I will never buy another car from this dump ever again. They've went totally down hill from where I've known them to be. I feel the mechanics went joy riding in my 2016 Mustang GT (Manuel Shift), oppose to fixing the problem. Because that's the only thing they could ever tell me, that they've put extra miles on my car for "test drives". I took my car back to there shop at least 5 times. I even had to demand for management to get involved. This place needs to be shut down or outsource there service and repair dept. Their car salesmen are good though. Derrell Mimms been our family salesman for 20yrs. He'd be my only reason to ever return. But boy oh boy, when he retire, I'm retiring from this crappy place. I hate that it had to be this way, but I'm beyond upset. I feel like selling my car back to this dump.

It was an old tale that was brought up about what's the most crooked dealer service? I said it's Avis Ford from Southfield!
One of the college kids from LTU 2 years ago brought a '06 Ford Taurus for a bent tie rod and alignment, and somehow the service department managed to oversell many other unnecessary service, including but not limiting to: changing four dampers, all suspension bushings, rear stabilize bar ( when front end was damaged ) and they had the wonderful imagination even to change the transmission mounting!!!
Enough said. Just as bad as what I heard from those crooked shops in PA.
This dealership is amazing... Ingrid is my salesperson and she always get me right, helping me find the car for me... and shout out to Roy a manager at Avis ....he is also is super helpful. I even love that the quick lane department has fast service.
Shuttle driver was great, but the service center was less than desirable... They were unable to resolve all my issues.
I have been a customer for about 10 years & would not go anywhere else. The employees are very professional & courteous, and the new car's, service/quick lane department's are excellent too. I'll see them soon for my next service update! : )
Quick Lane at Avis Ford is a great service for their customers. Prompt & courteous service is the rule here. We have 3 vehicles that have all their routine maintenance done at Quick Lane and the staff is always helpful and offers individual attention with realistic time estimates. As a matter of fact, they are almost always done before the estimated time. Job done well & professionally!

Called their service department to schedule an appointment to have my front differential diagnosed, and they told me to take it to who put the differential in. I told them I have a 2008 Mercury Mountaineer and they suggested I take it to someone else smh this happened 2/2/16

I came in for 30,000 mile routine service and was out in about an hour (no appointment) . I consider that good. Polite, work seemed complete, got a clear review of thier checkup.
The only issue was what I considered an attempt to oversell service needs. At 30K, one has to question trans, coolant and steering service needs. I said No.

If you ever want to get ripped off this is the place to go. I dropped my truck off here for a oil change and alignment at 10a.m. they told me it will be a while so they shuttled me to my house after waiting all day for which no one called me, I called about 5 o'clock they tell me I need brakes, ball joints, sensors all and all about $800 worth of work so when I tell them never mind I want to come get my truck they tell me I owe them $40 and they didn't do anything I brought the truck in for (not even the oil change) Oh yeah the shuttle stops at 5p.m. so I don't have a ride there so I can't get my truck until tomorrow!!! Wasn't that convenient. Royal Oak Ford would never treat a customer like this but they were backed up this morning and I and I didn't want to wait until tomorrow isn't that ironic...

You can't beat the service of Frank Cianciolo. I was referred by a family member to Avis Ford and I am glad that I followed up the advice. I drove 40+ miles from my home to get the care and attention needed in leasing my new car. I showed up an hour an a half early for my appointment and that was no problem for Frank. He made the entire process easy and worry free from start to finish. If you are looking to get a Ford, go no further than Avis Ford. They have numerous sales representatives that have been working there for decades, which just goes to show they must be doing something right
Jerry Flint is the BEST! Worked with him in 2013 and returned in 2016 for my new lease. Your lot did not have what I was looking for (a specific colr inside and out with specific features) but Jerry found it and I'm expecting it this week. He worked the incentives and put us in the price range we were looking for for my new 2016 Titanium Edge. Will definitely be back next year for our daughter's first car!

Review for service department. I requested a 50,000 mile service on my car. They scheduled me an appointment. When I arrived the service department told me they don't do what I asked... So while the actual service was fine it wasn't at all what I wanted.
We've always had great service over the ten+ years with sales and service. With that said, no issue with Avis however we're waiting for Ford to recall our 2014 Escape. The engine coolant leaked into the engine and the engine had to be replaced. Ford asked for $9,000. to replace the engine. After a load of phone calls, ford erased $6,000. More phone calls, FMC submitted us a check for $500. toward our payment, and suggest we hold on to our paid receipts and wait for a recall. Ford Motor Company, 'Do the right thing for your customers and Dealers.'

Purchased a 2020 F250 through JZ at Avis about a month ago. Smooth, easy transaction with no mystery, no pressure and no drama. Its the second truck I have purchased with him as the sale contact, and the second time its been a great experience. Have another purchase coming up, and anticipate the same great service.
***Do not trust AVIS with your business***, the service department uses fraud to overcharge customers. In my experience with them, they made two attempts to push completely unnecessary costs into a simple repair scenario. Charges for services required: $461. Attempted charges for completely unnecessary services: Add an extra $106 (Duplicated diagnosis fee) and an extra $400 (Falsely stated that the tread depths for my tires were in red zone and replacement was needed).
My 2010 Mercury Milan broke down on 11/23/2012. While driving, the engine was cutting off, then after slowing to a stop, the car tugged against itself without pushing the gas pedal. This happened a couple times while driving past Avis, and was accompanied by the transmission and maintenance lights turning on.
The morning after I dropped off the vehicle, I received a call saying that they would charge one diagnosis fee to determine why the engine cut out, and ANOTHER diagnosis fee to determine why the engine light was on. My write up clearly stated that the engine light turned on at the same time the engine problem was occurring. Obviously, they are related to the same diagnosis, so only ONE fee should be charged.
Secondly, they said they measured my tread depths and that all 4 tires needed replacement. I just had my check up one week ago at Midas, and all of my tread depths measured GREEN.
I called them back and demanded only one diagnostic fee, and that they recheck their tread measurements. Mysteriously, the tread measurements were all within an acceptable range the second time around.
It pains me that dishonorable businesses like this exist, but I hope this has guided you away. Spread the word to promote and reward honest businesses.

I was served collection papers on vehicle Steven promised was taken care of months after I purchased a new car. and after reaching out to him he was confused and said not to worry. Well little did I know he did nothing besides curve my calls and issues. Service department is lazy

I tell him what I m looking for or find a vehicle on their lot. He provides me lease and retail options. I make my Decision and he will meet me early Saturday to close the deal. During Covid we did everything on line he talked me into a hybrid this year. Best decision I made. He brought the escape to my house traded vehicle and we were done. We had a great experience buying our new Ford Transit for our family. Our sales guy Lou searched the country for the perfect one for us and got it to us quicker than we could have imagined! He worked around our schedules and did a lot of the work ahead of the time and over the phone.

I called to get my new truck serviced from a recall notice in the mail. The receptionist in the sevice department and the one that answer the phone was very Rude. I simply ask a question about how long would it take to do the repairs. They act as if I said something wrong. I'm a first time Ford buyer,reluctantly. If this is the kind of treatment I'm going to get it will be the Last.

After bringing my truck to get the breaks done, it developed a squeak and the brakes stick just before stopping and again when starting back up. I have brought it in 3 more times to have them fix this, each time they replace the wrong parts charge me 100's of dollars and still the problem has not been fixed. Last time I bought it in, they told me they couldn't find a problem but yet my breaks squeaked the whole way home. They never even test drove it. I DO NOT RECOMMEND USING THEIR SERVICE DEPARTMENT!! Now they wont even return an email.

Just purchased a car from Avis. My sales guy, JeremyZ did a great job answering my questions and making the entire process easy for me. He took the time to show me all the features of the car before I drove away and the finance guy had all the paperwork ready to go when I arrived which made the whole process go smoothly. I had my prior car in for service a few months ago and that also was a good experience, the problem was fixed quickly and there was no issue with the work done.

Originally I started out with another dealer in another city (big mistake). After several weeks of receiving the run-around and unfulfilled promises, I decided to try Avis because it is nearby, and because I was determined to purchase a Ford Taurus. From the moment I walked through the door, I knew I had made the right decision and was in the right place. I was greeted cordially and professionally and escorted to the office of the individual with whom I requested a meeting. Mr. Williams was professional, courteous, to the point, and immediately found what I wanted. Mr. Flint then escorted me through the purchasing process, taking the time and making sure I received the best deal possible for the vehicle I wanted. His professional expertise and warm personality put me at ease and made the whole purchasing process go smoothly. What the other dealership was not able to accomplish in several weeks, Avis personnel accomplished in a matter of a few hours.
