse the matters further and further about who needed to be and could be of help to her given her situation. It was an experience of confusion, this information, lengthier wait times than normal and I ended up having to actually leave her there after an hour so that they could try to figure out how to support her Apple product properly. It was very unimpressive and I'm sorry to see that the three employees whom I witnessed dealing with her could not provide more immediate and focused interaction to address the issue.
Hans, Mya & the and the entire team that surrounded them at the help desk did a terrible job. They haphazardly transferred me from team member to team member though everyone who picked up my case could ve handled the task at hand. They left me alone, and I had to frequently leave my materials (two phones) alone to track down someone to help & ask if they could help with next steps. I got mixed messages around iPhone best practices from every single person. & ultimately, it took me 2 hours to check my phones in for a data transfer that never got completed because the process never fully queued up, and the laptop assigned to the project was low on energy and left to die. I was given the time of 3PM to return. I returned at 5PM and nothing was done. Most team members seemed befuddled, confused and unfamiliar with how to handle the process and did a terrible job ushering me thru easily the most frustrating customer and user experience I ve had all decade. I never want to return to this Apple store or interface with any of the team members there. I felt zero incentive or passion for anyone to commit to helping me.
Horrible costumer service ! They make you feel like your bothering them at all times
Too busy. Apple urgently needs to build another store nearby (Playa Vista?).
Came in for a Genius Bar appt. Long line to Check-in. Long wait for help.
Ultimately turned away despite appointment as they were too busy that night to fix thiigs. Frustrating.
Very well staffed with immediate help and attention.
Didn't have a cover for a year old product. Difficult to get help.
horrible product, used ONE Asus laptop for FIVE years while a Mac book pro can't last ONE year. they hook on students by giving discounts and then earn the repair fee which is atrociously overpriced
It has it all but I hate being in the store. (The previous store was great.)
The ambient sound hurts my ears. It is a lonely box. (I imagine Steve Jobs would not have signed off on it.)
They help fix any problem with your Apple device and there is terrific service
So I came in because I have a problem with my iPad. There was a lot of people but they heard my problem(hacked and locked out of my iPad) so they were able to take time out of their busy schedule to help me out in a timely fashion! Also it's a large and aesthetically pleasing Apple Store
I literally was coming in just to get earbuds, couldn t find them, was about to leave, and then this guy helped me out and was super nice and helpful. I mentioned how I was from out of town and he suggested awesome places to check out. The thing is I m so mad that I didn t ask for his name!! He had an black hoop earring in and had a nice smile. Help me help you!
BEST customer service, funnest place to go to next along with the TESLA showroom
Horrible Experience. Told I was going to have help in 30 minutes but took an hour!
I entered the store and thought if this is a railway station instead or an internet cafe. But came out you can also buy Apple stuff there. :)
We just want to grab an iPad and go. However, the Apple Genius forced us to register first and wait for 45 minutes. If you are looking for a clean grab and go experience, don't go there.
Apple store in Santa Monica was wonderful look at my new Macbook Air working properly thank you
Good shop and service my daughter bought a mobile phone
A mega apple store, conveniently located on the Promenade, but often chaotically packed with pedestrians and short-staffed in terms of addressing customer needs.
A very cool place located in Santa Monica .
The customer service is good as always , the staff is very friendly .
But sometimes crowded.
If I make an appointment in advance to have my iphone 6 battery repaired, and I arrive and they are out stock! Such a waste of an hour of my time during the work day. UNACCEPTABLE. This is now the 2nd time I have gone here to get my battery serviced and left with NOTHING.
It's a big Apple store, just like the other million Apple stores.
The automated telephone system is horrible. After many calls into the store to follow up on a purchased product - I NEVER was connected to a live person and the connection drops the call each and EVERY time. All experiences at other apple stores have been 5 Stars - NOT THIS STORE!
Have a 6:15pm appointment today. Showed up at 6:05pm, it's 6:40pm and I'm still waiting. The guy who checked me in said - it's like your doc office, you have to wait. FYI- my doc sees me within 10 min of my appt.
PS. 6:50pm still waiting for my 6:15 appt.
7pm still waiting
DO NOT BUY APPLE PRODUCTS $$$$$$$
Last Dec 20, 2018, I bought an iPhone XR for $825 dollars cash I refuse to pay $150 for apple care "my big mistake" last Feb 28, 2019 I accidentally dropped and break the back glass in multiple pieces< I schedule an appointment for repair at this apple store but the "Genius Bar" they told me this damage is unfixable, instead they offer me to give them this back glass broken phone plus $399.00 to get a Replace or buy a full price phone > the only two solutions
as an Apple Customer, I feel undervalued because there is not a repair solution for an expensive phone other than paying $399 dollars plus tax for a replace or buy a new phone full price After this NO MORE APPLE PRODUCTS FOR ME
It is quite a beautiful place, with astonishing customer service. Very expensive though, and the new iPhone looks the same as it's predecessor, in my opinion
My how this place has changed! My wife and I have purchased many computers and her phone's here with great experiences from everyone involved. Now, this place is a complete joke. Nothing but attitude and grief from not only the associates but the manager as well. We just had our iMac Pro dump it's video board. They had no idea how to fix it and told us to go back to the store we purchased it from. After explaining to them it was a beta unit direct from Apple and we ended up purchasing it after beta testing. They told us that was impossible and that Apple doesn't do such a program period after my wife showed them the online receipt and beta test correspondence between her and apple they still didn't believe us. They even went so far as suggesting the unit was stolen! What a bunch of idiots.
Beware: Had my iPhone X screen replaced. I always put my iPhone in a case so it s well protected. And there was not even a scratch on the metal rim of the phone. But when I picked it up after they replaced the defected screen, i saw so many scratches (some are deep scratches) on the rim which shows the rough work they did
Appalling... They lost my computer twice and the wait to talk to someone is always ridiculously long.
Typical Apple store, very pretty and big, long wait times, mostly need reservations to see anyone so don't just drop in. Largest location I've ever been to. But just like all Apple stores, you look around and see lots of stuff, until you realize it just the same iPhone but in 30 colors, the same iWatch but in 60 colors, and the same iPad in 30 colors. And you're like... Wait what?
Typical Apple experience(I don't mean this in a negative way). Clean, bright and busy. I went to this location to purchase a new iPhone for my girlfriend. I recently had her number ported over to T-mobile. As such, I brought the newly enabled sim card. The representative I worked with ignored the sim card I brought(I did point it out, etc) and instead went ahead and activated the sim card that is already in the boxed iPhone. His supervisor was there and did scold him about him knowing better etc.
In doing this, I had to cancel my iPhone purchase, go back to T-mobile and wait another 3 days while T-Mobile attempted to retrieve the new 'let go' ported phone number. Apple said "sorry, this is our fault but T-Mobile will fix it". While T-Mobile went above expectations for me, Apple surely dismissed this. Because of this, a temporary number had to be assigned to the phone/line brought over until the ported number was brought back/found. I lost the $150 sign on bonus with T-mobile because of one Apple tech's inexperience.
While I don't seek compensation(I should), neither the Apple tech nor supervisor offered an apology, compensation or a way to fix the problem except to put it on T-Mobile.
So - my experience was pretty poor, but as I said at the start of the post besides this it's your typical Apple experience. Best of luck to other shoppers!
This is a great store with employees that help you find what you need and care about what you re trying to do with your Tech.
I also attended a fantastic seminar on iPhoto and another one on programming. It was very interesting!
had an appointment at the genius bar, showed up 45min earlier.
Talked to the manager, she told me i should wait, they are going to be able to help me sooner.... 6pm and now they say "pretty soon..."
Just like any apple store. It s cool and great customer service. Third street promenade is a really cool place to check out they have a Cheesecake Factory there and plenty of stores to check out for clothing. The vibe is really cool!
Definitely worth a look if you re down at Santa Monica Pier... it s only a short walk to the Promenade.
They have classes to teach older people the new apple configurations and options of ios
LA is a bit of a hassle for travelers as there is no Apple Store in downtown. Is this the most convenient place to go by train? The sales tax seems to be the highest.
Walked in and got no help at all so I helped myself grabbed a few items off the wall and walked them over to check out to have some questions answered about them . Bill was there and immediately gave me attitude for carrying different items over. Don t understand why companies hire these people.
Terrible experience. Took my wife's iPhone in for a battery replacement because it would lose charge quickly, after two hours they said they couldn't fix it and didn't work at all anymore. Not even put back together properly. No remorse, no discount...just strong armed into buying a new phone after they broke it. Have had similar issues at this store, taking my business elsewhere.
I've been in good Apple stores around the world and yes, this is a good one. Is awesome like this app stores matches the Santa Monica style. Is beautiful, vibrantly quiet, and located in (as always) the best possible spot.
Inside is big with high ceilings and lightning.
Beautiful Apple store... I had to take a device there to get serviced.. They are attentive to peaple.
Big, beautiful but terrible service. A lot of cocky sellers, which are not nice and not respectful to clients. They make you wait for too long.
Bill Weber is apparently a manager and loves helping people. Unbelievably trash service
Waited for 45 mins and gave me a broken new phone came back another day and waited another 45 mins
Store is beautiful! Too bad the service is a bost ... hard to pay california rates 10% better buy in miami
Awful service, I am getting the new iPhone every time and now that I have a problem with my iPhone I went to the Apple store and THEY COULD NOT HELP ME!! This is the LAST IPHONE I buy !!!
Always busy, terrible customer service, avoid at all costs.
Huge Apple Store with a ton of glass windows cool place to check out the latest gear.
Manny from the Genius Bar was professional, courteous and knowledgeable. I had to get the hard drive from an 8 year old iMac restored onto a new 27" iMac. He was confident about getting the job done expeditiously --- this is true "Apple Customer Care"!
If i could give this store zero stars I would. Since I have to give it one I will give it directly to Javier (he wasn't even really helping me he was just the one who did the most to try) the manager, Jeremy, is the literal WORST. Jeremy you are not in Wisconsin anymore. Since they deal with tourists all day they have little to no experience of what customer service means. If you live and work in Santa Monica area and require real customer service, take the extra 20 minutes and go to the Apple store in West LA. The people there at least know where they are.
They work slow, make customers wait for too long and don't solve the problems!
I really love the 3rd Street Promenade as it was one of the few transit accessible pedestrian friendly malls in the 90s when I was a kid, I had lots of great experiences there. It is still super cool but there are more and more empties. It would be great to see a bit of a resurgence. I think the adjacent mall, which by the way is very cool, is sapping away some of the purchasing power.
I hate Apple products but the staff here was very friendly and helpful.
Great place. One of the biggest Apple Stores I have been too. The support could have been a little better though.
