A gorgeuos park! Wonderful landscaping, beautiful trees, plenty of open areas, well kept bike and foot track. A wonderful view of the Loyola Church that romanticizes the building. The only caveat to the park is a section of the trail that is unprotected from the golf course.

What we went for was the zoo, unfortunately our large portion of the zoo was apparently being worked on in order to create a new exhibit. Well the new exhibit seems to be a pretty awesome addition to the zoo unfortunately for some of us you will not be able to make it back within the next couple years it was kind of chopped up to a loss that those areas and a lot of it was kind of blocked off. While there my husband and I found a water moccasin in the fox exhibit I notified staff which was pretty crazy kind of just shows that the exhibits are really open to Nature along with the amount of turtles that the zoo does not breed.

Amazing experience. If I can give them 10 stars I would. We drove up from Miami, Florida for Hurricane Irma. And they gave us VIP passes for a free train and carousel ride. Plus the zoo is huge ! So many beautiful animals and a super clean environment. The people their were amazing. Great customer service and will be back in December for winter... My wife and Kids were super happy with their experience as well.

Pretty park. Easy to reach with the street car. On the way you can also see some pretty houses in the New Orleans Garden District. There are a few very beautiful oaks covered with Spanish moss that are suitable as a photo motif.

I got a chance to enjoy the sight of a variety of animals. Watched lots of wonderful families having fun. The staffing of the Zoo were very helpful in direction and answering questions. The weather in my opinion couldn't have been better for the event (EASTER ).

Was a lovely park with tons of trees and grassy areas. It is huge by the way. It contains a golf course and the Audobon Zoo. Has a great trail for taking a stroll or running. Has the best exercise equipment dispersed along the trail as well if that's your cup of tea. There are eating spots and benches, stages, kids play areas and also tons of birds to watch as well. At the lowest part you can even see the Mississippi River. Not a bad place to visit if you want to get some fresh air and work off some of those large New Orleans meals.

If you are visiting New Orleans and looking for something to do, this is a great zoo. Animal enclosures are large and natural, the zoo setting is very unique. This is a large zoo with something for everyone especially children. Dont miss the insectarium or the Louisiana swamp exhibit. Both unique and well done. The Aquarium of the Americas is also a great experience though it is at the foot of Canal Street. Both venues have adequate nearby parking and at the zoo it is free. Both are children oriented.

A really big park which is awesome for a lot of activities. The tree cover over the walking paths make even the peak afternoon sun not feel harsh. Oh and the snoball place just outside the zoo is awesome. There is also a gold course in the middle of the park. A great place to spend time with family on holidays.

This park is nice, but this almost 300 year old tree is the greatest. I was in New Orleans for 3 days and went to see this tree 2 times. The rest of the park is just that a park ball fields and sidewalks next to the river.

Perfect time to go. It was not too hot and got to see most of the animals. It was nice seeing the lions. And our daughter was super excited to see the zebra. It was also nice seeing the goats and be able to interact with them like that. A very rewarding experience. I just wish we lived a little closer.

Beautifully maintained park in the center of Uptown New Orleans. The park feels lively without being crowded. The walking path is wide and lined with shady oaks. The trail is lined with outdoor workout stations. Well worth the visit.

I wonderful zoo. Spent all day there, and it was nice to just walk around. I did feel kinda bad for the animals outside though; it was a chilly day and you could tell they were cold. Other than that ythough, I had a wonderful time.

Audubon nature institute is the most wonderful part about the state of Louisiana. Keepers who really care about their animals, a knowledgeable staff, and a stunning property make it an amazing place to visit. You won't find bars on any of these exhibits either. All the animals are either captive bread(not taken from the wild) or rescued animals who could not survive on their own. If your visiting new Orleans this is a must stop spot. It can get hot but there are frequent places to cool off all over the place. Wonderful wonderful place!

Got to love it.
