My son loved it I'm glad he could experience something from my childhood
Nice park, beautiful homes nearby, lots of walkers , runners, skaters.
Wonderful walking park.... No restrooms Please NOTE that....
I think it a wonderful and safe place easy to meet people. A nice just to walk around in. Would recommend it for anyone.
So pretty. Great exhibits. Food in swamp themed restaurant was delicious. Employees were amazing.
Extremely helpful staff, fair prices, and great exhibits.
Best park ever! I go running there a couple times a week. Glad its uptown! Cancelled my gym membership because of it.
I have been going to the New Orleans zoo for Fifty five years. Since Ron Foreman took over. It's improved tremendously. Love the Zoo.
Great executive course where you can actually hit every club in the bag (Par 62 with 2 Par 5s). Always in good condition with beaitufkl scenery surrounding every hole.
Amazing Zoo! Immersive themed lands and all the animals very active which I presume means animals are well cared for and have stimulating exhibits. Not to mention live oaks with plenty shady seating and can have a beer in the swamp area
This is a great place to visit.. Especially in non summer months where it's still warm and tropical. The layout is very easy to navigate.. You don't feel like you're lost or missing some area. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and it's fun to check out feeding time. The snack prices are a little gauging, but what do you expect? It's a beautiful, fun place with plenty to see and do.
Notice the electrical connection. It must be a current bush.
I love autumn in park but one year I had to rescue a barn owl that was hit by a car in front of my house I brought it to Audubon Park for there known animal instincts. They did not want to accept the bird had to wind up leaving the bird in the parking lot they expected me to bring it to a veterinarian and pay for the charges I would have did better just running over the thing then how would the people thought of me then. All I know I was trying to rescue something someone else did because I was not the one that hurt the animal. But with all due respect you would think Audubon Park would have taken it in but instead they straight up denied me and said they could not do anything for it. I just don't think it's what mr. Audubon himself would a did.
Loved it! Chaperoned my nephews field trip and it brought back so many memories when eating lunch there. Always one of my fav places to make me happy
Great place to walk, relax and sight see. Bring bread for all the birds you'll meet.
Amazing place... Tons of fun.. If you have a bad time here its because you are incapable of having a good time
Very nice place for a stroll and kids will love it..
This was the most depressing day at the zoo that we have ever experienced! The weather was pleasant but the animals were not! With the exception of the bird exhibit, the elephants and giraffes, all the other animals were hidden somewhere in their captivity space where they couldn t be seen or they were sound asleep! It was so evident that these animals were so depressed and/or drugged! We decided to never again give another dime to these pathetic places that house animals just so we can see them in person. Well, I d advise every parent to start showing their children our wonderful world of animals in a book!!! You ll see more on the pages and you won t have to waste your hard earned dollars at the zoo!!!
Just like Seaworld, their cruelty towards these animals is soon to be exposed!!
Large open park that's great for walking or biking and other recreational things.
One of our family's favorite places to go. My lil man loves the Spider Monkeys
Wonderful public space! Great for exercise and casual exploring. Beautiful area of New Orleans!!!
How do you even review this? You have a great playground for kids by st. Charles across from loyola. Beautiful running paths and gazebos nestled throughout the park. Look for the old ruins by the zoo. The back of the park will take you to "the fly" where you can see the kids playing soccer and watch the boats go down the river. There's a lot to see and explore.
ample room but still a prison for some animals. clean, good layout, good for picnics, good play area, top notch as far as zoos go. cool swamp area but they took out the capybaras
2 best parks in America. Audubon Park and Kent Falls State Park. Audubon Park--love the running trails, the golf course, the beautiful oaks, the enchanting houses, the people, really everything about it!
I've lived going here ever since I was a kid. Glad to see they are making improvements.
Biggest park I've ever seen! Lots of green space, a trail, exercise equipment, fountain, and the playgrounds are nice/new with plenty to keep the kiddos going and going.
We had a great family trip there and everyone loved it. It is a little pricey for what you get but worth it in my opinion.
One of our favorite parks. We were engaged and married under The Tree of Life. The tree is definitely worth checking out!
I visited in heavy rain, as I was there for couple of days, couldn't see much of it. But saw giraffe quite closely
Spectacular beautiful great place to go for a walk also there is no commercial shop in the whole part which makes it pristine
Beautiful park! Great walking/running/bike trails. Lots of pretty houses overlooking the park. Right off streetcar route.
What a great zoo. Not a lot of any single species, but a lot of various animals to enjoy. Lots of things to climb on and explore for younger, active kids. Clean.
Great location for a family gathering. This was a major Holiday, therefore, parking was a bit tight.
Beautiful, clean park. We always take the trolley there when we visit New Orleans with the kids.
Was very busy ... but it was a lovely calming stroll.
We were unable to visit that day due to the Jaguar escaping . It was very responsible of the Audobon team to close and investigate before letting the public in. SAFETY first
Nice, quiet, relaxing park. Great walking and running paths, as well as a variety of sitting areas.
My favorite place in the world. They care about your experience and the animals. Food at the alligator Cafe is delicious. Always finding something to improve.
Stunning peace in Nola. Dig the Tree of Life!l while there...oldest tree in New Orleans.
This is the best zoo I've ever been in my life. Staff is polite and professional. I got lucky and saw a chameleon being fed by crickets. Not sure you will see so many cool snakes somewhere else. So if you are into snakes - you must go! The zoo was designed pretty well. Monkeys, snakes, predators are all separate. Must see alligators. Also you need to have at least two bottles of water. This zoo is huge and you should expect to spend at least 1.5-2 hours. I spent around 2.5 hours. The price might seem expensive, but trust me this zoo has almost all animals. It's totally worth it and I will definitely come back next time I'm in New Orleans. I already told all my friends to visit it and showed them over 100 pictures and video I took there. I don't recommend you to plan something else after going there. Most likely you will be exhausted from walking (I think you will walk around 3-5 miles). I'd also recommend you to eat before and after visiting this place.
The aquarium was awesome and the zoo had electric carts that I could rent since I have trouble walking that far and the battery last forever.
I really like to bring my 4 year old son here. Today it rained, but that didn't slow us down riding bikes on the 2 mile trail that wraps around the whole park.
I'd sure like a sidewalk leading to the playgrounds though. Gets a little muddy on rainy days. Washing shoes now.
Beautiful park with tons of live oak trees. A great space to bike, jog or just chill by the ponds.
Worst zoo in the United states. I visited the zoo today with my wife's service animal a 6mo old conure. He has been isolated since birth. I am a physician have a BS in biology and have completed medical school and a residency in internal medicine and a second in anesthesiology . According to the zoos vet no one with bird contact should enter thezoon. I was told the bird ....freckles was a threat to the bird population of the zoo. Even though he was not to be allowed in areas where other birds were. I was told his dander was a danger.....but my wife and I were fine to go in zoo without him......medically no parrot owner should be allowed access if he is correct or others with viral symptoms. .....we all remember bird flu correct....I wish I had the luxury of deciding who were my patients...he is the mentality who created.leprosy colonies. Funny the Audubon society was founded on our feathered friends and my wife and freckles had such a miserable experience with a man who needs a lititle more education. ....all those who understand please voice your opinions thanks
A nice zoo with ever improving enclosures to improve the animal's quality of life
Uptown staple. Love the fact that they are redoing the St. Charles uptown side playground. It's starting to look very cool.
Great place to enjoy the day. Feeding the Giraffe's is a must do!
A gem in the hustle of the casual Crescent City. You need to exercise to burn off some of that great NOLA food, here is a spot for you. Nice off road trails and friendly faces greet you here.
Bring a picnic and enjoy an afternoon or evening on the lawn. Majestic oaks and friendly faces greet you.
Great fun for the family and the lazy river is awesome
