Great rooms, close to home. Worked out well for our family especially our 6 and 8 year old children. For my wife, teenage daughter, and I it was also very nice. We will come back.

Nice suite rooms. Comfortably fit my family of 5 with 2 queens and a pull out sofa. Clean spacious room with a great view.
Dinner in the Grille was amazing as always. The next day we attended the thanksgiving buffet. The salmon was great I wish it was on their grille menu.
Breakfast with Santa is also a big hit with my family.

I took my children here to Bear Creek 6 or 7 times in 2010. After I completely failed to help our children ski after the first time or so, I enrolled them in the Kodiak Kids program, which they did about 5 or 6 times. I think I have taken them at least once each year since.

Every instructor has been fabulous, every time. They reach out to our children, and engage them positively and helped them to progress to the best level they could. They have a day care, a pleasant room with many activities, but they did depend on movies a bit to entertain the kids, which our kids didn't prefer.

My daughter, in particular, was five, and was very nervous and unsure about it. I gave her private lessons with Susan, who was amazing with her--the right balance of encouragement and firmness. They also are clear in the instruction, so the children understand what is expected.

They currently only accept 5yo children and older for the program.

We went during the week, so taking the Kodiak program has always been almost like having private lessons. The instructors always challenged my son, and would move him and a few others into a more advanced group so they could enjoy the slopes and challenge their skiing.

Most importantly, they learned to ski safely. None of them take unnecessary risks, but ski considerately on the slopes.

We rented our equipment from Buckmans for the season. Unfortunately, you don't get a discount for that when you sign up for the package.

Bear Creek black diamonds do not equal other black diamonds. After skiing black diamonds at Bear Creek, one of our children was completely flummoxed when we took him/her to Crystal Mountain in Washington State.

We have tried various different ski schools and none of them have equaled Bear Creek. Another perk is that the lodge is also a hotel so it is more comfortable than the typical bare bones ski lodge.

My kids and I stayed here one night 2 weeks ago as a quick little get away before school started. The grounds were really nice, check in was fast as we were the only ones in line, and our room was ready promptly. My kids wanted to go to the indoor pool first. It was nice, but there was way too much chlorine in the hot tub adjacent to the pool it actually burned our noses and eyes. The outdoor pool and hot tub were fine, and that is where we spent the rest of the night and next morning. The room was clean, and the beds were fairly comfortable. The only complaint I had was from 12:00am until well after 1am there was stomping, running, and banging going on in the room ABOVE us! We could not sleep at all. It was an unpleasant experience to say the least, and I did let them know at the front desk upon checkout with no real apology (just a promise to let a manager know...). Anyway, the resort is beautiful, and we do not live far so it is an easy 20 minute drive, but I am not sure I would stay overnight again based on the nightly experience.

I've be skiing here almost 10 years off and on. It's a hour away and a great small mountain for a seasoned skier or new skier. There are different types of trails to mix it up on for all skill levels. I only do night skiing here since the all day ticket is the same price as a larger mountian in the Poconos that is twice the size. The downside to this place is the lifts are very very slow and they have no foot rests for the ride up on any of their lifts. This is the only place that has no support built into the drop down ski lift bars, so your legs get sore much faster since they are left hanging ever ride up. Come on bear creek! Weld some foot rests onto your lifts already. Other than these flaws, it's worth it for the short drive.

The prices at the hotel cafe is crazy

The prices at the hotel cafe is crazy
Servers at the cafe need more training
For example
1. No to serve food with plastic fork and knife
2.tbread oasts should come with jam or peanut butter as option
3. Pancake should come with syrup
Beside that it's nice seating area and clean
Room service
Start with 4 Towel and the rest of the days only 2 Towles
didn't clean the bathroom floor
Didn't deal the noise issue properly
Over all great experience

Fantastic snowboard instructor-Drew!! My 13 year old son is starting snowboarding this year and was getting very frustrated (after 4 days on the mountain with his brothers for teachers). He was just about ready to quit because he couldn't figure out how to turn heel side. He took a private lesson with Drew and is now loving snowboarding!! By the end of the day, he was turning heel side multiple times in each run and steering confidently. A HUGE thank you to Drew for helping him and teaching him in a way that made sense to him (he's a baseball player and Drew related his movements and stance to batting).

I stayed as an overnight guest for a spa weekend with my family. The spa is so relaxing and has an amazing atmosphere and the emoloyees are so nice. The hot tub is beautiful and I had time to enjoy it by myself and it was so relaxing with a fireplace and a mountain view! The pool is huge and heated as is the floor; I was in a bikini out swimming in november and I wasn't cold!! I got a manicure there and their colors are nice and they use all local products which I love! Lastly, the grill food is AMAZING!!! I highly suggest the wild shrimp pasta dish!!!

Normally I don t mind the place being over priced but when staff is cut so short it takes close to 4 hours to check in and get rentals, you know it s gone too far. My whole neighborhood used to come here 4-6 times per year, no longer.......

Bear Creek is an awesome place to go if you like the terrain park. Other than that, the trails are pretty short. They are not long like Blue Moutain or Camelback. I would highly recommend snowboard or ski lessons from this place as well to.

This is the worst mountain I've been to in PA. Jumps are terribly shaped, transitions on them are built to injure. What a nice resort, followed by a terrible mountain. Travel the extra hour and ride Jack frost big boulder. They at least know how to manage there mountain. Not only terrain parks but the whole mtn isn't worth the cheap cost to ride. BIG DISSAPOINTMENT

Amazing winter family getaway. Kids really lived the heated outdoor pool, indoor pool, and all 3 hot tubs. Slopes are well maintained and offer all levels of challenge. Staff is helpful and courteous and the rooms are well kept and well designed. Food at the Grille was on point. My only complaint would be a lack of turkey/chicken breakfast meat and I wasn t a fan of the plain pizza at the Trails End Cafe (too cheesy not enough sauce).

Horrible ! My daughter and I came to ski Friday afternoon. They had snow guns going , all off them, on every run. It was 25 degrees outside, but we were prepared and dressed warm, but this ice cold steam of water basically hitting us all way down down the slope. Face feels like needles being stuck in you, goggles ice up combination of water and freezing temps. I get the need to make snow, but can't it be done over night and not every single run ? Focus on few runs, then others. And can't it go higher in the air ? I been skiing 20 years all over east coast, never had this problem. What did I pay money for ? Also, I reached out to snow making manager and he never bothered to call me back

What a great local ski mountain. Yes, it's small, but the amenities rival all other Pocono resorts. Once you ski here, the rest are just a little bigger, with a cafeteria.
Bear Creek is A+ all the way.

Bear Creek Mountain Resort has wonderful accommodations, staff was nice I think everyone of them said hello each time I walked by. The rooms was clean and tidy. Available restaurants on site were delicious and super convenient.

Level set expectations. If there is a wedding happening that is going to reserve everything just give a heads up. Kids (5-6 yr olds) running through the hallways until 11 pm, restaurants closed down, slope "view" marginal at best. Overall disappointing and will never consider again. Unfortunate considering the price of the room.

Our DJ and Photography business has worked at over 400 events at Bear Creek and always look forward to more. The reception venues are excellent, the staff is as friendly and helpful as can be and the management is impeccable. If you are working with either Therese or Lisa for your wedding or any of the other sales team, you are working with some of the best in the business. We consistently ask all of our couples and customers how their experience has been and it is always a resounding positive when events are at Bear Creek. We highly recommended this venue, regardless of the season or type of event. If we could give them 6 stars we would.

Stayed at this Mountain Resort for 3 night. Room was big and clean. However, I ordered food and a alcohol beverage from The Grille (restaurant located within the resort) aside from the food being over priced. It was extremely off-putting to say the least. I had ordered Barbecued Baby Back Ribs with Garlic french fries hoping it would taste good. The BBQ Ribs were cold and tasted like rubber the fries were super soggy and cold and to make matters worse the Blueberry Mojito (popular drink as the manager told me) tasted like syrup and flat soda. I did complain and the manager was nice enough to provide me with a refund. Still I feel this is something worth mentioning. Although, the resort overall is nice and peaceful i would recommend you eating out.

Of note, out door pool was amazing.

Great resort, very friendly staff, great selection of beginner, intermediate, and expert trails, very nice lodging area, the lifts tend to be a little long (time wise), but overall very great resort, would come back whenever had the chance, and would recommend to family and friends, if you get the chance, I think you will be impressed with the overall resort:-) B-) :-) B-)
