I experienced worst nightmare in BKK. I usually avoid riding taxis to avoid traffic jam and unmetered drivers. This time, we stayed at Marriott Sukhumvit because it seemed a good access for this trip. On our way to the airport, we decided to take a cab since the sky train had a problems and causing delay, Nearest exit 3 from the hotel at Thonglo station has some steps to escalator, raining quite hard, pedestrian walk was not suitable for suitcases. I was gonna call grab taxi, but the concierge as soon as we got on a cab, noticed the driver turned off the meter, acted like he did not understand English, took sometime to make him understand. International Airport. He said 700bahts including high way. I remember last time I paid around 400 on grab and maybe 500-550 bahts for cab from Asok, I called Mariott and the phone operator at the Mariott was nice enough to talk with the driver. But when the t axi driver handed the phone back to me, the phone operator at Marriott kept saying get off the cab now since he is no good. This suggestion did not seem to work with traffic jam and heavy rain. So I had to go for Plan B which I re-negotiated with a driver for price and took a picture ID of him. I said 500bahts and he kept saying 600bahts with highway toll fee. I called back the Mariott and asked the operator what she would think about the price and she said 600 is ok.
This cheap driver did not use highway and took 600 from me at the end. At least I was not alone and the driver did not drive away with luggages. Mariott bell captains should have made sure the meter was on and from now on they should take each driver's ID picture so that way the cab drivers who take guests from the hotel do not mess around Asian women travelers.

I put 4 star for the operator person for service. I really appreciate her help.

As far as the room, seems like other reviews are correct. I was excited about Thann products for amenities but the box was half open to begin with and it was not sure if it was a fresh one or not.

I would stay there again but will not ride taxi again from there.

The concierge told me that the sky train was inadequate and it would take time to get to the airport, and due to heavy rain, I took a taxi to the airport. As soon as the bell captain disappeared, the taxi driver suddenly changed. Pretend you don't understand English and reset the meter. It is said to be 700 baht to the airport. In my previous experience, by grab taxi
400 a little. I remembered that the taxi was a little over 500, so when I checked in, I called the hotel phone number I got at the front desk and asked the operator to talk to the taxi driver. However, she also recommends getting off the taxi right now, saying the driver is malicious. However, there was heavy rain and heavy traffic outside. There is no choice but to renegotiate the price. Taking a photo of the taxi driver's employee ID card with a photo makes the other person a little scared. In the end, the highway fee was stingy, the price was unsatisfactory, the 700 did not have to pay, the luggage was not taken, and I arrived at the airport. From the next time, I'm scared if I don't take the Grab taxi, ignoring the advice of the concierge. Be careful of taxis in Bangkok. The impression that Japanese people are ducks. Anyway, if you don't go bullish, you will be eaten.
From the hotel, in order for taxi guests to arrive safely at their destination, Bell Captain needs to confirm, especially in Bangkok, and in some cases took a picture of the driver's picture ID and what happened. This time I realized that I needed to make evidence for the time.
The breakfast was delicious, and the room was clean, aside from the beautiful design, so it's painful to give a dry score, but I had the experience I didn't want to experience the most. Bangkok taxis are disciplined because they have previously jumped from a taxi that started running near Wat Pho.

Great hotel to finish your vacation before flying back. Upscale hotel, clean room, staff trained to a foreign clientele. 30 minutes from BKK International Airport if the traffic does not play tricks. An exceptional rooftop: octave with conso in the 10 and a magnificent view of bangkok.

The selection of food in the buffet was disappointing. No oyster, Shrimps, Lobster, Crab just to mention a few. Only 3 choices of cheese where 1 of them was gone by 20.30, Marriot at Soi 2 is a much better choice.

Awesome hotel experience, I was extremely impressed with the facilities and friendliness of the staff. I was only here one night, and didn't get a chance to try to gym or swimming pool. But the lobby and room were both exceptional. I would highly recommend this hotel for a stay while in Bangkok. Due to the nature of the city, it's about 20 minutes to many wats, but you are only a few miles away. The very clean train is close by, and a cab ride is no more that 500 baht for almost anywhere in the city.

The hotel here is wonderful as I can't say anything.
The staff was more comfortable than the Japanese Marriott group. Too much.
Of course, convenience is good, but scenery is splendid.
Follow restaurant, bellboy and reception.
A good hotel.
It is impressive that the cake was delicious.
I stayed for 3 nights but ate 3 of them.
Because Bangkok is changing customers, supplements dropped yesterday have fallen after cleaning.
The direction of animety is also messy.
But I don't care about that.
With so many people coming in, I was impressed that the service was so great.
This stay in Bangkok is safe for all.
