It was great to see live performance out side BBC London.
Classic building, good for star spotting. Book tickets in advance for the radio comedies that are recorded here.
Were here for a Radio 4 recording as audience. As usual a very good production and excellently managed
Beautiful building, with nice offices inside. Get a friend working there to show you around!
To BBC senior editors,
We are the big community of BBC audience in Afghanistan. Since many years, we have inherited listening to the BBC from our father s generation. Not to be unsaid that today we have so many reliable national and international media outlets that broadcast in our national languages, where we can get our daily feeds from. BBC is one of these reliable outlets. The BBC Afghan editors recent decision to change the name of its official Facebook page to (BBC Dari) is an absolute insult to BBC s Persian-Dari speakers and an approach seen as stirring up ethnic and language divisions in the country. FYI: there is no language as Dari and it is only a Persian dialect. As we do understand the BBC s strict policies don t allow the company to get involved in a country s ethnic dispute, we respectfully ask the channel to refrain from this at a situation of fragility and adversity in Afghanistan. We as responsible audience respectfully ask the senior managers to urgently stop such a provocative approach and respect your millions of audience who speak this language in Afghanistan. Whilst we will wait for the BBC s urgent action, some of the audience have already started unliking your page as a sign of protest. More actions will follow. Please don t let the BBC be seen as attempting to escalate ethnic and language disputes in the country.
Regards
A Persian speaking audience from Afghanistan

What an iconic venue - We worked on the Drone event supplying tab track and drapes- Joy to work in
Brilliant setup. Open office, lots of light, well planned. What a newsroom should be
Great architecture, lovely design and well planned. It was a pity I couldn't take pics of the newsroom but I really enjoyed the place. Loads of great photo opportunities available. If you get a job at the BBC, you are lucky as one of their cafes is open 24 hours.
I still miss GLR (Greater London Radio) back in the late 80's to mid 90's.
A fantastic radio station.
The best at present is Robert Elms, well worth a listen.
For security concerns, not open to public for the time being.
Well organised taping of Radio 4's News Quiz programme! Staff were helpful in ensuring everything went smoothly.
Fantastic place to view the BBC News room from the Cafe.
The cafe is opened to the public, and allows you to buy BBC gifts such as Lanyards, Pens and Mugs
We loved our visit to bbc and watched the one show live. It was a very nice experience.
I went there for a tour, and it was brilliant! I would recommend it to anyone!
Difficult to rate this as opinion is mainly based on show.... Which was amazing (Lemn Sissay).. getting in was a bit of a muggers buggle. Security guys were really pleasant. Bit then you hand round in a pen, with a poor canteen. Theatre sheets were comfortable and roomy by London theatre standards.
From their website, "We re sorry but the tour of BBC Broadcasting House in London is no longer operating."
What a pity!
Many events broadcasted - check out the official website to get free tickets for the shows.
BBC and NHS the only good things the Tories haven't sold off and milked yet.
Go to see radio recordings there from time to time. Hard not to get caught up in the atmosphere. Well worth a visit.
Iconic building and feel privileged to have done live radio interviews from here and attended a meeting or two. We all seem to love to bash it, but really and truly the BBC is a world-beating newsbrand, trusted and respected. Carry on, Aunty!
Home of the BBC. Always worth a visit and if you can get tickets for a show then go for it.
Steeped in History and Mystery
Caversham Park is the headquarters of BBC Monitoring, the
UK s leading monitor of the international media. Its aim is to
keep Britain and international audiences informed about the
use made of the media around the world, so as to help interpret
world events. The site is also occupied by BBC Radio Berkshire
and the BBC s Written Archives Centre.
Caversham Park has been part of the Thames Valley
landscape for over 800 years. There has been a grand house in the
park for over 400 years. The BBC has been connected with the
site for almost 70 years.
Through its history, Caversham Park has passed through
numerous hands. Its occupants have had local, national and
international associations.
From medieval barons, through Tudor and Stuart courtiers, to
wealthy soldiers, entrepreneurs and industrialists, the owners
have reflected and influenced the course of English history.
The park has often been associated with people of strong
beliefs, ready to stand up for them.
You can apply for free tickets to see shows recorded at the beautiful art deco Radio Theatre. Alas, no more public tours, due to increased security.
Saw a radio show being recorded. Free tickets from bbc so a good night out
BBC Broadcasting House has daily free radio shows - this is a great place to visit, wspecially if you are a fan of the tv show W1A'
Attended the Paloma Faith concert for Radio 2. A lot of waiting was involved but the organisation was spot on and the staff were friendly and professional. The Media Room was basic, but had a good atmosphere as it was filled with happy wine-drinking concert goers! The concert itself was fantastic and the whole event well organised from start to finish. If you are lucky enough to get tickets for a BBC concert, be prepared for a lot of waiting around, but you will not be disappointed.
It's the BBC.... What's not to like!!!
If you are attending for the Radio Theatre there is a good cafe inside, once you get in, and toilets plus a small BBC kiosk. Good view of the newsroom and where the weather forecast is recorded, while you are waiting, as inevitably you will have to.
Large screens show current programming. Staff are good & helpful.
Was able to get a tour inside, lovely staff and security all.very friendly.
Do you want to know how to do today in media visit BBC
Never show a decent news... its always something bad and scary on here or it's never the truth. You manipulate viewers with the worst stories ever and coincidentally most viewers believe it too. Since when have BBC ever broadcasted something worth listening to... i simply can't remember when was!
Awesome if you didnt give my jobs to Kill My American real in Eglishlass to Jill Marie Poppy Cantorie Poppy Maginly blonde Goldie locks now Barbie doll and Anna Malloy covicted drug addict and convicts. From the real American Gail Anne Haley
Simply a famous place, other than that just a building.
Media Cafe was reasonably priced, security guys were friendly and getting to overlook the weather / Outside Source screen was fun too
Not very well organised. Seats very uncomfortable and very little leg room
Attending the radio theatre, great staff. Alexei Sayle very good, not a bad journey into London.
Call in for a coffee or lunch and watch the BBC news being filmed and you may be lucky to see a famous person..
One of the best news sources around. Many thanks to everybody at the BBC! Always Source your news from many places to be well informed Avoid fake news like Fox
Very good although insufficient seats for 200+ crowds
Tardis in the lobby, Darlek in the corridor, what is not to love about this place!
Awesome place. A city in itself. But then it s just around Regent street.
Been to many recordings in the Radio Theatre. Nearly always brilliant. Content deserves 5 stars. However, admin staff are usually surly, the security scans are slow and aggressive, the cafe queue is often long (once waited 45 minutes for a glass of wine!) and the theatre view is awful if in the back row downstairs or in the front row of the balcony.
This where the whole BBC news operation happens - the news floor is an amazing sight with people everywhere researching and preparing for the next news broadcasts.
Well worth a visit. You can see the busy newsroom from the cafeteria. Wow!
Good Cafe overlooking the BBC newsroom. Fascinating.
Broadcasting House is a busy place, and I understand the need for security checks but a hour and a half standing queuing is a bit much.
Beautiful place - great to see where all the shows are filmed. Fab venue to go and watch a recording take place - we saw the Now Show which is excellent.
I visited to do the Victoria Derbyshire show. Busy BBC hub.
Wonderful experience to be an audience member at the taping of a radio or tv programme.
The BBC centre is great the show was ok filmed in front of an audience
Great building. Shame about the biased news coverage.
Real world look at broadcasting. We did see the live telecast of BBC world news, from the cafe upstairs. We were lucky enough to see a weather broadcast happening close to where we were standing. We did see Newsman George Alagaiah. There is a cafe and a gift shop here. Close to Oxford street.
Modern new building, great facilities, plenty of helpful staff.
Really great to see where all the work is being done
Nice art deco theatre. Well organised apart from capacity for Seaton pre show and the lack of WiFi.
Iconic building that hosts BBC main studios. There's a tour that takes you inside the building. You can visit some of the studios. The tickets are sold on line. The trip is very worth it.
