We stayed here while a family member was in the hospital. The staff was very concerned and helpful. They made sure we had everything we needed as we came in at all hours. We changed reservations constantly depending on who was staying that day. The hotel was beautifully decorated. Even though they had several events, the hotel was never noisy.

The restaurant here, I m sorry to say, is trash. Paper straws, which they serve, are GROSS. The appetizers and meals are SOOO expensive and SOOOO gross. Worse than a $3 pasta dish I can get from Fazoli s or something. The hotel, on the other hand, was decent. Pretty good sized room, and it was very clean.

A decent, typical Marriott hotel. Rooms have been recently updated in the main (non suites) building and are nice. The restaurant and common areas of the hotel are a bit dated and could use some updating. The location is good. Right downtown and easy walking distance to a number of local bars and restaurants. The hotel is also located right on the river walk.

I attended the Technet convention at the Augusta Marriott. The exhibit hall was very well organized with plenty of room to move around. The hallways outside of the hall, however did tend to get a bit crowded between booths along the wall and the people waiting for the exhibit hall to open.

One of the nicest hotels in the area. Great proximity to awesome restaurants. Augustinos inside the hotel is also very good. Great place to host large professional events. It's a little pricy.

Overall good stay and definitely one of the better hotels in the Augusta area. The hotel is conveniently located downtown, quick to pretty much anything you want. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. There restaurant and bar areas are very nice and the food is pretty good but overpriced as many hotels. There is valet and paid garage parking along with two buildings. If you are going to the Suites it is not in the main building.

Staying in a Marriot is not what it used to be. Most have gone from top-tier to slightly above mid-range. That said, this one is above average. The room was modern, and the hotel is cozy and conveniently located to all that is hopping on Broad St.
The room was not the cleanest (specifically the bathroom) and the couch in the room is horrible. Rough, itchy just badness.
The Free Internet is molasses slow. I stayed on Xmas Eve when the hotel was virtually empty, and the speed was still ridiculously slow. If i did not have my phone, I would have had no Internet at all. I am pretty sure they purposely throttle the speed to bully you into paying for Premium Internet.
The room had a great view of the river and seemed quiet, but then again, practically all of Augusta was deserted.

I ate in the hotel restaurant three times (as I said, Augusta was deserted), I would NOT recommend. Remember when hotel food was better than most restaurants? Those days are over.

Very nice rooms that have been recently remodeled with Pergo type hard flooring. The floors need to be cleaned a bit better, but the accommodations are very nice and the conference center is one of the nicest I've ever seen.

I've stayed at this hotel nearly a dozen times over the past year and a half. I have usually been placed in a room in the suites tower, which sounds fancy but is actually outdated and musty. I read other reviews advising the rooms in the main tower have been renovated and are much nicer. The rooms there are nicer, and much more convenient to visit the concierge lounge on the 3rd floor. But the musty smell persists! And the offering at the lounge are limited. I love the proximity to the river walk and restaurants, and the staff at the front desk are great. I would give a higher rating if only the air quality were improved.

Pros -staff was nice. Bed was comfortable.

Cons -room was dirty, dust everywhere, bed sheets had dirt, coffee maker smelled bad, black dirt mud looking under sink. No staff asked how was my stay or room was.

I stayed for work.

we visited Augusta Marriott Convention Center for a dance convention. Russ pace is large and spacious. our suite was fantastic, very clean and up to date. The bathroom is a bit small. I was not impressed with the restuarant for the prices they charged. Staff were very helpful.

The room was great. Very modern and clean. There was a great restaurant downstairs. It was conveniently located and had a great view of the river. Free WiFi and a huge TV, it was great for watching Monday night football. I would definitely stay there again.

Started with five stars. Staff here is wonderfully nice and helpful.

But ...

-1 because each day at least one of the three "clean" wash cloths smelled strongly of urine.

-1 for no access to the television's HDMI port, so I could not use my Amazon Fire Stick.

-1 for the guest laundry being 20 miles away from the tower.

-1 because the door to my room took five minutes to close each time it was opened.

The property is like a wrinkled old matron who is way past her prime but still insists on dressing up in makeup and pearls. This 1970's time capsule is in dire need of a complete reno.

Very clean rooms and attentive staff. Everything there is overpriced, however, so it's more designed for the business traveler than those in town visiting family in the hospital, for example. No complaints though, other than paid parking.

Just don't understand why after submitting all your information online for reservations, you have to answer the same information you submitted once you arrive. Makes no sense. I understand confirming, but what's your this, what's your that, is ridiculous.

Very beautifully appointed from the lobby, to the hallways, to the room. The view from our room was spectacular! We had a lovely view of the river and part of downtown. We were within an easy walk off several good restaurants. Dessert at Boll Weevils was amazing!

The food was okay , I guess little overated because of marriott tag but the food and beverage director doesn't look too happy with his job it felt as if evening shift was imposed on him , he needs to relax in the evenings I guess. Very arrogant man .

Just stopped in on my lunch break for the first time. Had the pasta bar because it's bottomless during the week, however around noon you'll find the lunch rush comes thru and it makes the line for create your own pasta a bit long, resulting in you only having time for one round by the time you get thru the line before you must return to work.

The hotel was very well maintained--rooms and conference area. It was walking distance to the water front and new Cyber Security Center. They charge for daily parking. The parking garage did not have an elevator to the lobby area, which I found odd. The water pressure in the shower was too low. The staff was very courteous.

Went here for my birthday to enjoy some luxury! Big disappointment no discount not a problem. Problem wanted to check in suite went to suite side no one available to assist. Directed to go to hotel side mindful it is not 9pm and it is a Friday. The hotel side is not directly linked to suite side it is a vast parking garage that separates the two. Once at hotel side clerk tried to keep my card after being checked in. Once again had to travel across parking lot to other side where suites are. Room is ok but not Top Notch for price paid Have paid less for much luxury and amenities. Rm service is ok. How dare them charge a Parking fee of $7.00 when you have to park your own vehicle. Note the charge is on the check out ticket. When leaving parking garage we are prompted to pay another fee; lucky someone in another vehicle swiped their key for us to leave. To many unnecessary taxes in a suite priced at $279.00 Total cost was $326.00. Not good price for room that does not have Boise radio no fan or ventilation in toilet room jacuzzi very small compared to other hotel chains.

On our way home from an out of state trip we decided to spend a night at this hotel. This hotel is beautiful and right on River Walk. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We had a king corner room which had beautiful views of the river. The rooms are very spacious, updated and clean. We did have 3 minor problems: 1. When we checked in we were assigned our room and when we went to the room we were put in a standard king room instead of the corner king room. We went back to the front desk (a slight inconvenience) and they quickly got us moved to the correct room. 2. The room description listed 2 robes and we only had one. When we made them aware they delivered another robe quickly. 3. The next morning we noticed mold in the back of the Keurig coffee maker where you add the water. We went down to the front desk and they quickly delivered a brand new Keurig to our room. Even with minor issues I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a stay in Augusta, GA. We enjoyed walking the beautiful walkways along the river and we also walked to a nearby restaurant for dinner. This hotel has a restaurant but we did not visit on this trip. The hotel also has a Starbucks but sadly it is only open in the morning. I don t know if they have reduced hours because of the pandemic but I would have liked if this was open for longer hours. Overall this was a great stay. We only stayed one night and plan on coming back when we can stay longer and explore the area more since the hotel is within walkable distance to many places. I am a travel agent and I am always looking for nice places to recommend to my clients and this hotel definitely is one I would recommend.

In the heart of downtown, the Augusta Marriott is a good night's sleep. Rooms are modern and spacious. The hotel is right on the Savannah Riverwalk and just two blocks from Broad street. There is a Starbucks downstairs in the lobby next to Agostino's restaurant and bar. Overall a good place to stay.

Hotel layout is very bizarre with the suite tower being across from the hotel that was accessed through a parking deck. Not much to be done there. The room was a mixture of outdated furnishings and modern electronics. The nightstand alarm clock was disgustingly dirty and the bathroom had no fan. Overall it was an alright stay, would book again if only to try out the main hotel.
