For lunch, I had the mixed fajitas and a puffy taco on the side. Everything can out in less than five minutes. Apparently microwaved, not fresh. Fajitas were dry, just warm and chicken was only thigh meat. Puffy taco was soggy, not crispy at all and had potatoes as filler. Chips and salsa were below average and tortillas were store bought. Service was poor. Had only one visit from my waiter. To top it all off, this was 16.00. Note that this was my second attempt here. Will never go back and do not recommend.

Food was great and arrived quickly. Service was sub par. Had to flag down a waitress to get a drink refill, then only got half a glass of warm tea with no ice. Once our plates arrived we didnt see our waitress again until we were done. I don't expect them to hover but at least check back once or twice. The table near us jad the same problem with the same waitress.

I love having a great Tex-Mex restaurant here in the country! I've been at the restaurant 4 times, but 2 times in particular I remember having the BEST waitresses who treated my mom and me like family. I enjoyed their customer service SO much that I left them handwritten compliments and told their managers. Try the key lime pie--it tastes homemade.

M-f 3-7 happy hours the stars only exist because the micheldas are delicious here but the food is not texmex is it more original mexican flavor less, but the fajitas were tough and sadly nothing exciting. wait time was 15min the food came out fast the servers were nice, we just wont come back unless it's just for drinks. they do have codigo at $15

Great Food and Great Service! Had a surprise birthday party at Ay Chiwawa on Saturday, December 28th in the private dining area. This area is typically used for general seating; however, there at two glass doors that can close this area off for private events. There was a reasonable minimum spend amount as it was a weekend night. Coordinated the party with Mauricio and Luis who were helpful and accommodating. Our dedicated servers were Francisco and Gloria, assisted by Luis and Joel. Everyone was very nice and attentive exceptional!

One of my new favorite places to go out to eat while in the Spring Branch area. It's one of the new restaurants in a developing shopping area.
The restaurant is a nice size with a rustic decorated feel to it.
We have tried a few items from the menu and each one has been good and something we would order again.
They of course have regular fajitas on the menu but they also have a fajita plate that doesn't come with all the normal fixings of fajitas but with rice and beans. The fajita steak is extremely good, very tender and amazing flavor. I have never considered a Mexican food place for a steak but you should definitely try this plate when wanting good steak.
The burritos are large and fully stuffed. The wawa burrito has a great blend of flavors. The Carne guisada burrito is one of my husbands favorite.
I would absolutely recommend the Enchiladas De Crema-2 chicken or beef enchiladas covered in delicious crema sauce and Mexican cheese.
The chips and salsa are also very good.
I hope my review has helped you decide try a new place.

Kitchen was slow, & it wasn't busy yet. But service was great! Chips, queso & salsa were not my favorites, but apps & entrees we ordered were good. Wawaritas were very good (also made by our server)! $9 for a good margarita in SAT-area is . Looking forward to coming back again & trying new dishes & drinks :)

Food was ok but not enough on the plate , for a meal. Service was very good. Most of food needs a little more seasoning except for the pinto beans. They were TOO salty and not enough for a serving.

The food is pretty good here, but the chicken soup and tortilla soups are the absolute best! I have had it a number of times and it never disappoints. My husband and I were both under the weather this week, and we went three times to pick up jumbo containers of soup. I also ordered chips and salsa when driving through and the chips were crispy, hot, and delicious. This is also a good place to come for breakfast.

Awful. If this place existed inside the 410 loop in San Antonio (where people expect higher quality Mexican food) the reviews would be muuuuch lower than they are already. Service was ok, waitress wasn't the most knowledgeable or easy to communicate with (which is ok, not knocking that too hard); the food was just sooooooooooo basic, prices weren't bad but the food just left soooo much to be desired. Not enough seasoning, just bland food that fits with what probably their market is (older Caucasian folks who wouldn't want real Mexican food anyways :/).

Staff was friendly and the drive thru is convenient. I had the nachos and they were pretty bland though with not many spices or flavors. Was the food bad? No, but would I go back for them a 2nd time? No

Great location, food was sub-par for the area. LOTS of Mexican food restaurants in the area, so to stand out it really has to be great. Service was so/so, drinks were safe, food was as expected. They have a couple of menu items where they venture out for something different, but just falls a little flat.

This is my second time there and to be honest, my last time. First time there I had greasy tasteless fish tacos. Had a free gift card so I thought I'd give them a second chance after hopefully getting their act together. Had the steak tampenqueno, one of their "signature" dishes..downright awful. Steak was like a thick chewy piece of fatty, grisly leather.. whatever red sauce they had on the cheese enchilada was equally nasty..best thing on my plate was the lettuce and chopped tomatoes..hard to mess that up. Please close and open up a shoe store and sell your steak there.

Their breakfast tacos are good and so we stop by relatively often, but we've just had too many orders messed up or items missing. Today was the final straw. Stopped by for lunch and ordered, among other items, two hard tacos with cheddar instead of queso fresco because I'm pregnant and can't eat that type of cheese. Got home and realized they only gave me one taco, so I loaded up the toddler and drove back to get the second taco. Reminded them that I needed cheddar instead of queso fresco. Got home, and the taco is made with queso fresco, so now I've made two trips there today and paid for a taco I didn't get the first time and can't eat the second time. My bad for not checking the dang taco before leaving the second time. Unfortunately this type of thing happens too often there. Don't think we'll be back.
