Not enough room to relax at the table to eat. Tables are on top of each other. Very.. very loud cannot hear and to dark could not read the menu. The food was not up to $$$ price. Only reason 2 stars is because Staff was on point.

The food was great and it tastes good. Of course where it is located it's expensive. But the food is worth it with the big props it they come out with. And if your allergic to seafood. It might be one of the places you don't want to go to

It was a great evening !! We were visiting Los Angeles and my daughter wanted to try this restaurant so why not ! I was not expecting such amazing presentation combined with excellent food , I was thinking well my daughter wants the fun experience but the food will be bad, I was wrong excellent food, fun vibes, our server Christina was amazing, then we meet Adrianne the manager, and both of them were lovely . We had a blast the presentation is over the top amazing, drinks are super expensive but worth the experience. You must try this place if you are visiting Hollywood area !! Great job !!

Went for dinner for my sons birthday. As long as you keep ordering drinks they are on top of you. Ordered 2 salads, spinach, 2 mac N Cheese and one salmon and french fry trio. The fries, spinach and salads came out in a timely manor. there was at least a 30 minute gap to receive the 3 mains. (mac n cheese is one of there signature dishes should be available )
Ordered one dessert . Was terrible. When the waiter came by with the check we showed him that 85% was still there and we told him how bad it was, the classy thing to do is remove it from the bill.(He would have gotten a bigger tip, instead the rest got the money) he just joked around with us instead) When leaving I looked for management to express my thoughts and know one was there to be found,

Understand, this place is pricey. A novelty restaurant. I think I spent $400.00 CAD on dinner with my boyfriend. I had a fantastic time. It's worth going here once or twice for an extravagant experience. The dessert is the star of the show, More

We went here for a birthday dinner and had a lot of fun. The food was really good (a lot better than we were expecting based on other reviews). For both of us, we split the popcorn shrimp appetizer served in an actual popcorn machine, a steak which came with a ginormous fork, the fries sampler, and the Marie Antoinette cotton candy dessert. While the prices are definitely on the high end, the portions we're big and all of the food presentations look even cooler than the pictures. While we won't be coming back every week, we thought it was worth it for a special event or date night!

LOVE this place. Went for my birthday and for Christmas Eve dinner. Food is yummy, staff is awesome, but to experience the quirkiness is what it's all about. Would have given it 5 stars but there is barely room for the staff to walk by and they were all SUPER skinny. Expect to get bumped when people walk past but that ALL goes out the door with how nice the staff treats you. Super attentive and my pet peeve is having dirty dishes sit in front of me for to long and it was not an issue here. GREAT PLACE!!!!!

So, I loved the crazy ideas they had but it was very much a middle school science project on a low budget. Food was actually decent but again not quite up to par with the bill. Expect to get bumped around by servers , I got smacked in the head pretty good with the displays as did another of our party. Not trying to push people away from this experience but after roughly a $2,000 bill I'd expect less tables so servers can move more easily and higher quality props.

Quality Meals at this location - great. You won't be disappointed in the menu and service. Looking forward to coming back with my relatives. Bring your appetite because portions are large.

This place is beautiful! From the over the top dramatic food dishes, to the beautiful decor and our amazing host, this place is a must when in Hollywood! The food was cooked to perfection and dessert was amazing.

My family and I went to Barton G tonight. We made reservations and got seated right away. We ordered lobster pop tarts, bucket of bones, mac and cheese, lured by salmon, truffle fries and the Marie Antoinette cotton candy head. Everything was delicious. The waiter was on top of everything, brought our food right away, the bus boys wiped our table several times during the meal and replaced our silverware and plates for every course. It was an amazing experience. Our bill was $180 which was well worth the quality and quantity of food.

The presentations were over the top, but that's what you go for and I enjoyed it!! The food was delicious! Can you tell how much I love cotton candy, lol! Thanks Barton G for another great experience!

We decided to celebrate my friend's birthday last night at Barton G .
It was a very slow night, very mellow, we had a great table. Drinks were so much fun and pretty little expensive but so nice. Food was great, we were not expecting for the food to be so good. Bill was high but worth it. We met Adrian who came to our table to make the night even more fun. We had a blast , get your cameras ready this place is all about fun pictures! Great service , We will come back some day when in town

Excellent food, drinks, and service!
These guys really go above and beyond in every way. After our party of 15 was a full hour late (and even after the restaurant closed at 10pm) the manager still held everything open for us and treated us very well.
Very highly recommended.

If you love Hollywood dinners with a quirky-eccentric flair, Barton G is the place. Known for their amazing dinner presentations that deliver a WOW factor to both young and old. Cocktails & mocktinis that have dry ice flowing from the top of your glass. Famous for their Marie Antoinette cotton candy pink wig is so much fun.

Their appetizers outshine their entres. The steak entre is just ok & nothing to write home about. Almost a hard pass for me now. Stick to the appetizers like the lobster Pop tarts, popcorn shrimp and the list goes on.

Make reservations in advance if you can. Parking is valet or street parking. Barton G is not cheap. Cocktails run about $20 a glass. This restaurant definitely caters to adults, but you'll see families with young kids here too. And who knows, you might get seated next to a celebrity. I've sat next to a Beverly Hills Housewive, Charlie Sheen, etc. A must visit place!

Subpar Food & Discriminates Against The Disabled

Subpar Food & Discriminates Against The Disabled

If you are looking for over the top presentation, this is your place. I found Barton G to be uptight and snooty. The subpar quality of food and high prices did not help.

I was invited here about a month ago and because I am disabled with a service animal, was not allowed in the main dining room, separated from my party and placed apart from other patrons in a small closed off area.

I am amazed they let me use their restrooms for non disabled patrons.

I am glad someone else was paying for my meal, but I would NEVER set foot in Barton G again. I will gladly spend my own money a few steps away at Nobu, both for the food and nondiscrimination standards.

Took my wife here for her bday. Food was decent however the customers were so ghetto. Why have a dress code and consider your establishment "fine dining" when you just let anyone in. There were people wearing jeans and tennis shoes while dress code asked for "business casual". Plus loud music ruined the whole experience. I can say this will be the last time for us going there. Rather be at Dennys or applebees.

$100 .

i came here for a Birthday Celebration , and this place was great! From the food, servers, and the atmosphere was exceptional. We had nice size group, about 10 of us. I will admit I was little skeptical at first, being this was my first time here. No disappointments over here. We had a 3 course meal, our food items consist of: sweet corn hush puppies, ice wedge lettuce, Mac & cheese, shrimp & grits, AMAZING fried chicken (BOMB), and collard greens. For dessert we had key lime cheesecake bites, brownie s'mores bites, and butterscotch bourbon bacon mini cupcakes, and 3 drinks of your choice.

For my sons birthday, the waiter switched tables w/o giving us a heads up. Very rude!
I love the way the food comes out. Other that it was a fail!! Didnt feel the love that we were supposed to get & we spent a nice amount.

Went to Ruth Chris the next night and they went above and beyond!!!

Nearly one of the worst experiences I've had. I most definitely prefer the Miami Barton G to the LA. The music was way too loud. My wife and i both absolutely love the Miami one, we go for our anniversary or whenever we are in Miami visiting family. I took her to the LA one, for the first time, for her birthday. We were seated immediately, but it took 10mins for a waiter to come to us. Who asked if i had ever been to the Barton G, i responded "yes" and he didnt seem to believe me because he went on to list the entire menu. I then told him that its my wifes birthday and we came just to get the dessert that she loves. He then tells me that they cannot do that and that it in fact says you cannot only dine in just for dessert on the website. This is 100% false. I went to speak with a manager who proceeded to tell me the same thing. As a result we were just going to leave and possibly dine at a PF Changs. The manage then considered the happiness of my wife and seated us and had us served in spite of this made up policy they have, which i most certainly appreciated. We ordered drinks which tasted amazing. Our dessert then comes out "the chocolate treasure" looked great and my friends who have never been to a Barton G wanted to take a photo with the sparkler, but it had gone out, we asked the waiter for a new one for picture purposes, he declined. In Miami the asked if we wanted another before we even thought of it... the dessert did not hold up to the standard we have come to know from Miami. All in all the Miami Barton G seems like a totally different restaurant and puts the LA Barton G to shame

For elaborate, extravagant celebrations! This is an incredible place to have a birthday or graduation dinner. I came with a group of around 8 people and loved it, although it's definitely pricey. We ended up splitting the bill; it came up to about $50-60 each...and they require a group of more than 4 each have an entree so be careful if your group of friends is more the splitting food type like mine--that was kind of annoying. I highly recommend it as a one-time thing because it's definitely 80% the experience, 20% the food, but not worth the price-tag when there are so many other places in LA with superior cuisine. The experience that's special to Barton G. are the detailed presentations of all the appetizers, entrees, and desserts that the staff brings out. It's a special wow-factor, but you really only need to experience it once. The food is pretty good, but it's not about that, quite honestly. Still--look at the pictures of this place and you can't deny that you want to have the same experience!

Dinner reservations were at 7pm. My friend and i got seated right away. Place is small croweded but service was excellent. Yes waiters clean up your empty dishes right away but think about it?! Small place .. and very fancy presentation of plates equals.. take them off the tables quickly. !!! We had a good time and would love to go back

Steak was delicious.. sliders were the best. And the experience was amazing. Expect it to be small and crowded, but its part of the experience. Valet parking $10. Food is too expensive IMO but its worth the experience. My 6 yr old loved it!!! Great displays, and over the top props make it very entertaining. I didn't drink but wife did and she loved the martinis.

When I think of extravagance I think of Barton G. I'm pretty sure that's the purpose of the restaurant, so it only adds to the experience. This place will spark your curiosity with every dish that passes by. Aesthetically, from the floor to the ceiling, Barton G offers an interior design that would make Mariah Carey envious. The drinks come to the table like a science experiment, where you get the chance to mix them and watch them make smoke. Most of the drinks are too sweet, but one offered a nice mix of sweet and tangy (sadly I don't remember the name but it came on top of a framed photo alongside a giant diamond). Everything is served in an over the top manner, so don't be surprised when your yummy pop tarts to come with the toaster. As others have said the food was not the best. It was very subpar compared to the expectations the atmosphere sets and compared to other restaurants within that price range. This is the place you take a friend on a birthday strictly for the memories of the experience. If you want satisfying food by all means go a few doors down in either direction.

What an experience! I truly mean it...this was a culinary experience. It was great food with some out of this world presentation. Now I won t say the food was worth the price in its taste but because of the presentation and the great service this is definitely a place to try. I had the popcorn shrimp, the filet mignon with truffle fries and the lobster Mac and cheese. I don t think I d do the filet again but the other two were phenomenal.

Came here for a birthday dinner for the first time and it was honestly such a fun experience!! First impressions; the restaurant is super intimate and has great music, will definitely be coming back for a date night but it is also a super great place to come for special occasions and birthdays. The service was great and even though they were clearly busy on a Saturday night our server was really attentive and regularly checked in on us, everyone we encountered that worked there was super nice and courteous. The food; So we started out with a salad and a couple of appetizers for the table, we got the Barton G Chopped Salad which was so yummy and all of us loved, then we got the Lobster poptarts and bucket of bones which were both great, I loved the lobster poptarts and I'm really not a lobster kind of girl so that's saying a lot. For entrees my parents got the Tomahawk steak which was cooked perfectly and my brother and I shared the jerk chicken, which came out in a super cool bird cage with a funny video... definitely my favorite presentation for the night. For desserts we got the cotton candy head, the funnel cakes and the flan which came with the cutest chocolate cigars, and they brought out a sparkler with our dessert for my bro's bday!!. In all my family and I will definitely be returning for our next birthday and I would recommend this place to anyone looking to have a unique experience in LA!

The food was great but the presentation was literally larger than real life.. the oversized presentations were completely over the top. Drink presentations were incredible. Try the sliders. They come with an actual baseball bat a baseball glove and two mini burgers.

Went for my daughter's 11th birthday. It was over 100 degrees when we left home so I wore nice shorts and shirt but they put us in a side room because "no shorts in main room." They could have mention that when we made the reservation. Upon being seated, my daughter enthusiastically told the waiter "it's my birthday today!" I have never seen anyone not respond "happy birthday!" especially when you are the server and you are talking to an 11 year old. However this waiter pulled it off. He simply said "I'll get you the drink menu" I guess referring to the fancy $25 drinks that bubble and smoke. Who doesn't say happy birthday to a kid when they say it's their birthday?? So then we ordered appetizers but it was one of the few places I've been where the chef demands you order entrees at the same time. Wouldn't want to inconvenience the chef. I asked for a small side salad but was told they only have a $25 salad. I ordered that and my wife ordered for the kids. They were going to share but the waiter said they require everyone to have their own entree. Nothing like being made to feel cheap at a restaurant in front of your family and guest. We didn't need a full entree for my 8 year old and my 11 year old and simply wanted to share since there was no kids menu. Also, the prices were absolutely crazy high. Plus we were not drinking alcohol so I know they felt we were a low ticket table. Multiple people kept coming and asking can they take things away even though we were still working on them. I was getting irritated and said yes I want it I'm eating. Then someone snuck a plate away when I wasn't looking. I swear they wanted to turn over the table to the next party badly. When I got the check they asked to see an ID with my credit card. I have never seen this before. They must have a lot of Hollywood fraudster losers and broke people just sitting and not spending money for this to be the experience. First and last time here.
