Austin Vet Care at Central Park Review

Covid policies make it hard to review how my dog was treated. I wasn't allowed to go in with her so have no idea her treatment or how scared she was by me handing her over to a stranger and then walking out. It's very hard to explain to a stranger for treatment by a stranger over the phone.
She wasn't upset when she came out so I'm guessing they were nice to her and they were fair with their charges.
Also, sitting in a dark parking lot is scary for a woman alone....but no one got me so OK on that point too!

Take your pet anywhere else! Would not recommend to anyone. I waited at that office for over three hours. My dog is in a wheelchair and the vet could not answer any questions I had about the proper fit of his wheelchair. They finally told me my dog had a UTI and gave him an antibiotic that cost over $275.00. Two days later a different vet from that office called to tell me he was misdiagnosed and there was nothing wrong with him. It took a lot of arguing for them to finally agree to give me a refund of the antibiotics that I haven t used and agreed to give me $197.00 back. I went in and instead of the vet tech giving me a refund she charged me again for $197.00! And guaranteed it would be back in my account that day. It s been four days now and Austin Vet Care owes me $394.00 that is still not in my account. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AT THIS VET!

Wow, the number and type of positive reviews here certainly do seem fishy! Head on over to the other very popular rating site that begins with a "Y". You'll get some truth over there.

Very transparent with their pricing and great at communicating. Took great care of my Aussie girl, they pulled splinters out of her mouth and flushed her eye. Every other hospital said they wouldn t be able to perform surgery on her for several hours and this place said to bring her in as soon as possible. Dropped her off at 11pm and picked her up at 7am with all of the right medication.

Everyone was very welcoming and sweet to my dog and I. I was so grateful that they were open and got us right in on a Sunday morning. The cost was very reasonable.

Terrible customer service. Multiple times this facility has phoned me with additional costs tacked onto services my pets have received that were not communicated to me at time of payment - in fact, they have phoned my twice within the past 5 months explaining that they made a mistake at the time of payment and did not charge me enough. Additionally, their quality of service has gone down hill significantly in the past few years my pets have seen them. I will NEVER return to this facility.
