Where they lack in punches of flavor and taste they more than make up for in ambiance and presentation. They definitely cater to the more feminine crowd with their dishes and displays but they do give big size portions so do not be fooled (and sometimes big size silverware as well)!

I would say the tastiest thing I ate were their donut looking breads that they offered as started of your meal. The flavors are not to say completely lacking but just a bit lackluster given the extravagance of their presentation.

This is definitely a place to take someone for any type of celebration. We saw a lot of birthdays and bachlorettes the night we came in.

PS-make a reservation to avoid a hangry wait time!

Yelp kind of ruined the experience at Barton G for me. Specifically, all the photos that were uploaded for the restaurants. Barton G has decent food but the wow factor was supposed to be all the over-the-top presentation of all the dishes. I already knew what to expect for all the dishes we ordered from looking at the picture so I wasn't impressed when everything came out.

The first course was popcorn shrimp. It came in a giant popcorn machine that sat on the table. The dish was okay but there was just not enough space on a table for 2 for the entire thing. Our entrees were about the same in size and it was so hard trying to eat when there's no room.

I got to try 3 entrees: lobster mac n cheese, short ribs, and the cod. The fish was my favorite dish of the night. The fish was perfectly cooked and the butter sauce was delicious. The short ribs was very tender and flavorful. The lobster mac n cheese was pretty cheesy.

The desserts was absurdly large. The brownie sundae had 6 pieces of brownies, 3 giant scoops of ice cream and topped with a mountain of whipped cream and chocolate sticks, chocolate rice crispies, and gold chocolate leaf. It's enough to feed an army.

Their drinks are just okay. They do have a decent wine selection. The price was quite exorbitant for pretty much everything. The cost per person was anywhere from $100-$200 depending on if you end up drinking or not. The food tasted great but I don't think I would be willing to pay that much for it.

Oveall, I would say skip it. For that kind of money, I would rather go to one of the better restaurants in LA.

The restaurant was charming and a lot of fun for everyone. Adults and children alike. Enjoyed the unique presentation of food and people would get up and go to other tables just to see what their food was presented like. Also, the service was exceptional! It was our first time dining there and I would highly recommend this to anyone including date nights, friends, birthday parties, and families.

I've never been more shocked in my entire life with a restaurant before. Truly one of a kind, and yes it's definitely worth all the hype... From the second you walk in, the restaurant is drenched in high end luxury. The food was really good, although pretty small portions, but that's how all these fancy restaurants are! I more so appreciate the effort and attention to detail within the food, the presentation, the waiters knowledge of the menu, and the fine print detailing. Our waiter was extremely accommodating and very helpful. All of the staff there were super nice and humorous. The whole experience was breathtaking. I highly recommend the "Laughing Bird Popcorn Shrimp", the "lobster and chicken pot pie", and the "slow braised short rib." In terms of cocktails, I loved the "Sabrinatini" it was sweet enough to enjoy and not taste the vodka all that much! In regards to desserts, we chose the "Dolla Dolla Bills", and to be completely honest was way too much for 3 people to finish. I'd say this dessert would feed 5 people at a very comfortable serving per person. I'm really impressed and overwhelmed with the complexity of this restaurant. Way to go Barton G!

Loved this place! Very very overpriced but it s definitely a pay for the experience type place and not somewhere you go every weekend. Great atmosphere and loved the decor. Will definitely be back for a special occasion!

The prices may be high but you definitely get what you pay for. I came with a party of 4 and we were all so full when we were finished we could barely order dessert, but we did. We ordered the Dolla Dolla Bills Ya'll which our incredibly kind waiter suggested and he was right it was delicious. The food was amazing, the presentation was astounding, and the staff was very nice. All in all would come back again any time.

Looking for something special you can't get anywhere else? Try this swanky, upscale restaurant with a flair that can only be called over the top and unusual. I wasn't successful in consuming my ribeye with the 4' fork it came with, but I was able to fit it into a photo with the help of the wait-staff. Beyond the "flair" this restaurant delivers on taste as well, the food was delicious and I was well taken care of by the bar staff. The manager even stopped by to make sure everything was as it should be. The cocktails were premium here as well.

honestly, it was fairly over priced for what it is, I guess you're paying for the view. I'd give it a 3.5 if I could. It is nice to watch the bay while eating. The chowder was solid, nothing to write home about, but fresh tasting. I'd go with an out of town friend only for the view (even if pricey).

Barton G is the quintessential mashup of Chucky Cheese meets the Cheesecake Factory with all the ambiance of 3rd rate Vegas casino. Think bored waiters, mindless and rude hostesses, overcooked and oversalted uninspired cuisine, and you have Barton G.

The location was very easy to find, and we were able to valet as well. The outside looked the same as most of the other restaurants on La Cienaga. When I first walked into this location it was nice, there was a person to greet you and show More

Great space. Very unique experience. A fusion of fine dining with entertaining presentation. Great for celebrations or a fun dining experience. Cameron was a fabulous host. She was attentive and always smiling. Including all the other "performers" that were part of the action.

I've been here several times and I have too say 3yrs. ago up until now I liked the food much better back 2-3yrs. ago. For starters the place is just too small they need to switch to a bigger location. But I understand that's probably what makes them so popular because the space is limited and its in the Beverly Hills Area so people just want to go because of that factor. Then the food quality has really went down. I guess they may feel like well we already have the volume of ppl so they don't put as much effort into it as they did 2-3yrs. ago. But its cool the popcorn shrimp is always amazing but I think this is the last time I'm getting the lobster mac and cheese. And the drinks get 5 stars super yummy overall the experience is fun for drinks with friends or nice outing with the family.

Did't like at all.To expensive.Dishes witch costs $30 -40 are nothing and not good at all.If you want to get something ok you have to order $70 and up for each person.also be ready for annoying
Waiters .Before I finished my meal they asked me 10 times if I'm done eating. And tried to take my dish away.Come on guys We were filling that they just want to get rid of us .In any other place you can get the same thing for a Half a price. What ever you order don't order that stupid sausage that they have(cheapest dish ( $30).Really gross.
After, you fill like you just came out from McDonald's with the same taste....

I could have sworn I've already rated this spot with the well deserved 5 stars, but apparently not - so a little late, but I've been to this place a couple of times and it never disappoints. I've had the nitrogen drinks, lobster pop tarts, popcorn shrimp, mac and cheese, sea bass and Thai chicken, bucket of bones, and funnel cakes for dessert (I don't normally order funnel cakes, but this was highly recommended by our wait staff, and it was a perfect end to the night. The food was so out of this world, I happily took leftovers, and it was in the leftovers I discovered how truly high quality the food is -- I asked for extra chocolate and caramel sauce to go, and after a night of refrigeration, it set up in a way that no processed sauce would congeal. If you're too full from the meal, just ask for a cup of the sauces for dessert. Everyone was so helpful and friendly, and it's such a treat for the eyes. This is a DESTINATION restaurant -- don't come here if you have somewhere to go afterwards; this is the entertainment and dinner in one. It's a great spot for birthdays or celebrating, just know they strictly enforce their dress code. Can't wait to go again :)

The restaurant is too tight. Also, the table is not sturdy. No room to move at all. With so many customers, only 1 at a time in the men restroom. The food is pricey, yet they are very creative. My daughter birthday candle burned out before I can take a picture. I asked them to relight it, they wouldn't do it. I didn't like how I was treated. Yet again, I am of Asian descendant. If you're not, you might have a better experience than me. I gave it 2 stars for the creativity of the foods. Specifically, the presentation. Bon appetit!

Food, service, and atmosphere was good. Make sure your phone is fully charged because everything from the drinks to the main course is art.
Some kids where there but not to many to take away from the adult atmosphere. The popcorn shrimp is very good. Spent about $435.00 with three poeple. The drinks are strong to dimond drinks is great.

Service was not that great, very pushy to order more stuff, food was not good , fish smelled and made us sick that night and day after . Menu is very limited , very cramped tables , decor is cheap but trying to convey glamorous feeling, Crowd was young tourists that were there for Hollywood buzz . Low quality for the expensive food with childish decor.
Won't go here again and don't recommend it.

Absolutely delicious food, very nice and professional staff, beautiful place! Bravo! All I was missing was a little bit of a background ambience music. But even without music it was great.

My boyfriend and I went here last night to celebrate our anniversary. Upon arrival, the outside decor was beautiful with an upscale vibe. Inside was very beautiful! The ambiance was great. We are seated for our 9:30pm reservation within a few minutes. Our server was attentive from the moment we sat until we departed.

I ordered my favorite drink, a Moscow Mule and it was AMAZING! I personally like my Mules gingery and it was just that! It came out on an oversized tray with a huge 'G'. This restaurant is known for it's over the top presentations so I was excited to see what else was to come. For entrees we have the Lobster Mac and Cheese and the Samurai Moonfish. My mac and cheese came out on a mouse trap and the fish came out with a samurai sword.

My only con is how many tables are in the restaurant and how close everyone is. That kinda takes away from the intimacy of the environment.

The overall experience was great and we plan to return again.

I selected the restaurant for my birthday. The meal presentation was awesome!!!! The lobster poptarts and peking chicken for 2 was delicious. The drinks I had were served with a lemon/sugar flavored vodka popsicle. The bread pudding was the best ever! The place is small, but quaint is good at times. The food is expensive, but worth it. I did not see the bill, but I estimate about 250-300 for dessert, 3 drinks, meal and app.
