Bayfront Marin House Review

We have stayed here several times! Last time we even brought my parents! Everyone is always helpful and nice. We love the location and the view! This is our #1 choice anytime we are in Saint Augustine!

Breakfast was delicious!!!! And all the staff was so wonderful.

Our room (19) was enormous with full kitchen, separate living room/dining room and beautiful bedroom and bath. Very private and the pups were most comfortable. The afternoon repast and mroning breakfast were wonderful. Can't wait to stay again!

Nice clean room in a fantastic location for exploring the city. We enjoyed free happy hour and a plentiful breakfast. The owner was onsite and checked in with us twice to see if we had everything we needed. She also gave us helpful dining and sightseeing suggestions.

Could not have been more impressed with this place. Checked in fairly late in the evening just missing happy hour but was still offered a cocktail while they were ending. We had room 5 which was a dream. At night throughout the seating area it smelt so pleasant as the chef prepared her morning breakfast. Along with having such a beautiful rooms, the staff was extremely kind and humble. The staff definitely makes this place one of a kind. I can t wait till I visit Saint Augustine again because this will be my first choice to stay if I m lucky to get a room, it s always on high demand but if you have the opportunity don t pass it up. I promise you will regret not staying here. Literally!!!!! #myfavoritegetaway

The best place I have ever stayed! Very beautiful, clean and the staff is amazing. The Inn is right next to the water and you can chose where you want to have your breakfast every morning(breakfast was fabulous). I don't think I can go back to St. Augustine without staying there. Well worth the price and they seem to offer deals on their website. They have a happy hour every evening from 5-7pm with complimentary beer/wine/sangria as well as snacks. The owner even spoke with us one morning at breakfast to make sure our stay was going well. Very hard to leave!

Our first trip to St Augustine with our injured dog in a brace and found the Bayfront Marin House very dog friendly and accommodating. Everyone on the staff was extremely helpful. Both breakfast and cocktail hour at the Bayfront were delicious and both a fun way to start and end days of sightseeing etc. While the Inn might need a few minor upgrades - and we are finicky - we could not have asked for a better place to stay!

We returned to the Marin Bayfront Inn with friends. Even though a recent hurricane had damaged some rooms, we were comfortable and treated royally by a dedicated staff who worked tirelessly to ensure that everything went smoothly. The breakfasts were delicious, and the happy hour is where we met and chatted with old and new friends. The location is unbeatable, too!

We had a wonderful stay at the Marin House...stayed on the beachfront. The service was perfect. Anne took perfect care of us. We felt safe and welcomed. We will be back. Thanks Anne!

I love this bed and breakfast! I was able to enjoy a romantic get away with my bf and the staff helped to make it possible. The happy hour and breakfast are amazing. Very clean and great service.

I really enjoyed staying at this Bed and Breakfast! I can't wait to return. There are private and shared balconies, porch swings and a gazibo. The happy hour were relaxing and the breakfasts were awesome. The wife and I were very happy with how close this was to all the old-town. The walk to St. George Street was less than five minutes. We WILL be back.

This place was fabulous. Very rustic but well kept. The staff was amazing. The owners Mike and Sandy come out and chat with you in the morning. The view was fantastic. You are not far from King St. only a few blocks so everything you can walk to. We were originally going to use the trolley all day but it seemed we could just about walk to every where we wanted to go so we saved on that. This place was just fantastic. We loved sitting on the balcony and watching the lighthouse at night across the bay. I t was beautiful. We have been coming to St. Augustine for over 15 years and this is by far the best place we have stayed. It will be the only place we stay from now on. JUST LOVED IT.

Everything was great, from the breakfast to happy hour. The rooms are very nice and extremely clean. We will be back next year.

What a wonderful place to stay! We booked our stay just a day before we arrived in St.Augustine and got an amazing prize not to mention a beautiful beach front property. The included breakfast was fresh and custom to our dietary needs without any problems whatsoever. On our first day we met Sandy the owner and she was lovely, letting us know the little details that make the cottage very special to her and her staff. We enjoyed our stay so much we extended for another night and as the room we had was already taken we were able to move to another beach property with a stunning view of the ocean early the next morning without any hassle. Anna the housekeeper made sure we were settled in and had everything we need even showing us the washer/dryer available for renters to do some light laundry. The cooks and staff poured nothing but love into each breakfast using family recipes for there delicious fare. The service, staff and cleanliness were exactly what we have come to expect from a 5 star professional operation. We look forward to booking our next trip to Florida and using The Marin House for all our family s lodging needs! Keep up the great work and we look forward to staying with you all again!

Everything you want in a stay in St. Augustine. The location is perfect, the rooms are great.Friendly staff and a cooked to order breakfast. The afternoon Happy Hour (2 hours) is a real treat. Don't wait, make the call .

Nice place, comfortable. Great breakfast! Excellent views. You are right downtown and can leave your car parked during your stay. Trollies available if you are not a walker like us.

Proposed to my fiancee on our private porch, it was beautiful. Also, breakfast and happy hour were great and the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Perfect walking distance to all the fun in downtown. We will be back for sure!

My fiance (now husband) and I stayed here for the week of our wedding and could not have been happier. The room was clean, well maintained, and housekeeping was wonderful. We stayed in the Marie Antoinette room and it was so romantic - with a private porch (& porch swing!) and a jacuzzi tub right at the foot of the bed! The towels were SO soft and they even have a black towel for wiping your face so you don't get makeup on the white towels (and makeup remover pads!). The staff and owner were beyond accommodating - they allowed my husband to bring up our breakfast when I wasn't feeling well one morning and the owner let us store a few containers of leftovers from our wedding! To top it all off, the staff helped my husband heat up the leftovers & set up a tray for our room so we could enjoy them the next evening in our room together. The breakfast menu is on a daily rotation, and was always absolutely delicious! They also offer free bikes (first come, first serve) and wine/beer 5-7 PM daily. We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be back. We couldn't have asked for a better experience during our wedding stay and we would highly recommend this location for any couple looking for a serene, quiet, and romantic stay.

This was our second stay at the Bayfront, the first time was in the Saltwater Cottage and this time we spent our 1st anniversary in the Royal Palms Cottage. Everyone is very warm and welcoming, breakfast is delicious, and we enjoyed starting our evenings out with a stop at the Inn for Happy Hour. Everyone on the staff goes out of their way to make sure that you are happy and well taken care of, from Mary adding chocolate chips to my husbands Banana pancakes to Carol remembering us mentioning our anniversary and making our bed with lovely towel swans and flower petals. These small details are what will keep us returning again and again. Can't wait to return :)

Visited for the elopement package. Wedding coordinator (Marina) was very helpful & easy to work with. Property is gorgeous and relaxing. Quiet area of St Augustine while being within walking distance to St George St. Staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. When we checked out, we were discussing when we will return. Only negative would be that the glider on our porch was broken. You could still sit, just not glide. Overall, not bad considering location on the bay & Hurricane Matthew came through just 8 months prior.

Wow! Bayfront Marin House was amazing. The accommodations, special touches and service was beyond outstanding. Our room was gorgeous and the location was perfect. It was in walking distance from everything which was exactly what we wanted as we brought our baby with us! It was my husbands birthday and BMH left us a special treat of delicious truffles with a kind birthday note. I definitely plan to stay here again! Loved just hanging out in the hammock and swings they have on property! So happy with everything from check in to check out!

Our room was well decorated. Beautiful bathrooms. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed for cooking, grilling, baking, etc. Also, the blender came in handy. They had several beach chairs, umbrella's and cozies. It's within walking distance to Bailey's little store at the Sun Dial.

We had a wonderful weekend! The place is gorgeous inside and out. The staff are very sweet and accommodating. The breakfast is wonderful. They have an awesome happy hour, gorgeous views of the bay and right downtown! They even found out that our dog passed away our first night there and had flowers placed in our room with a sweet condolence note. We can t wait to visit again.

The Bayfront Marin House is a very nice place to stay. It has a wonderful view of the bay from many different places. There is lots of outdoor seating from which to enjoy the weather and the view. The staff was very friendly, courteous and professional. The room was clean and comfortable.

Beautiful BnB in downtown St Augustine. The breakfast at the main hotel served outside is just serene and whoever does the pastries / most of the cooking is a genius. They even share the recipe for the delicious French toast happy hour with complimentary beer/wine and Key lime pie is so refreshing after a long day out. Everyone working there seems really nice and super helpful in every way.

Situated overlooking the river and a short walk from all the major attractions in "old" St Augustine, Bayfront Marin House is an ideal venue for a relaxing visit to the town. Rooms are comfortable, clean and well appointed. Staff are friendly and very helpful, breakfasts are great, and snacks and drinks are available during happy hour each evening. Highly recommended.

!st time visitors to St. Augustine, but staying at the Bayfront Marin Inn almost guarantees that we will be back. Excellent location and wonderful accommodations! Happy hour was wonderful and most welcoming when we first arrived, a little harried from a long car ride and traffic. Breakfast in the morning, outdoors in February while snow storm raged up north, was relaxing and delicious! Even left with several recipes, but I think more are available on line. Our rooms were beautiful and comfortable. Once unpacked and car parked, we were able to walk around St. Augustine, a very friendly and beautiful city.

We love the Bayfront Marin House! Their cottages are so charming and we are looking forward to getting married in the gazebo next year. Their wedding coordinator is so friendly and helpful. I love how she takes care of all the details.

We stayed in beach cottage #102 The Royal Palm. We had the most wonderful time. The room was incredible with a great tub, great shower, comfy bed, and unbelievable views. The staff who did our daily service were wonderful, shout out to Kelly for being so friendly and accommodating. We loved going into town for fresh yummy breakfast and also loved to come back on the evenings for happy hour! I miss the sangria, guacamole, and homemade ice cream already! We spent most of our days at the beach, loved all the access to beach chairs and umbrellas. Just writing this review makes me miss this place even more!

We absolutely loved our stay! Rooms were cozy and the staff were really friendly. The breakfast and the complimentary happy hour was amazing. And, the location is perfect!

We recently stayed at the Bayfront Marin House for a quick weekend getaway! The amenities, view, location, atmosphere, and staff were amazing! A special thank you to Brian who was able to get us settled in our room early due to the room being empty the night before. We arrived around 9:30 am and it was very nice to be able to get settled in room before a day of sightseeing! Mary was wonderful not only her recipes & cooking but loved talking with her. Also owner Sandy was present on more than one occasssion and always checking to make sure our stay was enjoyable. Breakfast and the daily Happy Hours were an added bonus and very much enjoyed. We stayed in the Marie Antoinette suite and loved it! The private porch with swing was great for watching sunrise with a cup of coffee in the am and for relaxing in the afternoon after a day of activities - we were able to watch boats and horse carriages go by and both afternoons there was a nice breeze . Thank you all for a great relaxing weekend!

Spent three nights here and loved it! The room was great and the location was perfect. Had breakfast every morning and enjoyed hors d'oeuvres every evening and the food was just delicious. Can't say enough about this place and will definitely stay here again on our next visit.

We enjoyed every moment of our stay. From the moment I contacted the Bayfront Marin to our check out. Staff is wonderful and attentive. We stayed in the beach front cottage. Loved it! Short drive to the main house for breakfast or happy hour. We had breakfast delivered too. Loved sitting out on the little porch wrapped in a blanket while the fog rolled in and listing to the waves. Relaxing, peaceful and simply a wonderful time in St. Augustine!

I stayed at the Bayfront in January to attend a friend's wedding. My friend was excited and booked it based on believing it was a 5 star Bed and Breakfast - which it is definitely not. The pro's of course is its location.
The breakfast was good - not 5 star. Check in was awful - couldn't find my reservation. No instructions ever given for TV or internet connection, so I did without. Room was good - not great. Parking is a long way away for you to drag your bags upon check out! Desk staff not the friendliest. I don't plan on returning to the Bayfront - but St. Augustine is somewhere to definitely visit.

The Royal Palm was an awesome room right on the beach that we enjoyed very much. The staff were awesome. Super friendly and helpful. They took very excellent care of us and were so kind and welcoming. Will definitely go back and spend some time with them.

This is the only B&B I ll stay at when I visit St. Augustine. The staff is so friendly and professional and Mike and Sandy have ensured that things continue to run smoothly even during this pandemic. You will not be disappointed staying here folks!

For our 5 year wedding anniversary it was a priority for me to find a place off the water, that would yield beautiful views and a relaxing environment fit for the occasion. It was everything and more. The Bayfront Marin B&B was gorgeous just by looking at the pictures, but it didn't offer as much privacy as we had wanted! However, through their website I was pleasantly surprised to see that they also offered beach cottages rentals (called beachcombers) right off of Vilano Beach (about a 7-10 minute drive to the Bayfront Marin). This is where we ultimately booked our stay. We rented the Royal Palm Suite and were completely amazed by the beauty of the beach as soon as we walked into the room! It nearly brought me to tears! The entire Royal Palm suite is lined with windows and you can see out as far as the eye can see. You can see storms coming in, and the sun rising. You are RIGHT there on the water, and within a 20 foot walk you are at the shoreline. The waves crashing are all you hear. When we rented the Royal Palm Suite, we didn't realize we could still participate in the breakfast or happy hour at the Bayfront Marin Bed and Breakfast offered (located in the heart of St. Augustine!!) YOU CAN!! You can opt out and have a basket with homemade goodies brought to your door....but WHY? WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT? THIS PLACE'S BREAKFAST was to die for. The staff was incredibly sweet and attentive. Mary, the cook and the heart of that kitchen, has a spitfire personality, and between her cooking skills and sass you just want to take her home with you. She was more than willing to hand out the recipes for the TWO BEST breakfasts I HAVE ever had, EVER. The owners are incredible and the woman (who I unfortunately cannot remember her name!!) was amazing too! Her story on how they started the business, and what it means to her and the love she puts into everything they do (including the gardening which is so beautifully done) is just one of so many reasons why the beachcomber cottage, and the Bayfront Marin B&B were major highlights for our weekend away. I am so moved by the hospitality and love that you feel coming to this place. Eating outside gives the most incredible view with breeze, the staff from owner, to cook, to wait staff all just put their all into everything. It feels like home. Thank you all for such an incredible, relaxing, weekend away. We love it all. A memory we won't soon forget. P.S the only downfall (which was more humorous than anything) was that we didn't realize until late the first day that with the Royal Palm Suite being the center of the beach, you are in clear view of whoever is on that beach - ESPECIALLY AT NIGHT....whoops!

We had a beach house. Everything was perfect except the bed quality that is not up to what we usually have in the US

My husband and I wanted to get away for a couple of days but not too far from home. This was the perfect spot. We stayed in the Saltwater Suite (at the Beachcomber Cottages on Vilano Beach), which was on the smaller side, but doable for a couple for 2 nights. If it had been more than just us or for a longer stay, I would have booked something larger. The place was clean, with the AC blasting pretty cold which we loved. The upgraded shower with rain shower head and body jets was great, as well as the small private pool outside just for us. The pool and being steps away from the beach access were the highlights of our trip. There were plenty of towels provided, but I will say there could be hooks to hang them to dry added in the room. There was also a mini fridge, microwave and Keurig coffee maker provided (no sink other than the bathroom though). The other highlight of our trip was going into town to the Bayfront Marin for breakfast both mornings. The food was delicious, plentiful, and the staff was very friendly. The only thing I will say is that if you have the luck of having noisy neighbors above you, you will hear absolutely everything. There was a family with kids above us and we could hear constant thumping, running, and screaming- and I mean literally almost all of the time we were inside. Hope you fare better!

My girlfriend and I spent a night here to celebrate our 2 year anniversary. I arranged for champagne and chocolate covered strawberries to be waiting for us when we arrived. Everything was in order when we checked in and my girlfriend loved it. The room was beautifully appointed and the private porch with the view of the water was a perfect place to enjoy our champagne. The staff was so attentive and helpful. This B&B has all the amenities and decor of a more formal establishment, but has a decidedly more casual and relaxed vibe, which was perfect for us. We loved our brief visit to this charming B&B and will definitely be back again when we can stay longer.

Not only were the rooms & location great & easily accessible to everything; the service was what made it the Best.
Ms. Mary & all the ladies made us feel at home, comfortable & the food both breakfast & happy hour - 5 Star delicious.

This was my wife and I's first time at a B&B; our experience here made us both fans!!! The house is beautiful inside and out. Parking is about a block away, but that's not a problem as you can unload your things in front of the B&B and then park and walk back. A ways from downtown, so we drove to a lot downtown where we could walk and experience St. Augustine.

Beautiful home right on the Bayfront. Great location! Literally only minutes walk away from Old Town and great restaurants. Went down with my wife on our honeymoon. As we were leaving we were already planning our next trip back!

We really enjoyed our stay at The Beachcomber Cottages. The location was great, right on the beach away from all the hustle and bustle but close enough to head into town in just a few minutes. The staff at the Bayfront Marin House were very courteous and helpful. We stayed in 101 Dunes Suite and found it to be very comfortable. The bed sheets were so soft and luxurious however the bed may be in need of replacing soon. One side had lost its firmness all together. We would definitely recommend this sweet spot to anyone looking for a relaxing time in St. Augustine and Vilano Beach. Thank you for your hospitality.

My husband and I have been coming to St. Augustine to celebrate our anniversary for years but this was our first time staying at the Bayfront Marin House. All I can say is WOW. I will never stay anywhere else again. Lived up to all the reviews and my expectations and then some. Beautiful rooms and grounds, delicious food and exceptional service. Can't wait to come back again!

What can I say...we had an amazing stay at the Bayfront Marin this past weekend! We were at a little apprehensive as this was our first ever stay in a B&B. As soon as we entered our guestroom all of our worries melted away. Beautiful room with a wall mounted electric fireplace, excellent lighting, a cozy jetted tub for 2, amazing rainfall shower with body jets and the bed was a soft as a cloud. Delicious breakfasts and happy hour goodies delivered to your room minimizing exposure. Sandy and her staff were very attentive and have done very well adjusting to the the current climate keeping guests comfortable and safe. If you are looking for a St Augustine getaway, Bayfront Marin is your place! Great location within easy walking distance to most attractions in the downtown area. You will not be disappointed. Looking forward to my next visit.

The mattress needed replaced years ago, we both actually left with sore backs and necks. Housekeeping, the room was not cleaned adequately during our stay. There were bugs in the windows, and the tops of the night stands hadn't been even wiped off as the were drink rings on them. From previous guests. We didn't receive clean glasses each day, the used ones were left there.. The ice bucket was not emptied and a new liner wasn't left for us. There was no scoop in the ice machine. It rained the first day of our stay and none of the cushions were removed from the outside sitting area. We were unable to use it during our stay because the cushions were soaked through.

This was a perfect choice for a birthday getaway. My partner and I always look for B&B s with an in-room jacuzzi whenever we want to do a couple s getaway. This B&B did NOT disappoint. It was worth every penny.

The service was friendly and fantastic, and they practiced COVID-19 safety precautions. Heck, even the landscaping crew that stopped by for a midday mowing was efficient, polite, and had their job done in under 1 hour.

I can t think of anything negative that befell us at our stay. Grand Marin is only two-three blocks from St. George shops, it s only a 5 min walk to the Castillo. Which is ideal. Too close and you get a bunch of on the street waking you up, too far and the walk in ambient 95 degree weather with a humidity index of 50% is arduous, to say the least.

We felt like we were living the high life every minute we stayed there.

When I visit St. A in the future, we will definitely be considering this place again for our stay, and I m certain I ll be dropping the name of this place in casual conversation for vacationers.

Bay front Marin House was super clean. Service was excellent and loved the happy hour and breakfast. The strawberry rhubarb pie was amazing! I would suggest the B&B to all my friends. My husband has a difficult time walking and uses a cane, we found it very easy to get around the grounds. It was also very convenient to everything in town. Thank you we will be back next year.

This has been my second stay at the Marin house. The first was about 3 years ago which I can't believe it has been that long. I have stayed at a few other B&B in the historic area in the past 3 years and I can honestly say that this is the best overall by a long shot! The rooms are always being maintained and updated with the best care to keep things with a mix of old and new. I can not say enough good things about the Marin house and all of the staff there. I am sticking with the best from now on and I look forward to trying the beachside location as well!

We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful B & B. The staff was courteous and helpful, the breakfast wonderful,
and the location perfect for watching the boats on the water or exploring the city. Water pressure was low,
but in this very old structure in an old city, it is to be expected. We look forward to returning and will recommend it to our friends.

We stayed here for our honeymoon and it was amazing. The staff was so nice, the city is beautiful. We had had massages in our rooms, sail boat tour and everything. It was an amazing place and we definitely plan on returning. I've already passed word on to friends of ours for their honeymoon as well!

The Bayfront Marin House is a beautiful building and you feel well taken care of there. Decadent breakfasts, with Mary right behind them saying hello and explaining what the food is and supplying recipes if you want. The afternoon wine and appetizers is also a luxury to experience. Friendly personnel. Amenities well thought out (beach chairs available, comfy swing, etc.)

My issues include:

It should be mentioned on the website that breakfast and afternoon wine is a short drive away if someone is planning on renting a beach house, so people booking the place know it is not within walking distance.
Directions to the beach house should be carefully explained in a welcome email to all beach house guests. Both cars arriving (from different starting points) were lost in trying to find the place - remember a lot of people are not familiar with St. Augustine.
I was a bit upset as because of the first two reasons we were not able to attend the first afternoon s wine activity even after having planned what I thought was appropriate time (to the Marin House, walking distance both which were wrong assumptions on my part).
I ordered a Birthday package. Cake and choice of champagne was excellent. We had three balloons, two of which said Happy Birthday and one said Happy Anniversary. That latter one was a bit unnerving.

Stayed at their beach cottage right on Vilano Beach. The cottage was super clean and the staff was friendly and accommodating. We also had access to free parking if we wanted to head into St. Augustine. In addition, they are pet friendly! We loved staying here!

This was the best place ever. The staff was super nice and helpful. The happy hour is by far better than any other. The rooms come with beatuful views and are very charming. It felt as if everyone was family. We are planning to return again. This is the place to stay in St Augustine.

My husband and I stayed in the King George suite for our anniversary. The hotel is in a great location with a beautiful view and the courtyard has wonderful atmosphere. When we checked in and told the front desk staff that it was our anniversary they promptly followed up and provided us with little desserts and a card, which was very sweet. We only had breakfast one morning and it was very good, as well as the happy hour appetizers and drinks were very good too. The few drawbacks were in regards to when I was booking the room and being given different prices for the room and having to correct the reservation dates etc. Our military discount was honored after having to rebut a little. We had several gnats in our room, and my husband killed 2 roaches throughout our 4 night stay. Also on one of the days that our room was cleaned for some reason the bathroom section was overlooked and not cleaned. The price to stay at Bayfront was very expensive for us, so we were not thrilled with those few drawbacks, but we enjoyed our stay overall.

This is our third year here and we adore it! It s clean, spacious, everyone is accommodating, perfect!

I stayed in the Lagoon Beach Cottage and it was a wonderful stay. Just a few steps from a beautiful beach. The Cottage was clean, the pool was awesome and the daily breakfast drop off was perfect. Would highly recommend the Bayfront Marin House beach cottages for anyone looking for a relaxed vacation.

Our stay at the Bayfront Marin House for our 19th wedding anniversary was outstanding. The room was beautiful and the staff was amazing. The owners were out of town while we were there, but you would never know based on how well the staff managed. The breakfast in bed was delicious and romantic. Our last two nights, we stayed at one of the beach cottages due to the Bayfront being booked. Our cottage was ready in a timely manner, which made our transition easy. Thank you for making us feel so welcome. We look forward to our next stay!

This was the most exceptional experience!! We loved the room, the privacy, the friendly staff and beautiful grounds. We feel that it is our home away from home and we will most defiantly return. Thank you for such a wonderful memory.

Beautiful facility right on the waterfront in the Old City. Staff was incredibly helpful and kind. And to find a place of this caliber that is not only pet-friendly but incredibly welcoming to me and my dog is really amazing. It was a great base to explore the city--I will be back!

Our experience with Marin House was exceptional. From the quick response to my email inquiry, reassuring us about allowing our kitty in the beach house, to the last click of the door as we left on the final day of our get away, we were happy and relaxed. Oceanview cottage was clean, cool and equipped with everything we needed from coffee to beach towels. Thank you for all the personal attention and kindness shown on our trip. I will be recommending Marin House to everyone, in fact I already did during our family reunion!

My wife and I stayed at the salt water sweet by the beach from Thursday to Monday. For a price of $320 a night it was sub par at best. When driving up to the room, it s on a run down street. The shower in the room and little pool were the highlight. The pool was overlooked by a little blue shack though with the neighbors and there dog (barked if we were in the pool) on there patio 24/7. So we felt awkward using the pool. There were curtains but they were rendered useless because of the wind. The outside of the property was unkempt. The room itself was very nice. Definitely on the small side but we knew that going in. The room is part of a larger house run by a different property. You can here absolutely every step and word said in the other part of the property. The breakfast portion of our stay was also sub par. The first day we opted for a basket to be delivered. It was cute. It had a stale piece of what smelled like raisin breed an apple and a tangerine along with a egg and sausage concoction and a box yogurt covered raisins. We decided to go to the actual B&B to see if it was better and it was a little bit but not by much. We actually got served leftovers from the previous day. Same dish. Cocktail hour was also disappointing. The two that we got to go to consisted of pimento spread, pita chips, and crusty dried carrots. As well as decent glass of wine. The next day was the same except with Tostitos scoops chips. On Sunday and Monday we actually lost internet. So we were stuck in the room with nothing to do but look at our phones since the TV was ran with a Roku streaming device. I can say that for $320+ a night I was expect a whole lot nicer property and food. I can say the staff we interacted with were very friendly.

Having not stayed at the Bayfront Marin House in nearly two years, we were very happy to see that not only had the room remained the same as we remembered, but the service was just as wonderful as the last time we stayed. Having had a slightly negative experience in the past with regard to a memorable occasion, we were delighted in the hosts' efforts to make it up to us and they were great. We are looking forward to future stays at the house.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay here very much. Our room was clean and very comfortable. The staff was friendly and service and food was great. We are returning again in August! Yes we recommend this very pleasant B & B !

My husband and I went to Saint Augustine to celebrate our anniversary and stayed at Bayfront Marin House. The room is amazing and the staff so nice! The location is great and so close to all the restaurants in the old town! We loved it and highly recommend it!

We enjoyed everything about our stay. The room was absolutely beautiful. We were at one of the beach cottages and had about a 100 foot walk out the door to the beach. Just amazing. Everyone was so helpful and gracious. The morning breakfast was perfect. My Fiance and I will be back for sure.

We know that we stayed at the Vilano properties only days after the hurricane and loss of the Inn and so did not get to enjoy the usual amenities of the stay here. But we were blessed to get to meet and talk to the staff and owners who were all very helpful and kind despite their terrible loss and the chaos that followed. We had fresh baked goods & fruit brought to us each morning in a cute little picnic basket which was an unexpected surprise as we thought we would be totally on our own. We loved the Inn in the past but didn't really have a connection to it and being there at this time afforded us the chance to get to really know the people who staff and run the Inn and it made it all the more magical for us. We cannot wait to return soon when they are back up and running at full capacity and enjoy all the wonderful things the Inn has to offer. We were especially glad to get to stay in the Royal Palm suite (which was an upgrade from our original booking and much appreciated as it had a kitchen and we needed that since a lot of restaurants were closed due to the storm) and a suite we normally would not have been able to afford. It was quite a beautiful view and the room was just stunning. Fabulous bathroom and bed was super comfy. Sandy & Mike, Ann, Elouisa...thank you all for the hospitality you extended to us at a time of such loss for yourselves. We were so thankful to experience your beautiful city despite the circumstances. Hoping to see you again in January!!

The beachcomber cottages as well as the main hotel are breathtakingly beautiful, well staffed, and well operated.

This place was possibly the best room I've ever stayed in. The perfect combination of luxury, class, and homely feel. The staff was amazing and went above and beyond with the deluxe romance package for my girlfriend's birthday. I would definitely recommend to anyone and we will be returning soon!

Amazing stay at the beachfront cottages- the porch downstairs was amazing for relaxing and napping! Great service and hospitality!

Three family members came down from NJ to spend a week with my wife and I. To make the trip more exciting we decided to spend two nights in St. Augustine (we live on the west coast). My wife and I are familiar with all the Bayfront properties so when our guests said they were looking for a full beach day we felt the Royal Palms and the Dunes, which are located at the beach, would be perfect. The two suites have an adjoining door which made it perfect for our needs.
The staff was very helpful as usual, making us feel right at home. My wife and I have always have a great time at any of the Bayfront properties and this was no different. As my wife and I expected it was an excellent stay and the highlight of our families vacation!

Everything was perfect at the Bayfront Marin House Cottage from the spectacular view of the ocean to the comfort of the cottage. We thoroughly enjoyed the delightful breakfasts each morning. The food was great, and the service was impeccable. The owners are fabulous people who do everything in their power to make the experience unforgettable.
