I should have read the actual customer complaints here before I took on the connection.
They commit fraud. There is 20% reduction in speed no matter the connection you take. Piss poor customer 'care'.
Absolute scoundrels overall. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS.

1) They blatantly commit fraud and scam
I paid 6k+ upfront for a 6 month connection with a free router (in lieu of 1 month free internet). End of the month I notice a Rs. 150 charge on my account which is super surprising
I call them to find out what the charge is, and they tell me that the plan was changed from '6+1 month to 6 month + wifi' hence this is a 'change charge' or 'pro rata' charge. (the reasoning depends on the customer care representative you call)

This makes ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE. ABSOLUTE 100% KNOWN FRAUD
a) I didn't sign up for this, they do this intentionally to scam unknowing customers. I have a written PROOF that I was on 6M + free wifi router.
b) Even if a customer DID change the plan mid way, how can it be a 'pro-rata' charge? All you have to do is NOT give that free 7th month of internet!

2) They have given me a faulty router to begin with. I'm supposed to get 75 MBPS, but this wifi router gives 60MBPS on a good day standing right next to it. A MASSIVE 20% cut in bandwidth!
I have been chasing for 5 weeks, since Week 1 and they just auto close the complain number and the customer care reps act like the cheekiest bunch of &*&*# you've even met.

They repeat the same grind knowing that it is bull, and wait for you to lose your cool and then cut the call for being 'unprofessional'

ACT is the worst service provider in broadband. utterly useless n not customer friendly. compalaints are never attended n redressed n are even closed unilaterally. there is no direct communocation phone lines m their contact centres are useless n never do their job seriouly. never take a broadband connection from ACT.

They r sooo money minded, for new connection they come to take money even at 10.30 pm and for resolving complaints they dont attend the calls.
So shameless......

I have registered a complaint on 22nd may @ 7.30 am that the internet is not working. No action has been taken by the staff till now {its already 23rd may 8.00 pm( 37 hrs passed)}. I'm losing all my projects and my job is at stake.

I tried many times to call the customer care to enquire about the complaint, every time all the executive will always be busy talking to other customers.

Today is 24 th may 1 pm.
After passing of two days, and even after requesting the staff that my job is at stake and I'm loosing all my projects, the staff is not interested in solving my internet connection issues. If this type of service is going to be given to us, we don't want it. The act app is a big waste. Once the complaint is lodged, it will not take the 2nd complaint. They will send you a sms stating that they r working on the complaint.
Really worst service. Its utter waste of ur precious money. Pl opt for someother internet provider.

worst internet provider for collecting money they come as early as they can.but for giving connection they will make delay.there excutives are disgusting that fellow dont even pick calls.if we call call center we have to wait for 10mins to pick call.

Wish we had an option for a negetive rating.. These people are so ridiculous.. internet goes down at least for two days every bloody month. And they take at least three days to fix it, meanwhile our jobs at stake..

I had registered a complaint on 14th July saying that internet is not working.

First: It's been 5 days since I registered a complaint, problem not resolved.

Second: I have been following up for solving the problem since 14th, all the commitments were not met and taken seriously. Till now not even a single call on enquiring about the problem.

I believe commitments made by ACT customer care executives are purely fake to just disconnect from the conversation.

Not sure whom to blame -- the government of India ...

Not sure whom to blame -- the government of India for allowing companies like this to freely scam customers or the law enforcement for not looking into people's cases. Absolutely pathetic services, they used to be great once upon a time but now are simply horrendous. Disconnections, poor speed, deceptive technicians, non-responsive customer support, automated spam of bill notices every day, and the list goes on and on.
