Worst Post Shop experience ever. Long queues and obstructive / unhelpful staff. Drove 30min across town last night to collect a Western Union Transfer, only to be declined on the basis that my Passport was not sufficient ID. I have been using Western Union happily for about 10 years with no problems. Was furious to have my time wasted, and i wouldn't waste yours either lol.

Always go there to sort any D/Ls, bills or sending stuff. Staff (I think named Matthew?) was great at helping me out.
Sure the line may be long sometimes but that goes to all other place when you go during their busy hours. Maybe try to avoid weekends and lunch time or after work times. Or ask one of the staff working when it s not busy and go then.

Great service received by one of the young champ zahid. I am a old guy with little knowledge about internet things. He helped me on Sunday to sent money to my grand daughter s account, who lives in Picton, as surprise birthday gift. He was polite, very helpful, tolerated my anger but showed me how to use banking in my mobile phone and sent money. Very happy to know that I don t have to go to branch for small things like this. But not happy about Kiwibank, doesn t expect cheques anymore. It is inconvenient for old people like me.

Please change the staff, untrained, giving wrong information. Lost my overseas courier, was given a reference number as my tracking number. Upon checking that number can t be tracked. I specially mentioned I need a tracking service. Still going through the hassle of recovery.

Went to the bank to simply ID myself so that I could start using my account. One of the staff - Zihad (already reviewed below few times) was extremely unhelpful, coming up with all sorts of reasons why my documentation isn't enough despite having what the official brochure prescribes. Don't waste your time coming to this branch, absolute outrage.

Worst Post Shop experience ever, but not because of staff. The reason for all problems and frustration is the place where is the post office situated. It is not absolutely suitable for the volume of people coming there. It is shame where staff has to work and customer have to come. It should be in the same way like office at Botany Downs or Albany.

The lines can be long. But today was worth the wait. I made a mistake on one of my postage bags so I threw it out. I went up to the counter to buy another and the staff their, Angel, she went out of her way to get that postage back from the bin, blanked out my scribbles and repacked and tapped up the package so neatly. She was a gem!!!

I talked to a man called *i believe to be called* Sam. He was extremely helpful and patient with me. I am only 19 and I had a few questions and I wasn t too sure what I was doing, but he explained everything to me very patiently and didn t show any fuss to explain very simple banking things to me that I was feeling uncertain on. Will definitely be returning to this branch again. They were awesome!

I used to work at the Paper Plus within the same precinct of the Post Shop and Kiwibank, and their customers were the absolute bane of my existence.
They were constantly rude and ungrateful, even to us at the Paper Plus side! Essentially expecting us to be spare Post staff when we had our own business to run, complaining to us that the line was long even at hours when they were the ONLY Post Shop open in Auckland and often being aggressive and violent to the point security had to be called.

I'm glad it's now shut down, you adult brats were never grateful for it being there in the first place and now you can cry about it being gone.

After waiting a good forty minutes line, I got to the counter with an hour and a half until closing, and was refused to open a new account because "it's not a good time" - great way to get new customers - Still keen to open an account but your people at Sylvia park need to get their act together. My advice to anyone going to this branch is DONT BOTHER.

Poor and difficulty service by Zihad tonight. My partner was simply trying to obtain a bank statement and it was like we had just asked the guy to do a marathon. Both my GF and the banking representative speak english as a second language and the first minute of the conversation was Zihad trying to convince his customer to go home and print the statement or wait for them to mail it to her because it, "depends on the paper." What he meant by this is it depends on how much paper is printed.

I finally had to interject and say, "she just wants a statement. Can't we just get a statement? It'll be less than 10 pieces of paper." He then asked with a frown if "this is a joint account". Probably because I had to speak up as he was basically trying to convince us to go home. I then explained that this is not a joint account and that we primarily use our joint account through ANZ therefore I know for a fact her account statement is only a few pages.

I then said, ""we just need a statement where you stamp each page and sign it,that's it." Then Zahid said, "we don't stamp each page." He then printed the statement and SIGNED EACH PAGE. Condescending staff. Immediately spoke to my partner about cancelling the accounts and switching banks. A 30 second task took about 5 minutes of arguing that ended up being the 30 second task we had went in for. Brutal

Very poor environment for post office staff and for customers.
The post office is extremely small and always overcrowded. Absolutely not suitable for the post services.
NZ Post should change it. Compare it with Botany Downs, which is similar shopping center, but it is way better.

would ve rated 0. the staff are so unbelievably useless and rude at this branch. went to post a passport to the UK passport office and get told that you cant send to a company..? it had to be a person...we said well put her majesty the queen and they laughed saying they dont know who that is?... (maybe they need educating on who is on the money they handle) our print out straight from the UK government passport website stated the EXACT address with post code, EVERYTHING that was required to send to the correct place, but no they wouldnt, and on asking where it should be sent then, they simply shrugged. should look into new staff that know what they re doing or atleast know how to be helpful.

The worst post shop in Auckland. Staff are rude and arrogant, they keep you waiting far too long and chat with one another as if you are not there when the queue is full. Absolutely terrible. Much better to try other local branches such as St Heliers, Glen Innes or as another reviewer recommended, Botany.

Trying to speak to someone telephonically proves to be a nightmare because no one answers the phone...I have tried at least 5 times today and only get a voicemail "Your correspondent is busy, etc etc etc" ... Annoying!

Worst post shop in Auckland, very curt and unpleasant. Went in a couple of times when the post shop was open but he chased us out shouting to us, telling us that we came after 6pm and refuse to serve us even though we already in line. Extremely rude and unfriendly.

Went there today, and the security asked my Husband to take off his Cap that he was wearing, and my husband was like, WHY? and the security says so that his face can be easily shown, and what the hell my husbands face was shown and everyone can see it, and also my husband was wearing a Tongan T-Shirt cos I am Tongan, and we are far far away from looking like robbers. So we moved on to the que, and some of the customers that was queing didn't agree with this kind of policy AT ALL. Also staff wasn't so helpful at all they were really rude. Please Please NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!!!!! Seriously.

Terrible staff at Sylvia Park. Try to go somewhere else. We came at 11, the lady said that she s busy doing post stuff and to book an appointment. We were the only ones in the calendar and she booked us at 2pm. When we came at 2pm she was busy with something else and then with other customers. Finally the only person that can do kiwibank stuff served us at 2.25pm after waiting for 30 minutes and didn t show a slight of remorse for disorganisation on her side. Terrible staff!
