This place is 8Kms from Pondicherry.. if we want to visit inside we need to register minimum 1-2 days before..and from entrance almost 15 Min walk 1-2 Kms..So their is no option if you want to see inside the structure and level of peace need to go two days..they will take a photo and issue a ID card next day they will allow us inside..badly not visited no time and I have no idea about 2 times visit as we don't have time for next..seen from outside..but at the entrance they are provided French people and how they built and why..! Everything they will show us in 15Min video..it jus awesome..Guys please go inside and see make a 2 days arrangement

This is a land which is owned by noone or by any Government. You have to walk a kilometre or two to see the Matrumandir.

Nice place. Must visit. Clean restrooms and orderly visitors. Walk to the Matramandir is a pleasant and nice walk.

Best kind of meditative location.....go there with a mental trash and come back all cool and calm....go there on the first day and book an appointment at 2 PM for entering the matrimandir.....it might be silly for few but a great experience for many......

So peaceful and soothing. I love the positive energy of this place. Even the food served in the restaurant is delicious . One must not overlook the great shopping experience here.

There should be someone to attend to talk to. . It's all static there with pictures videos etc. . Thought its a pretty organized place . . Lots of greenery around

The main thing i liked to visit is their concept. No religion, no caste. Be free.

Issues passes to Matrimandir Viewing Point..
Many cafes , Boutiques and shops are around this center.. They sell a wide range of Auroville handicrafts such as incense, clothing, tableware, jewellery, furnishings, aromatherapy etc.

You have to visit the Dome...it is bliss..dont have any words to describe the experience

I don't know why it became much popular near pondicherry because you can enjoy or experience nothing new. To reach the Matrimandir we need to walk around 2kms. Only the best part is they provides the bus to return to the parking lot. But if one really want to enjoy and don't want to enervate unnecessarily I suggest one to not visit this place.

A great spiritual and work place. Lots of local handicrafts and natural products being encouraged whereby helping local villages find employment and livelyhood.

No explanation and no experiential feel ... Ridiculous to go visit buildings and meaningless walks through trees and some greenery.

Nice place to learn about Auroville and the philosophy behind that place. The boutiques are nice but a little on the pricey end.

The staff is kind and friendly. Every question has an answer!!! You can watch a video and reading lots of things about auroville. Outside there are some bars and caffetterias for a quick snack!!

Very peaceful and green. Amazing place to just sit and enjoy the day. A little far from the main city, but worth the trip. Good amount of places for shoppers and foodies as well. All services are fairly priced and given with politeness. Great staff, everyone speaks English. Good selection of food and beverages, suitable even for a hot day.

Aurovile is concept by mother.It is situated about 15 kms.from Pondicherry. A holy place for meditation.

There is no shade..if its raining u r in a big trouble

Ample car parking (50 rs)... Go to information center and get your passes free of cost... Elderly people and kids can very well take bus and electric auto available inside premises.. it's absolutely huge park... Beautiful scenic views .. cycles are available only for visitors staying inside auroville.. need to walk for 1.5 kms to reach view point. To enter the golden globe u have to per book in advance.. slot is 10-12 and 2 to 4...or else people without booking can view the globe from a distance of 200 mtrs.
