We stayed in your Saltwater Suite :) The private pool was amazing, and definitely the star of the show and the reason we chose that room! We spent hours in it and lounging by the pool and completely relaxed. There were only two small considerations about the room that could help. 1, maybe provide a few water bottles in the fridge. We got out of the pool and were soooooo thirsty and had no water to drink! Secondly, the fridge in the room was pretty noisy. My husband had to wedge a washcloth between it and the cabinet to keep it from buzzing/rattling. If that had not worked, it would have been difficult to sleep for sure. Overall though, we are already considering our next return to the Saltwater Suite!
Housekeeping was excellent, very flexible and accommodating. The cottage was beautiful, the food at the B&B was amazing... Everything was perfect.
Unbelievable staff! thought it was family owned because everyone went out of their way to make you feel welcomed. Beautiful property. Walking distance to town!
**I have also posted this review on Yelp**
My GF and I decided to go to St Augustine for a vacation. We were looking at bed and breakfasts, which I did not really want (I have never stayed at one and didn't really get what the point was) but since she asked I decided we would look into going to one. We looked at a few and decided on the Bayfront Marin House. They are located on the waterfront just a few blocks away from St George Street and are a train tour ride away from a bunch of fun things to do in the area.
We arrived on Wednesday afternoon and checked in. Susie (Suzy?) was super friendly and even said they had been waiting for us as she had made some gluten free brownies for me. BONUS! :D I wish I had seen her again before we checked out to tell her how delicious they were. If a staff member reads this review, please tell her!
We were escorted upstairs to our room, the Forrester (make sure you can drag luggage up the stairs because there are a fair amount of them to climb. The staff did offer to help but I would never subject anyone to lugging all of my GF's luggage up the stairs lol). We walked in the room and were very pleased with our selection. The patio view was awesome. The room was very nicely done, although it does need a few touch ups (a small crack in the wall by the right side of the bed, a crack in the base board in the bathroom, the outer wooden panel part of the tub was missing a few pieces that cover up where screws go). There also may have been an issue with the a/c as there is both a unit in the window and a thermostat on the wall, but the room did cool down at night. Overall it was a fantastic room. Very clean and just the right size. The bed was comfortable and you could smell the freshness in the linens. I slept just fine and am not sure why one Yelp reviewer said there was a noisy street because I am a light sleeper and did not notice any noise. After we unpacked, we filled out our breakfast cards, brought them back down stairs and noticed it was happy hour. Very nice selection to choose from, but we decided to forgo it and head out to explore and eat dinner. Susie (Suzy?) did apologize to me because she didn't think there were any gluten free options at that particular happy hour. I didn't mind at all, just the simple fact that she remembered I am gluten free was awesome enough for me. You certainly wouldn't get that kind of attention at a big chain hotel.
Overall, I loved staying here. The innkeeper (God help me I forgot her name!!) was always present during breakfast and the cook made sure she made her way around to see how her breakfast was. The staff was always smiling and approachable, which makes all of the difference in the world if you ask me. My GF and I have decided that if/when we go back to St Augustine, we will most definitely be staying here again. I also plan on asking my siblings if they want to possibly get our parents a gift card to go here for their anniversary present. If you are looking for a great B&B, do not look any further, the Bayfront Marin House is your place to go.
Love the Bayfront Marin House B&B! The food was amazing, we have never had such great French Toast. All the food is home made, fresh and very good. We stayed in the King George room and it was amazing with the romance package. The team at the Marin went all out for romance. The room was very clean and attention to detail was great. The staff was so friendly and very accommodating. Can't wait to return again.
This was our second time staying at Bayfront Marin House. Our room was clean and the property very nice. Loved sitting outside with a view of the bay while we ate our breakfast which was delicious! They couldn't do enough for us to make our stay comfortable. The location is great for walking downtown. A great getaway for a few days and very dog friendly!
Staff were super nice and very helpful. Breakfast was delicious everyday. And the house is beautiful
Stayed in beach cottage (away from inn). Room was fantastic. Great view, private, very clean and super convenient to downtown. Staff at inn made us feel very welcome and were very accommodating. Downtown parking spot was a huge plus, especially on busy weekend.
Great location, awesome service and adorable rooms. Happy hour was a very welcome surprise. Didn't have a chance to use the bikes, but with an extra day we would have definitely taken a ride. Will stay again!
My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon this week, and it was the best experience we ve ever had. The staff was incredibly accommodating of any request, and the service was just incredible. The kitchen staff made some of the most delicious food, and were happy to share the recipes with us. We will never stay anywhere but The Bayfront Marin House when visiting St. Augustine.
We had an amazing experience at the Bayfront Marin House. We arrived late and were greeted by friendly staff and a glass of homemade sangria! Each morning we had a delicious homemade hot breakfast overlooking the waterway. Each evening we enjoyed the homemade sangria and happy hour treats. The accommodations were gorgeous. The rooms are updated beautifully. It is located right in the historic district in walking distance to all that downtown St. Augustine has to offer. Parking included! The staff couldn't have been friendlier....to us and our puppies. Yes, we traveled with two puppies and they were welcomed and loved by the whole staff. Thank you for your attention to details. If we are ever in St. Augustine again, you will be our first choice.
Our stay at BFH was fantastic. The room was cool , quiet, and comfortable. The view of the sunrise on the bay on the upstairs deck was exceptional. Nice, made to order breakfast at your own convenient time is a nice touch also. Very easy walk to all the attractions in old town.
The food was great! Beds, pillows and linens were amazing! Rooms were adorable. Our room # 10 was above the kitchen. Not always enjoyable to be greeted with food smells in the middle of the night. Our tub was great. My husband loved the shower however he couldn't get the water hot. The tub had great temperature. Claudia and Mary had wonderful restaurant suggestions. I loved the experience.
Room was great. Staff was great. Location was great. Thank you!
beautiful, nice, clean facilities. helpful and friendly staff!
Spent our family Christmas in beautiful St. Augustine this year. In lieu of all the presents on Christmas morning, we've been traveling the last few years. This year it was St. Augustine. Stayed on Vilano Beach at the Lagoon Cottage. It's a great home with everything and more you could want or need. You can walk to a Publix grocery store from the cottage. There are several restaurants. Puccini's next to the Publix is a great little italian restaurant. Lagoon Cottage is few minutes from the actual Inn downtown, so it's really the best of both worlds! Pet friendly and we enjoyed meeting the house cat at the Inn. Mary and her staff provide an excellent breakfast. They will even delivery a few items to the cottages, although we didn't try this option. Mary will make sure any diet is provided for, as one in our party is vegan. And if you eat later in the morning, Mary will have time to come out and visit. (Found out she is from our neck of the woods.) We didn't make it back for any of the happy hours. While dropping off our breakfast order one evening, it did seem they had a wonderful spread for the evening eats and drinks. Couldn't have picked a better place for our first visit to the Old City. The parking they provide is a huge help and within walking distance to everything. I would usually drop my party off and then park and meet up. I got a Inn staff tip for a secret parking spot in the heart of it all, you can use after 5pm at no charge. Only was able to grab a spot one time, as the word is out on that. Overall, thrilled with our stay and choice of Inn's/Cottages, the breakfast, the city and all to see, do and EAT! Only thing missing was that warm Florida sunshine. I would also recommend trying anyone of the eateries across the Bridge of Lions. Gas and Gypsy Cab Co. were delicious.
My husband and I stayed at the Bayfront Marin House while on a business trip. The accommodations were beautiful and clean. Our room was fabulous! The grounds were very well landscaped. We enjoyed the many places to sit outside and enjoy the gorgeous views of the bay - Gazebo, upper deck, porches, etc. We found all of the staff to be friendly and helpful. Breakfast and happy hour treats were fabulous each and every day! We will DEFINITELY return! The only downside to our stay- we couldn't stay longer!
We were just married on August 8, 2018. Our wedding was beyond anything we ever expected. Marina helped us months before our wedding and was always there with answers for us. She went above and beyond our expectations. Rae the officiant was absolutely amazing and the staff was extremely friendly. The room was amazing the Marie Antoinette room and we hopefully will be staying there each year. Thank you to all of you for making our wedding amazing!
From start to finish everything was perfect with the Bella Bay House. The house cleaner was very accommodating, as well as the young receptionist who gave me several property tours and was very informative. Will definitely be back! Thanks for the great honeymoon.
We stayed at the Beachcomber Cottages and it was absolutely wonderful. The suite was beautiful and the views were spectacular. Just steps from the ocean, it was a perfect beach experience.
We always enjoy the Bayfront Marin. Great location and nice staff.
I'm very happy with our recent stay at the Bayfront Marin House. We stayed in the beach cottage and it was very well maintained and a better view than I expected of the ocean with direct beach access. All around this stay went over my expectations of the entire experience.
Our first trip to St Augustine was enhanced by the staff at the Marin Bayfront House. We stayed in one of the ocean front rooms, which was very comfortable with a fabulous view of the Atlantic. In the morning, we traveled to the Marin Bayfront House for a delicious breakfast before setting out to explore historic St Augustine. Through the Marin Bayfront, we booked a two-hour cruise on the Schooner Freedom and had a great time on the water. We are ready to go back and enjoy another stay with the Marin Bayfront staff and owners.
Our stay was so fabulous we will be returning. Thank you
The stay was only ok. After spending so much money, we expected to have our minds blown. The room was ok at best. Then, didn't even realize that we spent nearly $400 on 1 night and there wasn't even a pool. The staff was friendly, food was ok, but overall, we've been more impressed at a Holiday Inn.
Came for a one night getaway. Great vibe. The staff were friendly and engaged. Room comfortable, clean and located in a perfect location with a great water view. Ordered breakfast in the room which had a home-cooked presentation and taste. Very friendly cat cruising the premises. Would definitely return.
The ocean front was fantastic. Easy access to the beach and the town. Room could use ottomans (we old folks need to put our feet up). Also since it was so hot outside, ceiling fans on the deck would be great. The sun really bakes that area. Great service, prompt and professional. Thanks for the service you provide! I would definitely recommend this for others. And we hope to return sometime soon.
The atmosphere of the room helped create the perfect setting for the relaxing and romantic evening that I had been planning. The room was cozy and warmly decorated. The shower and bathroom were absolutely amazing. Will definitely stay at this property again in the future
We stayed for two weeks, and couldn't have been more pleased. Everyone, without exception, did an outstanding job of being such gracious hosts and hostesses! The food, as always, was exceptional. This is by far the best place to stay in St. Augustine, and will forever remain our favorite. Thank you to the entire staff! Elizabeth Naiburg
Everything was spectacular including breakfast, staff, location and our room. Wonderful location to walk everywhere and enjoy the best of St. Augustine s night life!
My husband and I stayed 2 nights in the Coquina Suite. We loved everything about this romantic getaway! Highly recommend.
We stayed 1 night in the downtown location. Decorated very nice for Christmas. Our room/bathroom were good. Bed was very high which made it hard to get in and out of. Enjoyed happy hour with 3 varieties of homemade Sangria and the homemade appetizers. The breakfast Bacon Strata and hot oatmeal hit the spot.
Superb location and good accommodation. There were a few small issues, which could have been ironed out if communication had been better - although we were fully aware that the owners had bigger problems to sort out at the main hotel, following Hurricane Matthew.
(This next bit is for the owners' benefit and shouldn't put you off coming to stay.)
The section in the welcome letter dedicated to breakfast (either at the hotel or delivered to our door) was crossed out completely, so we made our own arrangements for the first couple of days and bought in some food and drink, only to find a small hamper appear each morning.
Servicing the room appeared to be limited to changing the towels and rearranging the cushions. Being so close to the beach invariably leads to sand appearing on the tiled floor. A quick sweep (or even leaving a broom for guests) would have been welcome.
We tried to park in the short-term parking space in front of the hotel to come in to see you to discuss the lack of TV and wifi, but it was always full of contractors' vehicles, working on the hotel repairs. It was only after a couple of days that we found out that parking was free in the town - would've been nice to know that from day one.
Finally, our afternoon rest from the heat of the day was marred on two of our four days, when contractors clambered onto the roof and set about replacing the felt tiles that had disappeared in the storm. Advance warning would have been welcome.
The lack of communication made us feel more of a hindrance and something to be tolerated rather than welcomed, which was disappointing as our few days with you was the culmination of a two-week break that involved getting married in Orlando and then enjoying our honeymoon.
However, as I said at the start, the location is superb and the accommodation is very good. Well worth a visit - just not during or immediately after extreme weather!
Just returned from my son's destination wedding. The couple chose Bayfront Marin for the families and bridal party. It was both a unique and beautiful choice. The rooms (and I saw 4) were very comfortable and the views spectacular. Mary's hospitality and food made it so special to all the attendees. The atmosphere was more relaxed than standard hotels which was a big plus during all the wedding activities. Since the wedding was in the Cathedral Basilica and reception in the White Room, we could not have asked for a better location.
This hotel has a good location from walking distance from everything in the city , really a lucky decision to stay at Bayfront Marin House.
They are pet friendly
Very good quality food and very good, pleasing service. Breakfast was delicious, happy hour was great
We are looking forward to go back and visit Bayfront and the cottages.
The staff at the Marin House are polite, helpful, yes they are exceptional! We were able to meet the owner and her staff - Amanda, Claudia, Mary and Donna - everyone was very happy and profissional.
We would recommend to everyone who wants to have a great time in Saint Augustine.
Thank you to all staffs
Fantastic room. Staff was great. The whole experience exceeded 5 star hotels.
We loved our time at the Bayfront Marin and only wished that it was longer. It is welcoming, warm and elegant. The food was mouth wateringly good. The bedroom was thoughtfully appointed and wonderfully comfortable. We will definitely be back!
Your inn is the best! Our room was beautiful and immaculately clean. Breakfast each morning was delicious and all of the staff was amazingly friendly and polite. You even let us use your plates and microwave when we brought back leftovers from downtown and wanted to heat them up late at night. Even your parking is closer and more convenient that most inns downtown. We will be staying at the Bayfront Marin House again!
Our family rented the entire beach cottage at 21 Beachcomber Way which includes the Lookout Suite, Atlantic Suite and on the lower level - the Sandpiper Suite to celebrate Memorial Day and our twins graduating from high school. We felt right at home and absolutely loved the spaciousness. The house is oceanfront with amazing views, and you have your own private walkway to the ocean. The new oversized bed swing on the back porch of the Atlantic Suite was a favorite of everyone s. For smaller groups, we recommend taking the Lookout Suite and the Atlantic Suite because they can be connected by an inner stairway door. We highly recommend Beachcomber Cottages!!
Bayfront Marin has incredible intimate wedding venues both bay and ocean front! Their rooms and properties are always clean and beautiful. Monarch has enjoyed working with their professional staff for many years! Thank you for providing a beautiful venue to photograph :)
This place is amazing, my husband surprised me with a romantic weekend here :) he could not of picked a better place. The staff was so fabulous and took great care of us. We stayed in room 10 when we got there they had rose petals on the bed champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries waiting in the room. The outside balcony with the circle Lounge was amazing, happy hour was the best, the food was absolutely fantastic and all-you-can-drink was the best :) the second night we were there we did the couples massage was fabulous the ladies that did our massage were so nice and have such great personalities even got champagne and strawberries then to :) good morning breakfasts are so great the food was so good, the ladies in the morning or so sweet and friendly Mary was fabulous, highly recommend this place whether you're just falling in love or trying to reconnect :) this place is so amazing :) definitely worth it. Close to everything :) A+++++++++++++++++
This was our first trip to St. Augustine and we could not have found a better place to stay. We enjoyed everything about the bed and breakfast. The room was clean and very attractively decorated. The people were very kind and helpful on what to see and do. The breakfast and afternoon snack was great. We would highly recommend this bed and breakfast. On our next trip to St. Augustine we will certainly stay here.
Breakfast is skimpy and beds could be more comfortable.
This was a perfect little getaway for us. The suite was cozy yet spacious. The private access to the beach was great. The customer service was excellent and they even asked housekeeping to clean the room early so we could check in early. We would recommend this to others, and would stay here again!
Don't stay in room 11. Main level, no windows to outside, damp and musty. Like a beautifully appointed cave. The whirlpool tub was broken. The breakfast was delicious with lots of options as was the late afternoon happy hour. Nice free parking spaces a couple of blocks from the Inn.
Let me start by saying the staff was great very friendly and tried extremely hard to make there guest happy with a nice complementary happy our that included drinks and finger foods and a very nice complementary breakfast. Now to the Bad from across the street and in pictures the places looks nice when you get closer you ll see it s run down and in need of work. Our room was a two bedroom unit the walls had cracks and dings and appeared to not have been painted in over 10years the floors were dirty in the foyer area. The head board in the main bedroom had a huge crack in it and about a inch of dust on it. The bathroom chair molding was dirty the floor was also. The raise panel in front of the shower/tub had holes in it and the caulk was dirty and cracked. The ceiling fan blades were covered in dust. Windows paint was cracked and Falling off them. The French doors leading to the room had rust on them and needed painting and in order to lock the dead bolt you had to shack the doors to line up the lock hole. Our room came with a private sitting area outside on the deck the furniture cushions had nasty cat hair and were stained and dirty. This was place was a great disappointment to me and my family pictures do not depict the conditions of place when paying over five hundred dollars for two nights we expected something much better huge let down. You can tell at one time this place had been beautiful but that time has sure past it s now run down and in need of a lot of repairs, maintenance and a good cleaning.
I was in town for my Brother's wedding and booked the Sandpiper cottage. What a beautiful room with an even more wonderful view of the beach! Unfortunately my trip came shortly after Hurricane Matthew blew through so they didn't have their breakfast or happy hour back up and running yet, but I did get to enjoy the breakfast basket delivered to the room with delicious muffins and fruit! The only complaint I can come up with is that I was so busy with wedding and family related events that I didn't get to spend enough time enjoying the room and the beach!
Not only would I stay again, but I've already got a cottage booked in December for my cousin's wedding in St. Augustine!
My family and I attended happy hour there which had a great assortment of complimentary adult beverages and finger foods.
We had the most amazing vacation thanks to the bayfront marin!!! We love the adjustments they ve made to accommodate and ensure travelers safety during these times and thorough enjoyed our in room happy hour and breakfast!! The hospitality was perfect and the room was so cute and comfy. Also, perfect location, walking distance to everything
Beauty at it's best. Relaxing. Happy hour and snacks. Breakfast.
100% satisfied with everything , service very good , room clean and comfortable ,the location better impossible
This was the most amazing vacation ever. The cottage was beautiful and the food was awesome. We are definitely coming back next summer. Mary the cook made our stay even more pleasant and delicious. The entire cleaning staff and bed and breakfast staff were wonderful! A must stay if you're looking for relaxation and coziness.
We stayed at The Bayfront Marin House B&B for three days, and it wasn't nearly long enough! Our room was amazing (Room 8). It was spacious, beautifully decorated, had a king size bed, a sitting area, a huge bathroom with Jacuzzi tub and a large separate shower with dual shower heads (one was a rainfall shower). The room was very inviting, very high end, and spotlessly clean. All rooms have private outside entrances. Ours was on the second level overlooking the bay. It was surrounded by a beautiful outdoor porch/deck with large comfortable outdoor furniture and a fantastic view. Lovely colorful hanging baskets adorned the upper and lower porches. Breakfast and afternoon wine/tea was included. The breakfasts were delicious. We liked that we could choose our own time for breakfast (between 8:00 and 10:00 a.m.), that there were a variety of selections for breakfast (hot breakfast, healthy breakfast, continental, etc.), and that we sat on our own. (It was not family style seating like some B&B's.). We also liked that we could eat outside on the porch, or in the gazebo, or on the patio overlooking the bay. The afternoon wine/tea was delightful, the best I have ever seen. Sangria, Wine, Beer, lemonade, tea, tapas, and something for the sweet tooth (like tiramisu or carrot cake). We were completely wowed, completely, spoiled and loved every minute of it! The staff were very friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and accommodating. There were two honeymooning couples and a 25th wedding anniversary couple staying there while we were there. It is definitely a very romantic place. Also it is dog friendly, which we think is wonderful. We have stayed at many B&B's, Inns, Boutique Hotels, etc. This was among the top (if not THE top) on our list of favorites. We will definitely come back. And we would recommend it without hesitation.
I would consider this better than a 3 star hotel. Staff was impeccable with accommodating every need from our wedding party. The rooms were all very new and Modern. Ac worked like a champ!
Staying at this house submerges you into the history of the area. Built in the 1700s, the Marin House is located just a short, pleasant walk to St. George St., the Castillo, and all the local hot spots. Just a short walk over the Bridge of Lions, I had the best burger of my life at a place called Gas that was recommended by one of the staff here. The staff is A1. Pleasant, courteous, helpful, friendly, accommodating. Being an early riser, I wake up looking for coffee. My new friend Mary who chops the fresh, delicious breakfast fruit and puts together some tasty breakfasts would always have a pot and a smile waiting for me. Breakfasts included eggs Benedict, quiche Lorraine, to die for French toast during our stay. Needless to say I will have to start weight watchers again. You can t beat the stay at the Marin House and I can t say enough good things about it.
Sandy and her staff are absolutely amazing. They were super attentive and helpful. The room was beautiful and updated. Had an incredible experience and would love to stay here again. Would definitely recommend this place!!!
Delightful, charming experience, very appropriate to St Augustine, and the staff were friendly and welcoming.
We stayed for 2 nights at the Bayfront Marin House. Perfect location, right on the bay. Walking distance to anything in St. Augustine. The breakfast was delicious and the staff was super friendly and accommodating. Had a great time!
Love Bayfront! The location is perfect. The room was clean and the staff was nice! Check-in was a breeze because it was all done online, they text you when your room and ready. Can't wait to come back and stay again!
Absolute bliss!!! My husband and I felt spoiled staying here. Everything was so wonderful and beautiful!
My wife surprise me with a Valentine's getaway and she chose this place to stay. Have to say I've never stayed at a bed and breakfast before but this place was fantastic the staff was really nice the food was good love the happy hour and complimentary drinks and hors d'oeuvres. We stayed at their beachfront location which was absolutely fantastic we stayed in the lookout Suite which Overlook the ocean. The room was fantastic really comfortable bed huge tub for bathing in the best view could ever ask for right outside the front door
Lovely B&B. Great location to the historic district. Great breakfast and friendly owner and staff.
We ve been visiting St Augustine for 15 Years and some how never stayed at Bayfront Marin House until this past weekend. I ve stayed in many of the other accommodations in town and this place is hands down my favorite. Beautiful rooms, clean, perfect location, and excellent guest service.
The place is beautiful. I was there for prepping for a wedding, and the room was great. They have an entry space where we could set up hair and makeup stations. And it was very well set up for pretty pictures.
Great weekend getaway. The room was very nice with a lot of old historic charm. The breakfast was also great each morning and the staff was willing to help in any way.
We loved the closeness and yet privacy of the Dunes Suite. Breakfast at the Main House was AMAZING!! We will definately be back!
My third time staying at this Bed and Breakfast and it is hands down THE best in the historic downtown. Staff is amazing, food is great, and you just can not beat the location. It s very clean and each room is unique. Perfect location for walking downtown and watching the sunrise over the bay in the morning. Can not say enough good things about this B&B!
This is where i got married so this bed and breakfast has my heart. Now every year for our anniversary we reserve our room for 3 days and i absolutely love it. Marina is amazing at what she does and a life saver on your wedding day
5 stars from this couple next year we are gonna reserve the lagoon cottage for 5 days. Cant wait see yall soon
We loved it, it was our first b & b went for our honeymoon. Turned out great awesome friendly staff and great food!
Bayfront Marin was such a pleasant surprise! I found it while googling pet friendly hotels in St Augustine when i needed a place to stay with my pooch while closing on my new house here is St Augustine. The staff could not have been any more welcoming - both to me and my dog, and we immediately were made to feel at home. The breakfast on the terrace, and the cocktails and appetizers in the evening were just perfect - i particularly liked that they offered smaller portions in the morning...so many times food is wasted when offered in such large quantities. the portions were just right, and very tasty...especially the homemade ice cream! A cool bowl of water for the dog was also always offered, along with a tasty treat for my four legged friend.
I would recommend the Bayfront Marin to anyone - a beautiful respite right in the heart of Old St Augustine!
I cannot say enough good words about the Bayfront Marin House. We just had our wedding over the weekend, which we rented the entire inn for. The whole staff was more than incredible and Anna and Marina were exceptional coordinators. All of our guests were never without a smile. We stayed in the Marie Antionette, which gave us the greatest view of the sunrise each morning. I was also able to peek into all of the other rooms as well and they were nothing short of the perfect combination of comfort and style. The Bayfront Marin House truly made this most special moment a real fairy tale come true. They are perfectly amazing and I would recommend them to any and everyone.
We had originally booked a bed and breakfast not far from the Bayfront Marin House but due to overbooking we were moved to this location and are so glad that we were! Check in process was smooth, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and the property is gorgeous. All rooms have a waterfront view, with cozy chairs on the balcony to watch the sun set and boats pass by. The rooms are nicely decorated with antiques and so comfortable. We are just sad that we had to leave early in the morning and miss breakfast! We had such an enjoyable stay and will definitely be back.
What a hidden gem in St. Augustine and an excellent place for an elopement. Good service and excellent romantic ambiance.
My husband and I absolutely loved our week at your beach cottage. It was really the best of both worlds, getting all the advantages of both a private beach house and a B&B. We came to the Bayfront Marin House for breakfast almost every day and a couple of times for happy hour. The food was always wonderful and the staff friendly and welcoming. Our cottage had everything we could want, and we enjoyed our private pool as well as walking down to the beach. Having free parking right downtown in the Oldest House lot was so convenient, and we walked just about everywhere we wanted to go from there. We really could not have asked for a better experience!
The Bayfront Marin was a beautiful historic bed and breakfast that also provided a happy hour for it's guests. I felt very relaxed and at home with my family and pet dog. All we're welcoming there including the other guests. We will go again in the cooler months.
This location is just perfect! Cosy bedrooms, excellent and very welcoming staff. They offer a superb happy hour with free food and drinks and they gave us excellent recommandations to restaurants and places to visit. The location was very romantic and perfect for couples.
If you are ever in the area, this is a must stay. We were there two nights and it is the perfect location for never having to drive - walking and trolley is all you need. Room 16 was lovely and spacious with every amenity you needed. Our private balcony was so enjoyed. The 5-7 happy hour has many offerings for drinks and appetizers. The breakfast in the morning is elegant and delicious. The staff helpful and friendly. We cannot think of anyway to improve our stay.
Friendly staff, good breakfast, comfortable room and good location. Pity about the light cancellation.
Wonderful B and B with warm, accommodating staff! We will be back again and again!
Thanks for such a great experience:)
We recently enjoyed a luxe beachfront cottage experience in the Atlantic Suite, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean! Daily breakfast service was enjoyed at the historic Bayfront Marin House, just a few minutes' drive away. We are thrilled to recommend staying at this property - wonderful in all respects!
This vacation was exactly what we needed! Great view and so relaxing. Location was great. We could get to downtown St Augustine quickly and several restaurants. Can t wait to go back!
The hotel is in a perfect location overlooking the Matanzas River and just far enough away from the more hectic part of the waterfront to offer a relaxing stay. We were in room 14 up on the 2nd floor which was perfectly fitted out and very comfortable and has a good view of the river. The staff were all extremely helpful, providing breakfasts and afternoon treats. All in all a great place to stay.
The Inn was perfectly appointed and the staff was especially friendly. Each interaction with members of the Inn's team was fantastic. We asked for no meat in our breakfast casserole and they were happy to accommodate. Thank you so much!
Loved the relaxing environment of the place! And the staff goes above and beyond to make sure you have an amazing experience.
Highly recommend this B&B. It was our first time staying at a Bed and Breakfast, and I can honestly say it exceeded our expectations. The location was perfect and picturesque. The staff was warm, friendly and eager to help make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Our room was nice and cozy and beautifully decorated. The highlight of our stay was the breakfast. Out of control is the only way to describe it!! We offered to take Mary home with us, but no dice!! We are already making plans to return, and Bayfront Marin House is our preferred and only choice!
I decided to rent the Sandpiper Suite as a last minute surprise for my girlfriend two days beforehand on a holiday weekend, and every interaction I had with any staff (phone only due to Covid) from start to finish was perfect. All my questions were answered in a friendly manner, whether it was about the add-ons for the trip or about locating our specific cottage when we arrived. Some communication was delivered via text, such as checking out and delivering breakfast the following morning, and the food was AMAZING. The place itself was beautiful, and having your own beach access makes all the difference if you re used to the kinds of crowds that Vilano and St. Augustine bring. If you re thinking about staying somewhere special, this place is absolutely worth the money. We will definitely be coming back.
Hospitality was out of this world,Everything was perfect.
Was a bit disappointed in our experience at Marin house, we have stayed here last summer and absolutely loved it. Now everything is done through text messages, and when we called to inquire about happy hour, our response was did you sign up for the texts? , yes it s great that we can text an automatic service but it would also be nice if we can be provided with details on the phone as well. In addition our jacuzzi tub was not working in our room and our tv remote was out of batteries, we didn t realize this until we returned to our room after dinner, but there was nobody around to fix these issues as there is no longer a 24 hour person at the desk or can be reached by phone.
Wow...we could not have asked for a better place to stay for our honeymoon. If we could give it 10 stars we would! The house (#92) was spotless, beautiful, private and comfortable. There were a million little details that made everything incredibly welcome and luxurious. We thoroughly enjoyed the private pier right to the beach. Thank you for an amazing stay!
2nd time with you and both times at the beach. Love the location, amenities, breakfast basket, and happy hour downtown!
Great staff..very friendly, helpful and attentive. Super nice to our dogs and really appreciate that. breakfasts and Happy hours very nice.
The minuses were.. the bed in Rm 3 was placed in the room in such a way that the head of the bed was slanted downward, making your feet above you body. It was slight but enough we noticed and was very uncomfortable, enough that we slept with the pillows at the foot of the bed.
Second minus is we couldn t get the thermostat to work correctly and had either cool air blowing on us or then we turned it off so as not to have air blowing on us and woke up very cold 2 mornings.
We enjoyed our stay in the wheelchair accessible room which was well laid out and easy to use. Thank you for that! There is one suggestion: The bed is much to high. I understand that's the trend, but a person using a wheelchair can't get get in and out of these high beds. The bed height should be the same height as the ADA toilet high. You can easily to this by removing the box spring, lowering the bed to almost the perfect height.
