Their food was amazing. Employees were super nice and good prices. The burnt ends are a must. The macaroni and cheese, green beans and sweet potato casserole were awesome. Everything was homemade and we'll definitely be going back.

This is some of the best BBQ. You are ever going to get. Everything is so good. Ribs, pulled pork, and beef brisket. It is all so good!! Then try the peach cobbler for desert it is to die for. Good prices and great service. You can't go wrong.Nice covered place with tables to eat outside too.

Bush's baked beans, plain potato salad, dry flavorless hush puppies, and to top it off a brisket sandwich that tasted like it was from a high school open house. Extremely small portions. Don't waste your time stopping here.

**This review is not in regards to the food. That part was incredible. This only refers to their covid protocols and practices.**

While the food was delicious, they are doing a very poor job what with the current pandemic. If you wish to eat out but feel nervous due to Covid, I would highly recommend avoiding this establishment. Despite the signs that enforce mask wearing, many employees were not wearing one themselves. One particular worker came out to restock barbecue sauce wearing the mask over her mouth only. She did not maintain 6 feet from customers. This blatantly ignores the fact that masks DO NOT work unless worn over both mouth and nose. It made me extremely nervous.
Additionally, there is a sneeze guard but an employee taking orders had his mask beneath his chin.

While I do appreciate the signs requiring masks, the fact that none of the actual employees were following the same rule expected of customers is disappointing and unsafe.

Ran into this place totally by chance driving from Norfolk to the OBX. Small town vibe and friendly staff. Basically a walk-up counter and they call you to grt your food in a Styrofoam container. Limited seating available indoors. The food was incredibly awesome! The pulled beef briscut was the best I've had outside of Texas! Hush puppies came to us hot and crispy outside. Sides of Mac and cheese, slaw, sweet potato casserole and baked beans were all delicious. Clearly a gem on the Aberlemarle Highway!

The food is pretty good.

There can be a long line, so we called ahead to order. When I got there, they made me wait in the ordering line to pick up my food. It was sitting there getting cold while I'm waiting behind others getting their fresh food. Don't take orders over the phone if you don't have a fast way to let them pick it up.

I probably will get my BBQ elsewhere.

The pulled pork sandwiches with South Carolina sauce were sooooo good! Notably, their side dishes were absolutely delicious, too! The sweet potato casserole, green beans, okra, and baked beans were clearly all homemade, freshly made, and absolutely killer. Wish we lived closer so I could try their other menu items. Definitely worth stopping here!

My first visit here was just about a week ago. Since then my family and I have come back 3 times. The food is so delicious and the staff is friendly and the service is super quick!!! 10/10 would recommend to anyone who is looking for a fantastic meal!!!

The barbecue sandwiches the large ones that my wife and I got had less than 2 oz of barbecue on them and a tiny teaspoonful of old tasting coleslaw. I felt like I got ripped off. Will never go back. The flavor was good, the portion was minute.

Great bbq, dine inside or outside at the Pavillion. Their Huge drink is really huge and doesn't fit easily in a car cup holder so plan ahead if you are planning on getting a drink to go. The line to order is out the door at times but the staff is pretty efficient at getting folks through the line.

Worth the Drive. Off season visit to the Outer Banks found all the coastal BBQ places closed. Luckily we got a great recommendation to go to Currituck. First off, we're not big fans of the vinegar style of BBQ, but no worries, they have a wide selection sauces. Chicken, and ribs were perfect. The pulled pork was a little to 'finely' cut up ... we prefer bigger chunks. As you can see from the pictures my belly sure liked this place :).

Currituck BBQ Company - the very best authentic local roadside restaurant we encountered on our 2015 NY-FL road trip! Food delicious (killer ribs and sweet potato casserole!), counter service quick and friendly, choice of seating indoors, outdoors under the sun or outdoors under the pavilion, and all surrounded by beautiful farmland. The retired firetruck on the grounds that kids were enjoying playing on was the icing on the cake!

One of the best BBQ places I've ever been to. So glad my friends and I got to experience this spot. We stopped by and placed a family meal of an order. We got everything from the pulled beef brisket, brisket burnet ends, rotisserie chicken, meat combos (1 of each of the 3), and some ribs. Now what sets this place apart is not only is the BBQ amazing the sides and sauces set the bar. Get the mac n cheese, baked beans, potato sales, hush puppies, and sweet potato casserole. The hush puppies had to be everyones favorite. Something about the crunchy exterior and warm cornbread had us all raving. The sauces here are no joke. Get all of them to sample. I personally like the South Carolina BBQ sauces. Something about the strong mustard and vinegar flavor made it delish. Honestly if we didn't have to drive 4 hours home we'd probably order more to go. The location is spotless and the staff has Covid conditions in place with social distancing. They also feature an open bench area outside for seating as well. This spot got really busy during lunch time, but don't expect a long wait. If you want authentic North Carolina BBQ this is your spot. They have great Southern entrees and sides

This place has great barbecue. It's been our go to place for lunch on our annual trip to the Outer Banks ever since we found it. All the food is good, the service is fast and the prices are pretty reasonable. As an added plus they have a huge covered outdoor pavilion which is great if you are traveling with pets.

You guys, support this local business!!!! I emailed the night before when my autistic son was planning to visit with his friends the next day. He has lots of food allergies. The manager Deanna, emailed me by 6am and called by around 9 to make entirely sure they were ready for him. He was able to enjoy a meal with his friends and feel safe and a part of things, thanks to their kindness and amazing service. We will definitely be back!!!

We have passed by this place I don t know how many times but stopped recently on a Saturday around noon because friends we were traveling with wanted to eat here. We were so glad we did! Don t let the unassuming appearance of this place fool you. The food was out of this world and the service was fast. It s some of the best Carolina bbq I ve ever had. Hush puppies, green beans and cole slaw were great, too. We will definitely be back.

BBQ at it's absolute best! Be sure to try the various sauces too. Fantastic, friendly staff.
If you like BBQ - Burnt Ends (keep repeating)

Used to be a great place. Ever since they expanded the dining room, the wait has been incredibly long and the food quality has gone down significantly. Okra is burned all the time. Brisket and pulled pork are dried out. I don t think it s the cook on the meat that s the issue. I suspect it sits at the pass for the majority of the wait time and dies there.

Came to see grave digger and stopped to eat. Saw great reviews but extremely disappointed. Portions are small. Order of fried had 12 fries exactly. Pulled brisket was soggy on the outside and dry in the middle. Not happy with this place.
