He spent the whole day in helping me from trying to giving me the best price to inspection and registration process to make it ready for me. They are all professional! Very arrogant manager. the arab guy by the name of Same, was very pushy and not friendly at all. He also came at the end and made us feel not welcomed and we do not belong there.
I wouldn't recommend the place to anyone who is looking for a place that they will continue doing business for a long time. The younger salesperson who was under training was much better and more understanding to our need than the man who is suppose to be the supervisor.
I will not go to that place again and will tell all my friends and family about it

Stay away from this dealership, we worked with Anil Marajah (Neil). He tried to intimidate us into signing a lease on a new Elantra. Truthfully, he screamed at us for asking him the out the door price for the car. Apparently he wants us to sign the lease, give him the down payment and only then he will go over taxes and dealership fees. This is a textbook scam, I ve been in sales all my life. What they are doing is actually illegal. Would you sign to buy anything without knowing the full cost? Take your business to a legitimate dealership. Do yourself a favor, STAY AWAY!

I NEVER give 5 stars unless absolutely warranted. I bought another brand vehicle from another dealer in another state a year and a half ago. Since having it in NY, I ve taken it to service at another dealer FOUR times this year already, including this week for similar to the most recent issue. When I found out I d have to pay over 2K worth of repairs because my stupid extended warranty only covered a certain amount, I was livid and made the final decision that I d be buying a new (at least new to me) and it would not be a domestic vehicle!

I initially went to the dealership at the location where I last took my vehicle for service hoping they d be able to assist since my bank pre-qualified me. However, the only two vehicles they had or wanted to show me were a domestic and a luxury foreign vehicle which smelled like cigarette smoke. That vehicle would have been attractive had it not been as old as it was and for the price. Just didn t make sense. It was obvious those guys didn t care either way about making a sale or about my plight. So I walked out and drove off with my vehicle. I moved on to a 2nd location down the street from Bay Ridge Hyundai and was supposed to speak with a particular young lady with whom I initiated contact over the phone on my way from the first spot. When I walked in, one of the sales guys who was standing at the front all of a sudden perked up and acted like he was so suave and would be helping me out. He quickly learned I wasn t there for charm and only there for business. Upon hearing my stipulations of no domestic vehicles, staying within my current ballpark of my car note and needing an SUV, he too was unsympathetic to my plight and also seemed like he didn t care about a sale. I departed from that location and retreated to my vehicle having already started a text conversation with another dealership about a mile away. As I perused the dealers and vehicles associated with my bank, Bay Ridge Hyundai kept popping up with vehicles. Since I was about a block away, I decided to just head over. It was already 8:30pm. They closed at 9. I was DETERMINED to get in and leave with something!

I walked in and there was one salesperson (Kevin) on the floor with customers. He greeted me when he had a chance and then directed another salesperson who had walked in a few minutes after I did. Meet Julio. Julio takes me over to a table and starts to gather info. He, like the previous sales guys, was initially apprehensive hearing my stipulations. However, he, unlike the other guys, was sympathetic to my plight and told me he d take care of me. I walked in at 8:30pm and walked out at 11:30pm with my 2016 Nissan Rogue!!!

Julio introduced me to Ahmed, his manager, who explained the constraints of the stipulations given my status financially. He also stated he d try to work out something to get me in a vehicle that would meet my needs. Julio showed me a vehicle (the Rogue) which definitely piqued my interest. However, I was more concerned with the price. I wanted to trade in my vehicle as a part of my purchase. Eventually, Ahmed came back to advise he d found a bank and I had two options...both would increase my current payments. I chose the lesser of two evils. Ahmed brought Brian the finance Manager into the process and they got me a deal with the payments increased. But I ll be able to re-fi in about 8 months.

The patience Julio and the rest of the team extended to me during this more than stressful week made the 3 hours I had to go through for the sale to occur worth it! They kept me engaged and encouraged me the entire time. While the vehicle will eventually have to receive service from a Nissan dealer and not BR Hyundai, I d recommend Julio any day to any one because he cares about the needs of the customer and wants to work with them to get them what they desire. I had a great experience in Bay Ridge Hydunai. The sales rep. Chris was super kind and it never felt like he was ripping us off. He was always willing to work with me to get great pricing on the car and we eventually got the car down to a great price even lower than we expected. Overall I would shop here again and would definitely recommend asking for Chris.

First time visiting a Hyundai dealer and wanted to test drive a vehicle. To my surprise, the reps were outright nasty and I had to leave within a few minutes. I would not trust those peoples advice nor their deals.

After looking over many of the reviews, I noticed that most of the 5* reviews are from people who only have one review on their account and that the names look very similar including their writing styles. I would not be surprised if in actuality the average review is below 3*'s.

For example, one recent review states "wonderful and hassle free" and "very straight price with the best discounts no gimmicks no hidden fees" this style writing is clearly from a car dealer rep.

Stay away from this dealership! A few days ago, we came to this office, chose a car and agreed upon 3,000 downpayment and $200 a month. Manager asked for my credit card for deposit. Then he took our plates off, called Geico and transferred my insurance to the new car. Then he told us to wait until a new car arrives (we waited about 3 hours). After we looked at the new car, manager asked us to wait for financial representative. I was shocked when financial representative told us to pay another 3,950 on top of 3,000. We told him that we don t agree and we are not going to sign a lease. Manager replied that he is not going to refund 3,000. Then we told him that we are going to call our bank and dispute the 3,000 after which another representative got involved in our conversation and refunded us 3,000. We left disappointed. If you value your time and nerves, never go to this office!

Worst car buying experience of my life. After being bait and switched by another Hyundai dealership, I called Bay Ridge Hyundai and spoke to Mary about pricing for the car I was looking to lease. We agreed on a price, she said she spoke to the manager confirming they could do the price we agreed upon, and then I made sure to confirm the exact details of the deal with her at least 5 times to ensure there would be no surprises before I traveled all the way out to them to finalize the deal.

Upon arrival, I was told by the sales agent Kevin that that price was entirely undoable, and I was given a new price that was thousands of dollars more. Even after this latest bait and switch, I unfortunately sat there and continued to negotiate.

We agreed upon terms, a lease agreement was drawn up, and the agent went to finalize things with his manager. Lo and behold, the sales manager came out and said there were additional costs that had to be factored in, and they simply couldn't do the price that was on the paper.

Never in my life have I experienced such slimy, underhanded business practices, as I had in this one dealership. I was bait and switched twice by the same dealership, and hours of my day wasted by people who don't mind running such a disgusting enterprise. Just a terrible experience with terrible people.

It is the WORST EXPERIENCE that my husband and I have had. It is a very unprofessional place and sadly they do not care about the SAFETY of the client. They sell you vehicles with SAFETY PROBLEMS and they lie when describing everything in the car. We live in the state of Massachusetts we travelled to this place to buy our vehicle; when we get to Massachusetts we had to do the inspection where we were told we were lucky to be alive traveling from New York to Massachusetts. The engine had liquified oil!!! Thank God we made it home okay but anything could have happened to us. Ever since then my husband and I have tried to communicate with them and they ignore us, they do not give us an answer, much less they try to solve all the problems that this vehicle caused us. Even the general manager ignores us but judging by his behavior, he is leading his staff by example. To all that have read this comment think twice when buying a vehicle in this place. I could not have been here to share this.

Be careful with them. Two months ago I leased a new Sonata and returned an older one with two months left on my contract. As part of the deal they were supposed to pay Hyundai for the two months. They never did and never grounded the car and now Hyundai is after me because they believe the car is still in my possession. After two months of arguing with Hyundai and Bay Ridge dealership the matter is yet to be resolved. They refuse to pay. Be careful with them.

No bs sale pitches straight to the point. I went in there saw jean, I purchased the most expensive car off thier lot 2020 palisade top model.

They made me return my audi lease before they had paperwork ready, so I ended up with two weeks with no car having to use uber, the general manager (big guy sitting behind financing window) said they will reimburse me which they never did!

Furthermore the only person who seamed to be nice and promised she will take care of everything was cristene frim finance. She also sold me an additional $3,000 extended service plan which she told me I can cancel at any time, and she finished off with her convincing smile calling everyone "HUN".

I tried to cancel since they are closed sunday and thats the only day I can service my car, and all of a sudden once I signed paperwork and walked out I getting completely ignored from everyone.

Bottom line
Im out 1k on all the ubers plus 3k on service contract. (And broken promises).

My worst car buying experience ever! And im the guy who spends very generously I did not bargain at all I walked out with a 55k car and they treated me like garbage, maybe bc im black who knows.

Plenty good people out there to get your car from, stay away!

The most unprofessional dealership I have dealt with. The sales manager Ahmed is a bad representation of everything Hyundai stands for. Avoid here at all costs. They ll wait until you get a car and give you the run around for months. Ahmed is extremely disrespectful and rude and will yell over customers and berate them as well as threaten to call the police on them and kick them out.

Thankfully Lilly, Krystal,Danny, and Joe were extremely helpful and literally did everything in their power to rectify the situation that Ahmed created. If it weren t for them I would never return here nor would I have anything nice to say about this establishment

leased a 2017 elantra from them so when the lease was up we decided to give them another shot. long story short I told them what I wanted, how much I was willing to pay and if they could do the deal I would get the car that day. dealt with Noor and he met the deal. they only hiccup was that I thought the car was in stock but I ended up having to wait a couple of hours for the car to come in from their lot in staten island. I thought I was being bait & switched but the car came in just fine. dealt with them 2 times and had 2 good experiences. i'll try for a 3rd next year when my we're ready to get a new Tucson.

I purchased a vehicle from this place last October 2017. The sales person didnt mention anything to me about a GAP CLAUSE. I was never told about it until I had an accident. So I have no choice but to pay the remaining balance on the account for a vehicle I AM PAYING FOR A SUV I DO NOT HAVE AND MANAGER WAS NOT HELPFUL AT ALL AND THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE DOESN'T KNOW ANYTHING EITHER!

If I could give no stars, it would be zero. Worst experience ever! I went to purchase a car that was listed at 13 grand, they mark it up another another ridiculous 2 grand called dealer prep fees. I decide to let it go but not even two weeks into owning the car, the car has a problem. I take it Plaza Hyundai and its going over a week and I call every day 3-4 times leaving messages, no one returns my call or can give me an update. I reach out to this dealership - emailing the general manager and manager and again no responses. This has been going over a week and has caused a lot of stress and aggravation on my part. And to think I paid cash, so no don't spend your hard earned money here. There are other dealerships nearby, go there instead. You'll save yourself from a big mistake.

I wanted to return a leased Santa Fe Sport and mad...

I wanted to return a leased Santa Fe Sport and made inquires to the Hyundai Finance department starting on Friday, June 7, 2019 asking the procedure to returning a lease. I was told 1) you have to make an appointment at ANY Hyundai dealership and then 2) obtain a return receipt with the person's name that assessed the return.

I made several calls on Saturday, June 8, 2019 to different Brooklyn and NY dealerships to make an appointment to return the car. I called the Astoria Location, Nostrand Avenue, Bay Ridge location and every time I stated that I was not repurchasing or leasing, I was hung up upon. Eventually I got two appointments; one from Nostrand avenue for 6/27 and one for Bay Ridge for 6/11/19 for 4pm.

At the time I told the receptionist (Nico) that I will not be repurchasing. Bay Ridge Hyundai called me on June 11th to confirm. At that time, the receptionist (Rocco) asked again whether I was trading in and I told him no.

Upon arrival at Bay Ridge Hyundai, I parked my car in the area dedicated for valet. I first spoke to a salesman, Joseph. He informed me that unfortunately the dealership would not be able to take my leased car for return. I inquired as to why and he said "If you were taking a car off our lot, then it would make sense but since you're not we don't have the space." I repeated what the financing department told me on Friday ( 1) you have to make an appointment at ANY Hyundai dealership and then 2) obtain a return receipt with the person's name that assessed the return). I asked to speak with a manager.

A gentleman, Ahmad Hamdan introduced himself as the manager and proceeded to tell me the same thing. I reminded him what Hyundai financing told me and he said "Why don't you take the car back to where you leased it?" I reminded him that it is HYUNDAI's policy to go wherever you want and I chose his dealership and i previously made an appointment and told his people in advance that I was not repurchasing.

Ahmad became irate when I told him I would call Hyundai motor finance to speak with them. He accused me of being rude and disrespectful and said "Now, I don't care who you speak to, I'm not taking your car."

I responded "Have I cursed at you? Have I raised my voice or turned over a table? I haven't done any of those things so to accuse me of being rude is ridiculous." I immediately took out my phone and pressed record. I informed him that I would videotape the conversation and asked him to repeat himself and he walked away. I began to call Hyundai Motor Finance and then a man who introduced himself as another manager called Sam; came over and said he would do the entire transaction to smooth everything over. There were no additional incidents after this time.

I am still in shock of the way your employees in the Bay Ridge Hyundai (9014 4th avenue) conducted themselves. I was a loyal Hyundai customer for 6 years. I decided I no longer want a Hyundai or a lease. I have that right as a customer. I do not owe Hyundai or anyone who works for Hyundai any explanations nor do I have to put my money in a company that disrespects customers.

I am disgusted and disappointed in the integrity of your employees. Their behavior was deplorable. I felt bullied and targeted. I felt attacked and singled out.

This experience has definitely shown me that Hyundai seems to support these bullying tactics to sell cars. If the salesmen worried more about integrity in the product they are selling and providing excellent customer service, they would do well. These tactics really soured me on the whole Hyundai experience and due to that fact, I will not be repurchasing a Hyundai ever.

I was at this dealership in late September of 2018. I went with my grandfather to look at an Infiniti Q50, because it was priced fairly well. We live in central Jersey keep in mind so it was a decent drive, especially for a man in his mid 70 s. We get to the dealership and we look at the car, which looks worse in person than it did in the photos. The trunk fittings were all screwed up, and that s not the worst part. We get in the car and it has a strange smell, and I try to ignore it but then I feel my wetness in my shoes. There was water in the carpeting which clearly indicated that we were in a flood car. What made it even better was when the sales rep said that a window must have been left open, when I felt every other piece of carpeting and it indeed was wet as well. This is unexceptable.

First time buying a car from a dealership and neve...

First time buying a car from a dealership and never would of thought it would be this easy and simple. Went to another Hyundai dealer before and wasn t able to accomplish anything wanted an Elantra Gt. But met with salesperson Ahmad who was able to show me a regular Elantra so I was able to reach the monthly payment I was looking for. Was not pushy at all and very laid back. If you re looking for a Hyundai go to bay ridge you ll be happy.

I wish I could give this dealership zero star. I went to buy a certified preowned Tucson from this dealership. I was told that I would have to pay $2k down payment over the listed price because that is the finance price. This dealership is fraudlent, dishonest, rude and unprofessional. The sales person talked so rudely and didnt answer my questions. On top of that, they charged me $1000 for certifying the car and adding the manufacture warranty to it which was a false claim as when I called hyundai, I was informed that the warranty transfers and does not have to be bought separately. I went back to the dealer and complained and was told by the manager that you have to purchase the warranty on a used car. After few days, I went back with a proof from hyundai website and spoke with the finance person, he said that you dont have to buy the warranty separately. When I talked to the manager, he backed off his words and said they never charged me for the warranty. On the receipt, they included that price in the vehicle price so I have no proof they charged me the fee for warranty. These people are a rip off. I would never go back. After a week of purchasing, white residue marks showed up on the black trim and I was told by the car wash that they are difficult to get rid of. I rest my case with God.

Staff was extremely laid back at this dealership. Our salesman wasn't rude, just took his time retrieving the keys. He was probably busy with other customers. However the place seemed empty when you went. None the less, he took us to see the car that we were interested in and was quite informative.

Terrible customer service.

Terrible customer service.
Went to see a car and couldn t agree on a price there got a call back and agreed on that price and said we would take it.
Dealer said the car was in service and as soon as it was out we could come down and do the paperwork and get it.....turns out the car sold to someone else while it was in for service.
Shady Dealership!! I would not recommend to anyone.
STAY AWAY!!

Great experience at dealership everyone was very helpful.. Our salesman WAS GOOD said all the right things and we purchased... since then it has come to our attention that they ran out credit over 8 times.. Even though we came with our loan already approved by MCU.... we where assured 3 times that they only wanted a credit application for there records and they would use the reference number from Mcu.... When we call to speak to someone the receptionist keeps telling us some will call back .. but no one has contacted us it been 2 week.. so i change my review to shady business .... but they already have our money so I GUESS THEY REALLY DONT CARE!!!!!

The really meaning of Under New Managment . Our first experience with Bay Ridge Hyundai with the previous managment last year was unsatisfactory. We are conscience of our contribution to the deal that was placed for us, however very little information and detail was provided without even mentioning customer service. Ray, Rohan and Raza were realistic and provided options to upgrading to a different vehicle. There was no sugar coating or unrealistic expectations set. Not only was it an immediate difference in personal but the service and friendliness provided with everyone at Bay Ridge Hyundai was amazing and changed how we felt towards them. We appreciate the customer service, advice and honesty. Thank you for assisting us on a New 2021 Hyundai SUV. This past weekend was memorable.

I was a previous Hyundai owner but did not have the same experience the first time at another dealership. Thank you guys for everything I am a forever customer!!!!! BEWARE: Engages in bait and switch tactics by posting vehicles on their website and other car search engines for an extremely low price to collect your information and get you to visit the dealership only to find out it was "just sold" or is "being serviced" with no known completion date. I confirmed with three different salesmen of the car's availability to test drive on two different occasions, only to be disappointed when I arrived and asked to consider another vehicle on the lot. Don't waste your time, just find a more reputable dealer who doesn't need to trick you into selecting from their inventory.

they told me that no bank approved me for the credit but after 3 weeks I received a letter from capital one bank saying that my credit application at bay ridge hyundai was approved. I dont know what was the reason of their lie. so please dont go there they will just run your credit for nothing and probably they will sell your identity to make money without doing anything.

Don't waste your time ... Dirty tables and cleanliness left me feeling that this was the kind of future service I could expect from them. The rep didn't have a Tuscon on the lot so he offered to look at the accountants Tuscon which was locked dirty and an older model. SERIOUSLY?!

I really like the experience I had coming to bay ridge, they are professional and well mannered. They ask questions and makes sure the customer is well satisfied with their service before leaving. Even after the staff checks in with their customers to make sure that they are well satisfied with the decisions they have made. David Mor and Raza (finance guy), did a wonderful job with my first car and when I am ready for the next car they will be getting my services again.

I recently got a 2016 Hyundai Tucson and I LOVE it! My sales man Marc Pharaon was AMAZING! I normally hate going into dealerships because i feel like I"m being followed by sales men or they are too pushy and this experience was the complete opposite! I told Mark what I like, looking to pay and what i wanted to put down and he and Peter worked their magic! Also I met Meghan who help me set up my blue link which might i add is the best feature to have! But beside that she was a pleasure to meet and walk my threw how to set up the blue link and the features. Overall the dealership is new, everything was clean, the staff were all great from the front desk girl (Vanessa) , Marc and finance! Defiantly recommend this dealership and Marc to anyone!

I usually drive by this dealership when im in bayridge and finally decided to stop in. Was looking for test drive the Hyundai Palisade but felt as though i was being pushed toward the smaller Santa Fe. The person helping me was very courteous and was not forceful at any part of our interaction. Ive been to other dealers which are so pushy they make you feel uncomfortable. Overall a decent experience

This has been an overall amazing experience. The sales representative Chris was very understanding and put all his time and effort on making shore everything went smoothly. The finance director Brian made shore I understood everything and answered all my questions and even gave me some great advice on my financials. When the time came that i needed a new car i dreaded the idea of going to dealerships to shop, well what a surprise Bay Ridge Hyundai was Chris greeted me as soon as i walked in and within minutes he know exactly what i was looking for and we were on our way on a test drive. when we got back i met with Iggy the manager and he got me to where i needed to be budget wise. about an hour later i left with my new Sonata i would recommend these guys to anyone what genuine guys made me feel like a friend not just another sale like another dealership i visited on staten island. go see them if your in the market for a new car you wont be disappointed

If you are buying a car New or Used go see Christopher Velez at Bay Ridge Hyundai. I went in to buy a car I saw online. Chris was straight forward, very helpful, patience and wanted to make sure the car was the right one for me and the deal was fair. They were accommodating to my needs as well (I needed to return a rental car so they held the purchased vehicle overnight for me)

I just want to say run, run, run. I am having the worse experience of my life! Starting from manny Perez the sales man. Sold me a car with multiple problems. After trying to reach him every day and him not returning my calls and acting nonchalant about the whole thing, I finally get my car into a shop (not their service center because they currently don't even have a service center) I wasn't offered a loaner at first but after 4 days of no work going back and fourth with them I was offered a loaner by the manager ignizio Giuffre who stated to call him by 12pm so he can set up a loaner. I called him several times and left messages but still no call from him still. Now on calling back and again I get the same response "they will look into it and call me back. I will update you on what is to follow.

So I just received a threatening phone call stating if I do not take down this review they will not fix the car. The call was from a receptionist not even the manager. I will report this to the bank and I have the call recorded.
