Absolutely loved walking here! There are two parks so make time for both. The natural one is stunning and has a massive tree of life! The other is still beautiful and has an outdoor amphitheater, turtles, flowers, etc.

Good spot for locals and tourists alike

About 30 minutes by bus from central New Orleans. A combo ticket with the aquarium in the city is recommended. The lion is being renewed and construction is scheduled to be completed around the summer of 2019.

Our son Christopher was a Junior Zoo Keeper for many years while in Jr & High School. This Zoo is one of the best Zoo's in the Country. A must see and enjoy. Every year the Zoo improves or adds something exciting to the exhibits and experience. If you went a few years ago you must go again. We have many memories on Monkey Hill with our kids and enjoying the taffy cart too!!!

Besutiful place to spend the whole day with your family. Lots of animals to see, and food to eat. You will fell like you are actually traveling through the bayou at some point, enjoy the realism of what a zoo should be. Great albino alligator exhibit. You wont regret stopping by this amazing zoo.

I don't frequent the zoo, but enjoy the bike paths and safe, easy access to the paved bike path on top of the levee. The only drawback to the levee is no shelter from the sun and wind.

This is the third zoo I've been to in Louisiana since moving here. I bought a seasons pass to this zoo since it had great reviews. We're from New Iberia and our last membership was to Zoo of Acadiana. Some of the attractions at Audubon Zoo are nice. However, the Gorilla and Tiger habitats are way to small. The gorillas looked so sad/bored, and the tiger looked dead. It's seems as though every zoo that I've been to in this state doesn't have enough room. When my backyard is bigger than the Tiger exhibit you know you shouldn't have that particular animal. Or maybe they don't? My family and I visit zoo's every year when we vacation. This zoo should check out the Colombia, SC zoo, they have an AWESOME gorilla habitat!

A good day indeed. A lot of the animals were sleeping but still a great day. A very large selection of animals and a bunch that are almost extinct in the wild. The tiger in the picture...there are only 40 left in the wild. Some really big cats ...a bit pricey but worth a whole day.

This zoo wasn t what I expected, for being in NOLA I thought it would be a lot bigger but that wasn t the case. When we showed us in the morning many of the exhibits were still being cleaned which was a disappointment. Overall good experience but we expected more.

The zoo is closed on mondays now that the kids are back in school, just a heads up. We went for a meeting with guest services this time for a birthday party there in a month. Haven't been here for a while and a lot has changed in the past 10 years. This zoo has been recently remodeled and is better than ever now. The staff is very friendly and you wont be disappointed with a day long visit here. Will update with pictures after our birthday party is successful!

The walk through is coordinated so that you can see everything worth seeing, masks on right now it not so bad because it is not so hot to wear the masks. And be socially distant. there is plenty of room to have a good vantage point to see the animals

All the feels. Been coming here for 30+ years. Lots of nostalgia. The zoo does a good job with renovation and exhibit updates. The cool zoo is an excellent addition. Don't miss the Taffy cart.
