BBC Audience team are polite and courteous. The few times I have been here have been enjoyable. The radio theatre has plenty of seating with unimpeded viewing. The cafe / waiting area has a small shop with BBC nicnacs

Absolutely chic building. Been here twice and my favourite bit is the entrance where all the cities are etched in the ground. Finding a city you love is a fun little "game" everyone ends up doing as they walk up to the impressive building.

It is the headquarters of the BBC in London from which they broadcast news, information and entertainment programs, radio programs. It is not possible to visit it from the inside, but it is possible to enter the internal bar and have a coffee directly overlooking the famous BBC News red newsroom, where you will see journalists at work preparing newscasts.

reviewed as part of a tour in July 2015. You enter by the side door and wait to be picked up in a cafe and shop area overlooking the newsroom. The tour lasts 90 minutes and learned a fair few things I didn't know. There's also an interactive element with green screen presenting and radio play. Your experience may depend on the size of group you go with - i was lucky that there were only 3 of us, a bigger group might feel less personal.

A very interesting experience if you get to visit. I went to the BBC radio 4 recording of Wordsholics (free - look on the BBC be in the audience website!) and found the experience very enjoyable and fun!

I regularly come to the BBC to see recordings of the Friday Night Comedies. A lot of waiting around, but we'll worth it.

The Media Cafe is in a similar price change to surrounding premises. The staff are polite anf friendly.

The staff at the BBC itself have always been pleasant and eager to help with any issues.

I wouldn't know what this place is like!! My friend who got the (free) tickets to be in the 'laugh recorder audience' (we were to watch a pre-recorded programme and they would record our laughter to dub in later!) forgot to tell me they'd asked for us to take photo ID. I had therefore not taken any with me.
After queueing for some considerable time, they wouldn't let me in despite my having a photo is my passport page on my phone and us having the print-at-home tickets they'd sent us.

Moral of the story? If you're visiting the BBC for ANY reason, make sure you have photo ID on you!!!

We attended a taping of a Radio 4 program featuring the Festival of the Spoken Nerd. The evening was well organised and a lot of fun. I've attended a few recordings over the years, and the BBC has improved how they do things. I shall definitely apply for tickets more often.
