Austin Convention Center Reviews

Convenient place for multiple Expos, but parking should be across the street. Hard for vendors to load and unload. Like visitors, to access you must walk outside the building to the entry of interest as multiple events may be going on simultaneously.

Love this place! Beautiful building, comfortable conference areas and very close to all night life in the heart of Austin.

Security could be a little bet less uptight, but overall an enjoyable experience at this convention center. Parking nearby and a simple layout made navigation a breeze.

the farther up the convention center you go, the quicker the bathroom lines. tons of outlets for recharging everywhere, also tons of nooks on the balconies, so when you're all conferenced out, go get some fresh air somewhere!

Great place for the TCEA Convention and Expo with 14000+ attendees!

Great convention! The center handled 4000 people with no sweat and Procore did a phenomenal job. Can't wait to come back next year.

One of my favorite convention centers to sign at in one of my favorite cities! Staff is always wonderful and accommodating.

Went to RTX in 2014. It was alright but a bit crowded; what more can you expect from a convention?

The acc is always super accomodating to attendees and staff when I come here for rtx! Plenty of space, great venue for large events.

Great location for sxsw conference 2016. It is an incredibly huge space that doesn't show signs of bad upkeep at all.

This facility did an excellent job hosting the Openstack Summit. Well done Austin.

Workhuman conference was here and honestly the space was incredible!

It's a convention center. Cell signal can be difficult in some ballrooms.

Very spacious. Just recently went to Wizard Con and that was a treat. Great lighting.

Love this place. We go every year for a convention. They now have security at the doors which takes longer.

The main venue of South by Southwest held every March.
From the Japanese perspective, it is a very large and large conference center.
There is also a simple office center inside.
However, it may be more comfortable to have a meeting or work at a cafe at the Hilton Hotel next door.

Actually very nice venue but traffic and parking can be a bear.

Good basic convention place. Walking past homeless sucks.

Attended for RTX 2014 and loved it. The event was crowded but the venue was more than adequate. The temperature was well controlled. The exhibition halls were partitioned effectively. The building was aesthetically pleasing to me. The presentation rooms had plenty of space and the proper equipment (sound systems and projectors). The parking however was difficult to get a hold of. I had to go with another random parking provider in the area.

Once some issues with metal detectors and badges were solved it was a nice convention.

The center is very roomy and has no apparent flaws. It is a very good place to go for a convention or something of the sort.

I am a fan of the somewhat controversial architecture, and it is in a great location in the city with convenient rail service, but very limited parking. The venue is also less flexible than some other conference centers.

I have been to the Austin Convention Center for a dozen different events. Wear your comfortable sneakers if you are going to be there for 4 or more hours walking around. If you live in Leander or Cedar Park, the Austin MetroRail is super convenient and you can drop you at the convention center. Warning, there is no cell phone reception inside of ACC - put your device on airplane mode to conserve your battery. Also, if you bring a multi-outlet charging station with an extension cord, you will make lots of friends as there are very few electrical outlets inside of the convention center.

The configuration is ridiculous. One has to walk all around it to get somewhere. Poorly designed.

No parking attached so very hard for a handicap person to go here.

If you are there for a conference then you won't be disappointed. The place is large and mostly clean.

HUGE convention center, but the staff is always helpful when i get lost.

Went there for dream hack and it was pretty big, in location stuff was pricey

Find the vending machine and avoid the overpriced Cafe. They wanted 4.25 for a bottle of water at the cafe and the vending machine had Dasani for 1.50.

Was here for a week long conference. It's a pretty cool space with some nice balconies on some of the levels. The halls are pretty spacious.

Really nice . It's cool to just stop in grab some cold air and a cup of water while downtown

It's a convention centre so what can I say. It's huge. I'm sure it caters for my events so the experience is likely to differ depending on what you are there. Centrally located. Also beside the rail station. Connected to the Hilton hotel.

Great venue with great features. I've presented there twice now and it's been great each time.

Great place in Austin Downtown for all main events!

The Austin Convention Center is an awesome location for meetings. It was big and spacious. Everything was clean. The event that I attended was great. I really appreciate the convention center staff and their help. I look forward to working with them again in the future.

Excellent place for exhibition of companies with new items

Way too big. We need to repurpose some of this space to meet the needs of Austin's indigent citizens, not a bunch of out of towners selling more STUFF. That's if we really care. 164 average sized houses would fit in there. But Council wants another notch on their Legacy Belts.

I'm in the ACC every spring for SXSW and the fall for NIWeek. The Convention Center staff is incredibly helpful and the surroundings make any conference nice to go to.

As a speaker for conventions and meetings and events, I will rate it based on that. It is huge, but it is easier to find rooms than Henry B. in SA. A few less amenities than other facilities. No tables of water, for example. And the walls between the 4th floor meeting rooms are temporary, thin, and bleed sound. That said, this is a great location to speak at. The tech is usually good and there are lots of spaces to meet up and do some work.

Aircondition was set too aggressive - it was hot outside and chilly (read freezing) inside. Does not make sense money wise or environment wise - you had to go there in speedo's, but wear full clothes AND a jacket inside ACC

Come here during RTX in the summer... you'll meet some awesome people.

Attended the Title III Symposium for Educators, Administrators, Directors, etc. Great facility, clean, organized. Perfect location, hotels all around for easy access to the convention. Must take a sweater, really cold when you are in trainings.

I have been to the Austin Convention Center for many events. It feels nice and is always clean in there.

Came to see Terry Virts and enjoyed the place very nice
