Great place far away from town with a huge property for a days plan mainly mediation center lot if plantation to look at shopping area open theater and a good place to have a coffee and mainly the special cake

The visitors centre is really cool , if you love gaining knowledge and just lay back and chill , the entry is totally free and you get to shop real cool stuff made inside auroville by the residents , you also get to taste some natural home made icecreams and beverages

In a league of its own. Very peaceful place. Must visit in Pondicherry.

This is the 1st place every visitor is dropped at... there are 4 cafes , 3 boutiques , a cycle rental shop and a visitor info centre... i recommend u all to familiarize urself with the visitor s centre , buy a map , rent a cycle & grab a hydrating drink of choice befpre you set off to exprole Auroville on ur wheels ....

Nice visitors center, but most of it just seems books on The Mother's and Sri Aurobundo's words. Also it's a shame you have to register to visit the Matri Mandir.

Loved it if you visit Pondicherry this is must place

This place is also over rated , people are not properly treated by the staff of the auroville, no proper drinking water facility for tourists,but the washrooms are very clean and we'll maintained

Peaceful place.. Visit this place in the morning or evening.. In summer it's too hot.

Very poor response.... there is no hospitality for the visitors.... I visited here with my family including two infants... suffered a lot.

Very disappointing Have to plan a week we have to apply for permission to visit meditation globe personally 2 -3 days in advance. Walk a lot.

Just ok. when we went their they didn't allowed us to go inside.

A display of the concept and a model of the temple is kept. a continuous video on the facility runs in a room which can be seen by the visitors. The merchandise kept in the facility are extremely expensive. Well maintained greenery. People of many countries are seen.

Auroville as name suggests place of peace and meditaion.
Place where u will feel fresh air and noiseless place. Fresh air will rejenuvate your mind and soul.
1 km of walk to this point is mind freshing.

Neatly maintained. You can't visit the golden globe without prior booking. And you have to book one day in advance.

It's a serene township nestled among lush green trees and positioned in well- attended beautiful gardens. It a has view point from where the Matrimandir can be seen, a spectacular and rather interesting piece of architecture. The little amphitheatre at the entrance of the visitors center displays the entire story behind this township and the philosophy of this entire place. If you want to cut off and experience the calm of the place, spending a couple days is a good option.

It is built among lots of trees. A good walk experience among the trees. I didn't see the matrimandir from inside as you have to take a prior appointment for it. But I'm sure it will be very peaceful there.

Nice place. Calm clean. Perfect for meditation. Only thing if we could get inside Matrimandir.

Nice to see once, But it is bit away from the pass counter or visitor information center.

Everyone must know that such a place even exists. I am really astonished by their effort to plant around a million trees within a area where once even a drop of water was not present. Please spend some time to visit this place and know that for yourself

Arrangement good but video was very bad ... not visible... not audible ... no control on entry ... needs some more direction boards...

Great experience but I think the management should allow people to visit Matrimandir and Amphitheatre (They are restricted for public).

A calm place, the area is extremely well maintained and is a beautiful place to visit. There is no fee to enter this place. But keep in mind, you have to walk a lot to reach this place if u don't get a bus.

Welcoming staff and good displays, videos. Perhaps more information on the actual situation currently. Good information about the history and ideals.

it's a nice place to visit but you to book in advance to enter the main matrimandir otherwise you can see from some distance

There is a museum inside it. The museum is charming. A free pass for Matrimandir is issued from here. One has to pass through this to go to the Matrimandir and return. There are restaurants here and the staffs are very helpful with nice behaviour.

You can go inside the globe only if it's pre booked. And without booking you will be seeing the globe from long distance.

Need to walk a lot but it's worth to see every place here.

Nice place to visit if you love nature and meditation

No proper response from the people working there, tickets can't be taken in advance have to wait until 9:30am and watching the bore video is mandatory. Need to walk atleast a km till see the maitrimandir, Plus you can only see the maitrimandir from a distance place not a worth place.

A great place , only the timings weren't mentioned properly which is why did tend to bump into it many times but could not get in.
Any how on usual days it's open till 6pm
And on Sundays it does shut down @1.

(We had been there a week ago so based on that, these are the current timings)

Overall the place was a serene place.

There is nothing much to see, but the place is definitely a beautiful, one time visit place.
