In a town full of famous bakeries, this place stands out. The cupcakes were moist and flavorful and the frostings were light and creamy. I kind of gave up on cupcakes recently due to so many encounters with dry over sweatened desserts, but these cupcakes totally nailed it! We also picked up a few cookies, each were excellent! Will have to make his place a routine stop whenever I m in Georgetown!

Great place for cupcakes. Wide variety and an obvious favorite of the community because it's constantly packed. Maybe not great for trying to find seating but definitely worth a visit and a follow-up visit.

Great cupcakes. Definitely better that'll Georgetown Cupcakes. Very sweet though. One was definitely enough. I had the Razzmanian Devil, bite of heaven. The iced coffee was good, but I've had better.

Came here on a Sunday afternoon after a boat tour. There are separate lines for coffee and cupcakes, but both were only about 5min.

1. Cherry blossom cupcake (seasonal), 3.5
vanilla cake with maraschino cherries mixed in the batter and topped with a cherry-flavored buttercream
~Pretty good. I liked the cherries, and I thought the frosting wasn't too sweet. I'd probably get the strawberry if I come back.

2. Chai latte
~Okay. I'm not a huge fan of chai, but it was pretty good and on the stronger side.

Service was fast, but there's no wifi.

Finally got to visiting this place over the weekend, and while the lines were shorter than their overrated competitor down the road, their cupcakes are far superior. That said, one person on their wait staff was dismissive and appeared annoyed when asking what teas they had. I chalked this up to being a classic DC experience for my niece who visited from out of town.

I love the fact that it s clean, I GET OUT IN A TIMELY MANNER, and I m greeted with a good attitude and not some moody teenager like the ones at the Woodbridge location.
10/10 recommend going to this Bakery on your way to work in the mornings!

Awesome selection of delicious cupcakes, and very good coffee! Efficient line, too. You come in and line up for a cupcake and either pay for it right away or stand in line for coffee on the other side to pay for both later. This place is clearly popular but the wait was short for how many people were lined up.

Really good cupcakes and bars. Came to Georgetown to try the other place and when we asked for directions from Alexandria this place was recommended. Got on the METRO and met other locals and they recommended the same so we had to try both they were by far the best with 20 minute shorter wait. The others were pretty but you don't eat pretty

Forget Georgetown Cupcakes! All the locals know that Baked and Wired is THE spot for desserts. Which is unfortunate. Because the line can be looong. But it's always worth the wait. The cupcakes are not too sweet and have the perfect frosting to cake ratio, and they provide a cool and ever changing variety of flavors. All the other cookies, bars, pies, etc. are also perfection. Coffees are quite good too. Dont expect to stay there to eat, though, the shop is small and almost always packed. Get your goodies to go and enjoy them down by the waterfront.

Cupcakes are pretty good, but I special ordered a birthday cake that was very disappointing. It was Very dense with giant bubbles in the frosting and tasted stale. When I complained, I was told that the cake was fresh and that I must not have had "traditional style" cakes before!
To their credit, they did refund my money, but the birthday party was still ruined. We ended up throwing out the cake as no one wanted to eat it.
I'd stick with their cupcakes.

Love it! A very good place for chit chat over coffee and the cookies are excellent. When I go to George town I make it a point to go there for quick coffee and the best oatmeal cookie.

Coffee was solid but what kind of coffee shop doesn't have WiFi specially when the seating area is a massive dead zone. If you need the internet to get work done, don't come here. Either that or set up in the bar stool area in the front near the door.

My family and I were told that this place was better than Georgetown cupcakes. Not so! The strawberry cupcake I got here did not measure up to the lava fudge cupcake from Georgetown cupcake!

Always the perfect end to a day of shopping in Georgetown. My friends and I came here today and I tried the vegan cupcake. It was incredible! I'm not vegan, but my friend said it was delish and boy was she right. I usually think cake bread it bland, but this was so rich and there are choc chips in the cake bread itself. Not to mention its exquisite Oreo frosting. (I also learned Oreos are vegan btw).

Amazing cupcakes, generously sized and good value for money. I had the strawberry cupcake and the frosting on it is to die for. The queue was long when we arrived, but it moves quickly. This is helped by a separate counter at the back of the shop which serves beverages, meaning that each counter can focus on one aspect of the business. There is limited seating but high turnover, so you don't have to wait long to get a seat. There wasn't space to sit when my friend and I got our cupcakes, but by the time I had gotten my tea, there were a number of seats freed up.

The customer service was awful! We came on a Friday night and waited in line outside for about 20 minutes. Not a problem until we entered into the bakery. The woman who was taking orders continued to bark at customers to stay in a single line and wait outside as it was a fire hazard for people to wait inside. It would have been better to have a sign on the door and a rope partition provide to direct customers. This woman appeared like she hated her job and by the time we met her to take our order half of the desserts were no longer available . The fact that she had to verbally tell us what was no longer available appeared to exacerbate her bitchyness. Again if a sign was placed of what items were no longer available while we waited outside It would have been better for everyone. As we looked about at what was available the woman scoulded at us and asked us if we had made up our minds already! Annoyed about the entire experience we abruptly left.

Big selection of great cupcakes, I would consider them as cakes that is shaped like a cupcake as they are big. They have a verity of baked goods as well which changes daily/weekly. The staff are really nice and will help guide you when seen to be lost choosing. The atmosphere is funky for a cupcake shop and not so "refined" which gives it a nice unique vibe to the shop. Unfortunately wasn't as impressed with the coffee section as the coffee wasn't as expected. Must try for cupcake junkies.

Hands-down, my favorite coffee/bakery in DC! Lines get quite long on the weekend afternoons, but head over during the week, and you'll get that local coffee shop feel. You have to try the ice cream sandwiches in the summer, and the pumpkin donut muffins in the fall/winter. Love chilling on the comfy couches, or sitting outside when it's warm, with your feet hanging over the canal. Great food, both sweet and savory, great coffee, and great atmosphere.

This place is pretty cool, they have a massive selection of creative baked goods. If you want they'll put your coffee in a real cup which is quite nice. My espresso was burnt, but apparently that's not a common problem. The bacon chive and cheddar biscuit was incredible. I definitely recommend this place for breakfast or an after dinner cupcake.

These cupcakes are the truth! Homemade huge and good is how I would describe these. If you don't plan your visit you will be standing in a quick moving 20 minute line to get one if these delicacies. But the line speaks of how good they are. The German chocolate is the truth! I also enjoy the strawberry, pistachio, and carrot cake cupcakes.

Love love love everything about Baked & Wired. The long is almost always down and around the block and for good reason. The coffee and baked good are in competition to see which is more amazing. They always tie and I'm always the winner.

Personally, I think Baked and Wired makes better cupcakes than Georgetown Cupcakes (way overrated). The "wired" side has good coffee, and nitro cold brew. The baked side has unique cupcakes and a host of yummy baked goods. Definitely try the Beesting. Sooo good!

Great Place, Really Big and Delicious Cupcakes Of All Georgetown. They Even Have Vegetarian Cupcakes and Cookies Of All Kind. The Lounge Is Very Relaxing and Full Of Art From Local Artists. There Is Even A Wall Were If You Are Also Feeling Artsy You Can Pin Up A Napkin Art Of Your Very Own. I Rate This Place With 4 Stars Because The Coffee Even Tho It Tastes Great, The Cup Sizes and Togo Cups Are Not That Great. They Are Size Small and Are Almost As Expensive As A Starbucks Coffee.

No visit to DC is complete without a visit to Baked&Wired.

Baked goods are all handmade and small batch- velvety icing and dense cakey awesomeness. There is also a coffee bar adjacent-place orders separatley.

The food&bev is a solid 5/5 star but the interior is very minimalist. There is limited seating, but given the amount of people who come here they manage to keep the quality and taste to a high standard which is what matters most to me. Not a place to go and study. There's often a line (not as long as Georgetown Cupcakes) but they serve people very quickly. They had one vegan cupcake option at time of posting- Oreo icing and Chocolate cake- dense and delightful!
