It is hard to find items in DIY, decorating or gardening supplies that are not readily available in B&Q. The store is well laid out and items are easy to find but staff are very helpful if you cannot find something. Prices are reasonable so it is a good place to shop for your DIY needs.

You'd have to be there early as the queuing later on in the day is unbelievable

Always a good selection of goods, a bit pricey on some. Pity garden centre not open on level five as I needed fencing and trellis for a job. No click and collect.

NO CONTSCLTESS PAYMENT. The store is great had lots of what you need. They are falling down because they don t offer contactless payment. In this day and age this is a deal breaker. I don t carry my wallet anymore because contactless is in virtually any and every store now. This is what my 1 star is for. Change this and my review will change.

What a waste of time,, traveled a 4 hour round trip with tolls for a mitre saw it said online they had 3 in stock only to find out when I arrived that they don't have any in stock. Very unhelpful staff, uninterested with very little knowledge of what they sell.. is you want to waste some time in cork I suggest you go there!

Very bad customer service. Staff does not know anything about their products. No eye contact , no help offered. I just left everything what i picked in that store and will not come back because it was not first time.

So much cheaper than Woodies,got a 5ltr bucket of Ronseal varnish for 8,exact same bucket in Woodies was 24!!!!!!!! How???

Big giant warehouse but easily navigated. You'll most definitely find what you need here as they carry an extensive stock of all things DIY.

grand but quality of building materials poor and also a bit pricy however everything you would need is under one roof.

My last resort when my local DIY shop doesn't have an item. Still worth a regular visit for bargains.

Maybe some extra staff during summer periods , kept waiting for some time for a staff member at flooring and he told me he'd be a while ( no apology for this)as was with a couple who seemed to have him as a personal shopper. After 30 minutes of waiting I had a wonderful lady help me as the staff member who was called to help didn't appear, and this lady even rang her hubby( who works there too but on day off ) about how much flooring id need I couldn't thank her enough as my son who was with me has ASD/Aspergers was getting very impatient with the waiting..
So please more staff , more with better customer skills especially younger workers , I won't be returning to mahon B&Q anytime soon.

Very low stock in plumbing department. High prices compare to builders providers.

Staff didn't want to help ... when asked they sent me to another companys store even though they had it ,they were to lazy to look

Don t waste your time at this place. There are so many other establishments where you can get what you need. I was looking for supplies to build my furniture and when I asked for a 4x4 they looked at me like I had just grown a tail on my head.
There was only one woodcutter, who was conveniently off sick that day.
Anyway, they re utterly useless.

I visited the Cork branch today with my Father, to buy shelving boards. We found what we needed but the boards were over 6ft in length each, and we needed a bit of help with them. There was a male assistant nearby so I asked him for some help. He very kindly offered advice on the product and got us a trolly to move them. He also helped with accessories like brackets and nails. Then, he took the trolley with the boards to my car and proceeded to help us adjust the seats in the car to accommodate the long boards. His name is Conor, and he was more than helpful. He made our visit today very easy and gave us great customer service and attention. Thanks again Conor, you are a gentleman.

It's ok. Staff are friendly and helpful but not all have good knowledge and the restocking of products is poor.

They had everything I needed , a little more expensive than a builders providers , but as they're open until 8 all week they're well worth the extra cost !

Poor customer service. I have requested for cut timber which I bought from them it was wrong size after that I asked them To fix it ... they said machine is out of order which was working 5 min ago ... they said come back next morning.. I was waiting 3 hr to cut the timber but had to go back without cutting .. they had out of order sign but told me machine working fine but no trained staff also asked me why didn t I ring before come . So disappointed... as machine is not out of order and they guy who cut the timbre for me he said they don t have trained staff ... just lazy

Impressive array of DIY praphanalia ot all shapes and sizes. The staff are generally very helpful here unlike other well known DIY stores where the staff can never be found.

An awful lot of empty shelves. Looks like a place that is winding down for an eternal lockup.

It's a B & Q like any other. Quite useful for DIY. Particularly like the paint match service
