Educational and fun for all members and ages of your group. The train conductor is well versed in information about theanimals and history of the zoo. There is a small water park called cool zone available during warmer weather.

A fantastic park! This, behind City Park, is one of my favorite parks I've ever visited. It's large, has plenty of beautiful plants and trees. There's a feeling of calmness in the air, and people here always seem to be happy. It's hard not to be considering how peaceful of a place it is. Even when there's a lot of people.

A large paved path, with lanes for both bikes and pedestrians circles around the park. There's lakes, turtles, ducks, and other various birds around the park.

Overall, super great place to relax/have a nice walk.

Whether walking the mile plus paved trail or wandering beneath the ancient live oaks, this is one of the best spots to take in the natural beauty of southeast Louisiana in the heart of New Orleans. The waterway boasts some impressive populations of migrating water birds. The north end borders St. Charles Ave and Tulane University. Magazine Street lies between the park and the zoo. There is a small Golf course on the west side, workout stations, and a children's playground. Even on scorching hot days, the shade of the masive trees provide some relief.

This was a wonderful experience today. I wasn't able to do my walking at my usual park, so I picked up my sister and we went to Audubon. As you stroll through the park , experience the beautiful scenery. There was a tree closer to the Magazine street size ,that had a silhouette of a gorilla on the size of the tree . I thought that was amazing.
My only issue is there aren't any mile markers.

The prices are not to bad for being a Zoo. I have payed a lot more. Anyways, this Zoo is nice and the staff is nice also. They have a lot of different animals there, you can get a pretty close experience with them that is for sure. Of course being in New Orleans you have the alligators there and they are throughout the park it seemed like. This is a nice zoo and not a bad drive from Gulfport.

Our friend recommended this park! Took a little walk to relax and unwind before heading to our destination! Our fur baby enjoyed sniffing around and making a new friend with a black cat! Nice area. Popular with its locals seen a lot getting their exercise on and walking their pets.

One of the best zoo experiencs ever! They hace plenty of animals and attractions in and around the zoo. Its great price for a family day filled with fun amd adventure. From the zeebras to the monkies. We seen it all. Best of all is the place ia surrounded by huge parks whwre tou can go amd have a picnic lunch between viewings. But one recommendation i have to make is the gator feedings. But you have to be sjre to be there when its time. What a site to see. The kids loved it. Plenty of safe fun. Including insectatarium, snake, bird, and butterfly exibits. They were some oc the favs. Great place.highly recommended!!!

Very beautiful park with the tree of life. Pleasant for family outings, on foot, by bike or rollerblades. Several others new for children, golf in the center, lots of birds and good atmosphere.

What a marvelously laid out park in New Orleans. It's a respite from a humid day and an oasis for city folks. There are running, walking and biking lanes that go around the park. Pockets of nature and serenity are all along the path, beckoning you to sit down and think about life for a while. The oak trees are magnificent, keeper of secrets over hundreds of years. There are restrooms and water fountains too, if you need any of the two essntials. There is also a children's park if you need them to get their zoomies out. Highly recommend a visit during your stay in Nola.

The Audubon Park (not to be confused with the Audubon Zoo (officially and on maps: Audubon Nature Institute)) is spectacular. Great for kids, adults, those young at heart....anybody who loves nature and all of the serenity nature brings.

As the photos show, there are trees, bushes, birds, reptiles of all kinds; as well as great nooks to look for lizards (as my kids were doing) and running, playing, walking, skipping, riding bikes....you name it! The best part is that it is so close to the Audubon Zoo as well as to the Magazine Street corridor which has tons of cool shops, restaurants, ice cream shops, etc. You can definitely make a day of it!

All kinds of fish can be seen but it is so cool to catch a glimpse of that living fossil the Alligator Gar.

We visited the park twice while on vacation and our kids loved it. It's a very clean park with well taken care of playgrounds and it's very open so you don't have to shelter your child. You can also enjoy the gorgeous Southern Live Oaks while you're there!
