Visited during SXSW. Gave it four stars because we had gotten lost within the convention center looking for the area we needed to go. Did a lot of walking to get from one end to the other.

One of our favorite places to visit and convention. Tip: Bring your own breakfast and coffee. Only 1 venue and that doesn t open until 8am or so.
Attended NIWeek here in May 2017. Facilities and catering services were great, and the WiFi was super fast and reliable.
It s a convention center, but always kept clean and overall staff within the center have been helpful.
Very cold! Everyone, including the staff, had on heavy coats.
Huge space, very capable for hosting almost any event
Gigantic, cavernous, colossal, vast, enormous, immense, mammoth, massive, gargantuan, brobdingnagian, and titanic all describe the Austin Convention Center. I seriously believe you could comfortably fit a quarter million adult-sized people into this facility. Very clean, nice and cool, adequate bathroom facilities, huge ballrooms, good WiFi signal, the very definition of what a convention center should be. Needs more tables and chairs scattered around. Wear comfortable walking shoes, you will get 5000-10000 steps a day here going to a conference.
Love this unique meeting space specially during SXSW.
Very large convention center. Was here for the AGT open auditions, 2016. It was a good experience! No complaints about the facility.
This convention center is very nice, a/c is kept nice and cool, there are plenty of bathroom facilities. The only drawback is that the parking facility is two books away. Bring your walking shoes, lovely restaurants in the area.
Staff are always friendly and helpful during events.
@ stars for a good interior and being in walking distance to other facilities. Loses 2 stars for poor parking. They share two garages with other surrounding buildings. During the work day - this means next to no parking and getting a shuttle to ANOTHER convention center a mile away with loads of parking. Planners: just use that one instead, especially for locally trafficked events where people are driving in? Or better yet - Dallas.
And loses the 5th star for Austin protesting. 5pm as a convention rolls out and a huge un-permitted protest tools through jamming up traffic in all directions for miles at the peak of traffic + a convention. Remember I was shuttled a mile away? Ya, ended up getting off the shuttle and walking...and beat the shuttle by 5 minutes.
I go to NI WEEK every year and this place is amazing. It hosts, caters for and runs the whole logistics show and they never miss a trick. If you need an event, really consider them.
Lovely faculty. Road a beautiful elevator. Nice big space. People for entrance to the RV show were very nice.
Modern, giant convention space in the heart of Austin.
Attended for a show. Good place and that too in downtown, Austin! Cool.
I haven't been to Austin Record Convention at this location for years when this newer location was added I don't know what the costs of dealers & customers were going to be but I heard the additional fees were high & finally the promoters
were able to secure an agreement for this sight again, & I hope to be able to come back again the music selection & the vast amounts of
people & cultures & food make this
my first choice to go to the climate & the laid back atmosphere & warm greetings from people is outstanding !!!!!
Thus is a good place for just about any event, there is lots of food places close that u can walk 2 ,lots of parking and I've always seen security personnel walking around. I've been here at least 7 times 4 different events and was never disappointed
Lucked up on an African American film festival. Short film "Unarmed" was fantastic think piece. Got to meet the film maker Krystal Bolden and an actor in the film during Q&A.
Great venue with great features. I've presented there twice now and it's been great each time.
I work there so I see a lot if celebrities and enjoy setting up for them as well.
Beautiful convention center!! The walk ways from the connecting hotels to the convention center is sooo cool!!
Very clean and run well, but beware not all the escalators or elevators lead to every floor. They are clearly marked but please take a moment to read the gigantic signs! I have been there several times over the years and I have to explain it to a lot of new people who get angry and frustrated. A/C is great in the summer and the balconies up on the high floors are lovely if you want to get some fresh air and see a beautiful Austin skyline view!
This venue was perfect. I've attended the Keller Williams convention for the past 5 years at this location. This place is great.
Wide open space there. Parking garage is about a block away.
Been here many times. Parking is a problem for bigger trucks.
Wonderful size building for events. Located around food and other sites.
I go to Innotech every year, it's a great deal. Too bad there is so much construction in that area.
Clean well maintained facilities that are convenient
I'm a union iron worker and we are currently building the high rise going up on ceazer chaves right next to the Austin convention center.
It s a very nice building and serves its purpose. But I honestly just hate Austin. Parking for it isn t easy and you really do have to hike to get decent parking for the convention center. Overall I liked the building just not the location.
I love that the Fairmont has a crossway to the convention center
Confusing layout and varying room temperatures but the staff was great.
Very spacious convention center with great amenities.
Freezing cold.... Very uncomfortable, cannot concentrate and making people sick.
Convention centre, typical but not enough washrooms.
Easy to get to. Big enough for lots of exhibits but not too much walking.
It's is really good location, restaurants are close by and close to hotels.
Pretty nice place, I took my little brother here for a walking with dinosaurs type event. Parking was kinda tough but I'd recommend getting there early for a good spot.
Parking could be better but it is downtown so I'm not knocking it, very nice convention center.
I went here for the Rooster Teeth convention and loved it there!!! Can't wait for next year!
Large beautiful facility located perfectly. Enjoyed the two SXSW Edu conferences I attended.
Really useful for what it is. I have done events for SXSW as well as AFW here and the roller-girls derbies and have no real complaints. Very clean and spacious, of course. Comfy chairs in the main area.
Great place to have events. I like they have a lot of outlets in the common area to charge my phone if I'm downtown. I will just go in and sit in the AC for a little while. They also usually have free water in the containers available.
I always enjoy coming to this venue for whatever purpose. Its always clean, safe, and offers lots of in house amenities.
The convention center is really clean and well maintained. The Staff are really fast and professional when filling water, checking badges, catering food, etc.
Cool convention venue with lots of amenities and services. Everything was properly labeled and venue was huge. Hope to back next year.
We had a lot of fun at SXSW Gaming. So glad they have these kinds of events here.
I was here for TCEA 2017 which is a yearly tech conference. It is a lot of walking here so make sure to bring comfy shoes if possible. The mezzanine levels are very tricky to find so make sure to allow extra time if you have a session in those. Other than that, it's in the perfect location and good restaurants are in walking distance.
The traffic situation around the ACC is horrendous, as are the parking options. The facility itself is nice and spacious, but the overall inconvenience of attending anything there tempers any excitement.
Has always been clean and well maintained. The three events I've attended to date have been well put together and easy to navigate. Staff I've encountered have been professional and helpful if needed.
I only really know the convention center from SXSW but it is a great place to host a variety of events. And the staff I talked with were super friendly
Large, clean. It's a little difficult getting around, possibly because there was so much going on. The staff was nice at SXSW. Seemed better than other convention centers I've been to. Hard to catch an UBER/LYFT outside... better to walk a few blocks.
Great space, plenty of bathrooms. Big presenter rooms with TVs on the side so you can see the PowerPoint from the further back rows. I also liked the digital signs with agendas outside the meeting rooms.
Since it's so big, I think more signs would help. Getting upstairs can be a little confusing. I wanted more exercise so instead of the escalator I took the stairs, but ended up in a separate section that seemed like it was the administrative area.
Easy in easy out for truck drivers. Courteous attendants, police are great too to guide you where to go.. The convention center itself.. Ample parking in the city for events.. Easy in, easy out from the highway..
Was there during SXSW 2017. What should I say? Mind-blowing festival with a breath-taking shedule. Thank you Austin & everyone involved!
