Don t work here. What does it say about a company when the operations managers leave to go somewhere else. The new managers suck and do not know what they are doing. They tell you one thing and do another. They do not care about their employees. I was the employee who would come in at 5 am and leave at 6 pm everyday. I also would give up my Saturdays to make sure that there was coverage for the providers and members. If I could go around and talk to all employers I would advise not to use Avesis. They will fire you for no reason and if you feel something is not right and you bring it up to management they will fire you. Watch out fir the new supervisors and managers they do not have a clue on what they are doing. I could list their names but what would that prove. Again what does it tell u about a company when a manager leaves after 3 months and the other leaves shortly after beware. There are better companies out there. They wonder why they are always hiring hmm. Maybe time for new management

Mailed my vision claim reimbursement for 2018 to the company. They "lost" my claim. Round 2 this year, I've contacted the company via my member web portal to submit my documents electronically since it is 2019 and you would think that a company with 382 employees would have this function... The company can create member web portals and take money out of paychecks electronically but they still need members to print then mail in the reimbursement form? What a bogus way to operate. This should be unacceptable.

Have had their vision insurance for years. Lately they have switched labs to where the lab folks can't make my lens correctly. I have been without glasses for three months working off a 2 year old prescription. Avesis said that it's not their problem, yet it's their lab. They obviously haven't learned how to provide customer service

Will not cover any dental x-rays unless you file a grievance

This insurance company is complete trash. There information online is about as up to date as microsoft 95. The benefits are absolutely terrible. It honestly would be cheaper to just pay out of pocket for everything. Customer service was terrible as well. I switched to VSP and only then realized how god awful this insurance really is. VSP is great!!

We should be able to rate under stars for this company

Horrible experience with this company. They sent me the wrong card, I called in 5 times before my appointment every step of the way, they first told me I had to drive 25 miles to get the contacts... Then the store denied it because I had the wrong plan # on my card... Then after the exam and paying for everything, they denied the reimbursed. I called in EVERY STEP of the way to be diligent and they confirmed everything I was doing would be covered, then the final response was "we aren't liable for what the call center told you".

Only covers 1-2 star dentist and extremely unhelpful service when you call

This company needs to change their policies when it comes to giving vision providers the member ID number. I was able to verify plan number, D.O.B. Name all of those things but because I didn t know her address I was unable to get her member ID number... how are we suppose to bill your members correctly and diligently if you won t give us the member ID even though we ve verified everything else? This is a terrible way to do business and it wastes a lot of time for not only is but your customers. Please change your policy it s awful

I work for a vision provider and we have taken avesis for several years. hands down, it is one of the most difficult vision insurance companies to work with. Benefits are not straightforward and trying to file a claim electronically with this company is a straight-out joke! We are at the point now, where we are considering no longer taking avesis because they are so difficult to work with from every angle. maybe you guys should reach out to EYEMED or VSP to see how a real insurance company operates. This plan matrix garbage you guys have going on is a total joke.

No covered parking. Other than that i was only there 10 mins.
