This company is currently refusing to provide any refunds to customers whose travel is being disrupted by COVID-19. I booked a stay for June back in February and due to flights being cancelled and the implementation of a mask policy with the airlines, we have decided to cancel our trip. Kitty Hawk Rentals refuses to update their cancellation policy due to COVID-19, or work with me in any way, and instead is insisting on the original cancellation policy despite there being a global pandemic.
I have left a message for a Manager, Carrie, and she did not call me back. She instead let the receptionist be the bearer of bad news (who I felt bad for). A receptionist shouldn't be having these conversations with customers. I received an email reiterating the original cancellation policy without any contact information. THIS BUSINESS DOES NOT WANT TO HAVE THIS DISCUSSION. How businesses treat people during this time is indicative of their character. Kitty Hawk Rentals is maintaining a ridiculous cancellation policy during a global pandemic. If you decide to rent one of their properties, do not expect them to make any exceptions regardless of the circumstances.
