Loved the place.. convention center is quite big than expected. It's in nice locality.. 6th Street is my fav place in Austin..
The Austin Convention Center is impressive. Here's why:
1) It's HUGE but easy to navigate. Signage is clear and there are many exits out into the world.
2) It's centrally located in downtown Austin near all the best bars, restaurants, and hotels.
3) It's clean.
4) There's strong, free wifi.
5) There's balcony seating on most floors with a great view of the city.
If you're looking to host a big event, the Austin Convention Center is one of the best in America.
Security needs to be educated on reentry for people with credintials.
Excellent!! Beautiful in architecture !! Fantastic art and decoration !!
Here is where I was Monday Morning on August 28, 2017
We went to the Home & Garden show. There were more cooking shows and trinket vendors than anything else it seemed...and all of the vendors hawking $%% off if you give us your address and phone #. Could well lead to phone spam hell.
Somewhat hard to find different rooms, but the space was large, clean, and employees were very helpful.
great location in a great city - clean facilities, lots of natural light and a variety of space to use. highly recommend for an event or expo!
Really Google you going to make me rate this thing twice and repeat the fact that the construction sucks... fine
Attended the Title III Symposium for Educators, Administrators, Directors, etc. Great facility, clean, organized. Perfect location, hotels all around for easy access to the convention. Must take a sweater, really cold when you are in trainings.
Well done convention center, but minimal parking for a large event so make sure yo get there early for parking or prepare to pay per hour at public parking and walk a couple blocks to the center.
Great place for events. Nice space. Many restroom locations on all levels! Escalator and elevators and clean.
Thoroughly enjoyed attending convention here. Austin is a great city and the convention center is a jewel.
Ok as far as convention centres go! At least this one is pretty central.
Not a bad place. Was there for spiceworld. Looks like a lot happens there.
Amazing convention center with restrooms conveniently placed everywhere. Very large so I recommend this establishment for massive expos and conventions.
Great convention center, been to many different conferences here large and small, everything is well polished and even happy hour they use local beer. Its a large place but thats the point, surrounding neighborhood is abit rich but there are nice food choices, parking is ok also but a bit of walking.
Nice place for conferences. Rooms all on one level. Comfortable seating with great air conditioning.
Restrooms are far apart and too small for the amount of people. Elevators broken on the busiest week of the year. Parking option is a full parking garage. Just my experience.
Great place for a trade show. Parking can be tough.
5 dollars for a bottle of water. No water fountains. No outside food or drink allowed, and enforced by security at the events. I dont know about you but I would rather die than pay $5 for a bottle of water. DIE. I left with a dehydration head ache which is my fault I know, but I just could not bring myself to do it. So I paid the pric .
SXSW is coming and thats the usual time I go out there to check out the games at the arcade, always a lot of fun
Had a robotics competition here, it was a great venue, and it had wifi. The staff there are not as mean as other convention centers.
Very well set up. Worked great for the number if us that were there and there were thousands of us.
Perfect temperature... unfortunately I couldn't find neither penguins or polar bears
Went here for a 4 day conference and if another conference is hosted here again I would definitely consider it again. Plenty of restaurants and hotels nearby so that you don't need to rent a car if attending a conference here.
Huge convention center with all the facilities you need.
One of the best places to attend a trade show or convention. The city is a perfect size, compared to those in Vegas.
street paid parking, not expensive, building temp was good for RV event
RTX was awesome but the convention security was not. Anytime you left the main floor you had to go through a TSA type screening which had a huge line. Seriously this does nothing for security. If you want to do this do it BEFORE people enter the building not before they enter a specific room.
Visited during SXSW. Gave it four stars because we had gotten lost within the convention center looking for the area we needed to go. Did a lot of walking to get from one end to the other.
Great place and infrastructure for conventions. In the heart of the city and close to a lot of facilities.
Visit this place several times a year for work related conferences
Excellent place for events with large numbers of people. We had over 10,000 and the girls and parking were conveniently located. The cafes inside had vegan options, too.
The convention center is a good size for large events or multiple small ones. Food and drink selection is nice but you can expect to pay a premium. Conveniently located downtown easy walking distance to sixth street or lots of area restaurants. MetroRail station is right there.
Went here for the first time for SXSW and was impressed with the space. It's laid out in a way that even with a ton of people in there it feels spacious. All people we encountered were friendly enough and they let us stay after it was over when it was raining outside.
Very big convention center. Parking around is not too bad and can be $5-15.
Comic con was great to your heroes in real life I was so nervous meet all the ladies who brought my video game heroes to life
The Convention Center is functional. However, the exterior leaves much to be desired. It s oftentimes a ghost town, and would benefit from streetfront uses, such as restaurants, bars, retail, and so on.
The ACC is centrally located. Various hotels are nearby and the controversial Austin train stops in front of it. In the ACC there are reasonable toilets and all corridors can be reached via elevator and escalator
Now that the new Fairmont hotel is connected to it by a pedestrian bridge it is so much more accessible. Convention center is clean. Bathrooms are easy to find and Clean and the air conditioning is really cold which feels good in Texas triple digits.
Pretty good venue. On site food options are pricey for what you get.
Big place. Not a lot of power though. Lots of places nearby to eat and drink so convention goers will enjoy it.
Excellent place for your activities, here you can get what you want for your activity at excellent prices.
Big big venue with good service and amenities, very convenient to downtown Austin and transportation.
