The place was very nice.. calm and peacefully area, lot of trees and greanery.. well maintained, lot if parking slots.. plenty of information or sign boards, volunteers to guide you. The mandir view point entry is free, pass needs to be collected from the information center, keep the pass with you as they will ask you for the same while returning. Parking fee is there, that ticket also need to show while taking the vehicle back.

The heart of the Auroville experience with an information centre (albeit one that does not do a lot to 'inform'), a couple of cafes to relax/rent a bicycle, the Matrimandir & a few other places to visit (e.g. the indigenous musical instruments shop). Reasonably well connected to Pondicherry by public transport (the auto-rickshaw is the best option here). Serene & calm, a ideal place for a getaway from the city.

Nicely made

Nicely made
Food cafe and boutique located inside the visitor centre are unseasonably extremely costly
Good display of information
