Food is good but they are constantly getting my order wrong. Today I ordered enchiladas verdes with lettuce, tomato, and sour cream. I only got the lettuce. Every time i get tacos i ask for corn tortillas, I get flour. Something is always wrong

That's only because they don't have a negative star. The food is over priced for certain items on menu and the taste is bland. I couldn't eat it. This is the first time I sat to eat, paid for the meal and had to go somewhere else to eat dinner.

Food was good. Gravy was cold so left it in the bowl it came in. Waiter was new but was able to get our orders correct. Had to ask for coffee and any thing else we wanted. Will go back had better service and none of the food I had was cold. We are a group of six that have been meeting here for several months on Sunday mornings

Great little find on our travels. I had expected it to be fast food type food. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of their food and their staff. It was a really nice restaurant and the food was delish! We both enjoyed it and will be back to try more of the menu.

I usually eat this type of food downtown and we ended up going here and I must say, Wow! Very delicious food made to order and from scratch! Service from Sylvia Was perfect, she was very attentive and brought us everything we needed in a hurry and with a smile. I had the menudo and chorizo plate. I Highly recommend this place. 10/10 I will come back

Worst margarita ever. Even though they have a drive thru the prices are of a sit down establishment. Food is served basic. An a la carte chicken taco had tortilla, chicken meat and grilled onion. No lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, sour cream etc. Nachos supreme had partially covered tortilla chip with bean, ground beef and cheese on top. A small dollop of sour cream and guacamole. That's it for $8.95. This is the 2nd time I have been here. 1st trip was just as bad but since it had just opened I thought it would improve. Wrong!!! Save your money and go somewhere else!

Never thought I'd eat at this place simply because I dont like the name. But after some friends invited me for lunch, I realized it's pretty good food. The charro beans are yummy and the asada tacos are decent. Not my favorite place for Mexican, but it will give you your fix if you arent near Lupe Tortilla.

Got sick from the food, not once, but twice. Avoid, if possible or have a strong constitution.

Overpriced food. A horrific custom taco option. No clear pricing for custom tacos on the menu. Underseasoned food. Terrible chips.

The only reason I am giving a second star is that I place a great deal of importance on good coffee. They have some of the best coffee a restaurant has ever served me.

The food is very good and prices are reasonable. It is a very pretty place but the ambiance is hurt by the their extremely LOUD main room which can be unbearable. Please invest in some soundproofing.

This was a great place to eat Mexican food!
The Enchiladas Verdes is one of the best that I've eaten. The salsa is just right in flavor and not to hot. And the chips are thin and crispy - you can't find these kind at the store.

Ordered the chicken soup with shredded chicken and it was delicious! Ask for homemade corn tortillas otherwise you won't get them. Service is decent.

The food is ok and a bit bland. They seem to try hard to be authentic, but misses by being incredibly bland. We were irritated with our waiter who forgot about us and talked with his friends sitting behind us. Forgot to bring chips. Forgot to refill. Just forgot. My husband ordered a wawarita, basically a margarita that they changed to wawarita. It was watered down and was used with a cheap mixer. It was overall a cheap tasting drink. Then found out when we got the bill it was $9. We will never be back.

Worst bar service. The Girl working the bar is the worst! Don t waste your time. Very poor management!

Great food! Love their fish tacos, chicken soup bean and cheese nachos are delicious so are the margaritas.

Great staff, food is always on point. Only reason its not 5 stars is due to drive thru has consistently missed adding cheese to order even when its paid for on the receipt. Once drive thru can be consistent, will probably change to 5 stars. Dropped to 2 stars since I went back and again the charged me for cheese and didn't add it. This is the 4th time in a row. Check your tacos if you ask for cheese.

The chicken breast was juicy and very tender. Even though I was given a knife, I didnt need it because you could cut it with a fork.rice and beans were good as well

This restaurant just updated their menus and the food choices are excellent.

All other Mexican food restaurants have a new standard to live up to. Everything was just a little better than any other Mexican restaurant. Congrats and please keep serving up the high quality food and service.

Didn't care for the fajitas. Salsa was just okay and not very spicy at all. Staff were nice.

UPDATE: So we've given Ay Chiwawa a few more chances and for the most part things have gotten better. I think Luis and the management are working to improve the restaurant. The food can still be hit or miss depending on what you order (I don't think the Al Pastor is done correctly, but the Enchiladas de Crema are tasty). Service is much improved and the staff are friendly and helpful. Moved my stars up from 3 to 4 and will hopefully be able to give them a 5 soon. Give them a try and honestly share your experience with the manager on staff. I think they truly want to be a great dining option for this area.

ORIGINAL: When we first moved to the area we ate here and had a good experience. Over the past few months we've been back another 3-4 times and now have just a 'meh' feeling. Our most recent visit was actually disappointing with cold food that wasn't plated well. Service has always been consistent good though, and the Happy Hour deals are good too.

Good food but dont order drinks. Went ordered a big margarita, severed in a small cup. At the end of it I discovered an alcohol spout was in the drink. I told the waitress and Managment or bartender never came to at least apologize....

Really good food and great prices. Took the family of four and ate for under $50. The frozen lime margaritas were delicious. They had the fine "snow" ice and the right amount of alcohol so it wasn't too strong or too sweet.

I ordered the beef fajita quesadilla, and a beef fajita taco. I enjoyed all the food along with the customary chips and salsa, though the only thing keeping me from a 5 is i felt the tacos might have been a little overpriced otherwise food was good, tables clean, and decent and proper spacing of guests.

Good food. Not the best but still very good. Came out fast and tasted fresh. Our server was very friendly.

Wait staff was a little gouging on ordering. "Not a kid quesadilla but not a 14 inch quesadilla" turned into two chicken tacos with cheese totaling more than the 14 inch quesadilla. And it wasn't what we wanted. Despite having few tables, hard to find our waiter. Drink and chip refills were slow and deliberate, which is the saddest thing ever.

Great food and the service is great also got the veterans discount.

The food was excellent and very generous portions! Our waiter was very pleasant. We are looking forward to going back on a warmer day to enjoy a signature cocktail and nachos on the patio!

I took my service dog in with us. It was me and my husband. My dog had her service vest on and I had my verification with me. She is an 8 lb poodle. I take a mat in that she lays down on. We always take a booth so she s not visible to those around us. She s trained to lay in place. She doesn t bark or beg. She stays still and in place next to me, as trained. The person in charge(I guess) asked us if I could put her on the floor. For food safety reasons. I said no. He insisted. I said I d never been asked to do that. What food safety were we endangering!! Instead of arguing, we said we would leave. He never asked why I couldn t place her on the floor. And really...most restaurant floors and under booths, are pretty nasty. My husband and his company goes through their drive thru alot. No more!!! No way to treat a person. You might want to view other reviews at this star level. Another person complained about a service dog issue. The owners must not look at these. Not much to choose from living in this area. I live here. Will voice my opinion to others out here. Food isn t great either. We just stopped there because it was convenient.

Good spot for a quick fix.. Best thing is the breakfast, not so much for dinner.. Just my opinion

Best Mexican food we've had since moving to Spring Branch area! We loved it and highly recommend Ay Chiwawa!

Best fajita's in town, love there selections and quality

Most of the food is good just not great. But the chips and salsa, and the puffy tacos are amazing! Service is great. Waiters and waitresses have all been good. Plenty of gluten free options but dairy free is more limited.
Had a waiter for a birthday party (I think his name was mathew???) And he was amazing. He handled all our crazy like a pro!

The best food of any type in the area. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Sometimes there is a wait but well worth it.

I am not a big fan. I've been here twice over a 6-month period and didn't like my food either time.

There food is amazing and their workers are very friendly. If you go there for breakfast I definitely recommend their pancakes.

Excellent Beef Parrilladas Fajitas... Very Tender and flavorful.

We stopped in for breakfast. Bacon and eggs & barbacoa tacos. Tortillas were a little thin. The tacos were filled.
