Travelled 2 KMS just see the doom, nothing to see here...ambience is quite and good... people with spiritual interest might like the visit...

The best tourist attraction in the whole Pondicherry. Auroville is not be just seen by eyes but to be felt by mind. It is symbolization of a Global Community.

If you could manage to go inside the globe and meditate then the experience may be different, but for that u have to do prior booking by visiting there. For me it was an okaish experience, nothing much just looking at Golden globe from outside.

You can just see the center..you cant enter in to main center..Surroundings are lush green and cleanly maintained.

Nice place to visit when you come to Puducherry, Its nearby Puducherry. A place for peace. You can understand the reason for this Mandir mandir by a video in Auroville Visitors Center

Cafeteria is decent. Toilet in cafeteria is clean. There are some other coffee shops as well

It's a heaven on Earth. It's a paradise for people who finds meaning through meditation. Google Auroville and you will discover a lot. Coz there is so much about Auroville which I can't explain. It's an amazing place.

Visitors pass for Auroville Matrimandir is available here. Visitors aren't allowed to get inside the Matrimandir. Need a long walk but the atmosphere is good. There's also pickup van service.

Never knew such a place existed, was overwhelmed by the experience. Amazing place to visit. Completely maintained by foreign devotees.

A place where you can refresh and to know more about Auroville

Matrimandir, a beautifully built monument .. only difficulty is the distance they make you walk to reach it... it's really far and exhausts you by the time you actually reach! Thanks to the management for the return bus facility... You can't go inside until you have taken a prior appointment.. they show you a video and explain all the details about the structure and its history.

I visited this place just because it is mentioned in one of the must see places. Didn't like it much may be I have visited in summer.

We have to walk almost 4-5 kms inside which is little painful or you can take bicycles inside.

Best place have walk around in greenary with family.

It's a nice place to have a quick bite, catch the exhibition and pick up passes for matri Mandir. The boutique shops are atrociously priced and nothing but books are priced fairly.

It was a pleasant ,quite and refreshing place , where we can go for a small refreshing visit . The cafe inside it was quite good for food called aurovil cafe and everything was fresh. One day trip at non Sunday day or spring season will refresh us from all sides..... It's almost like a great local park thing. And the big tree near in side was a bliss.... For any city residers .....I have given 5 starts as I would like to go again and visit it .

Lovely place to visit you will find out so many trees plants ,and obviously the best place for meditation .

One of the out of the world experience I have ever had. Must try matrimandir without miss. But remember to book in prior to get a slot. Try to take the walk back which is really nourishing.

It is a place which is peoples that comes across different nation and meet to visit the place called auroville. I really really loved it. This place gives you a good memory in your life.

Auroville is a must place to visit. My first suggestion would be to read about the place and it's history, so that when you go there, you can connect. The place is full of nature and very well managed. The Matrimandir or the Golden-Glob is the famous place within Ailuroville. To enter inside and meditate requires pre-registration. Viewing it from distance is open for walk-in visitors. There are food stalls inside which offer quality food. If you don't have your own vehicle, you can hire one from Pondicherry and reach here.

A very peaceful place to visit. It's a centre of attraction in Auroville. Really close to nature and a must visit!

From the entry point, you have to walk around 3 km to reach mantrimandir. You can not go inside it. You can only see it at a distance of about 200 metres. There is no entry fee and there is also a return bus that is also free. You can find cafeteria and few shops inside it.

Great spiritual experience at the Matrimandir! Must visit for people who wish to understand the practice of sustainability from up close.

If you're going to pondi fir the first time. Just go and book this place. The best place for the best view

It is a place find peace and serenity. You will fall in love with the place even if you see it once & if you are a spiritual person, at least a week's stay is what you have to plan :)
