Athenaeum InterContinental Athens Review

I have attended 2 conferences so far at this hotel and was surprised by the courtesy of the staff. They were all helpful and smiling. Very nice snacks and drinks. Beautiful and pleasant place.

Reception very strange people,on the payment you must pay 100 for garancy for the minibar, if not consumet they turnit back, IN the check out they say to us you should pay it again, TERRIBLE SITUATION.
After discuting 12 minutes finally they turn us the 100 of the garanci,aven dhe bar prices 7 the cafe,TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE STAF

First night here and it's beautiful! Service has been great so far and the roof top patio bar has great views of the significant landmarks in the city. Loving it so far!

Nice conference hotel about 5 minutes drive from the center of Athens. Can easily handle conference with more than 250 participants staying at the facility and a restaurant area dedicated to the conference participants. And there can be several parallel tracks. All rooms can have people sitting at desk, which is nice for note taking. I found the gathering area on the ground floor quite noisy - would have be nice with more sound absorption features.
There is also a Michelin class restaurant with outside serving on the 10th floor, which I did not time to try out. Good and professional room service.
Don't forget to visit the center of Athens at least one afternoon / evening during your stay.

I've been all over the world, but this is overall the best hotel I've stayed in!

Only positive can I say ... Clean, with quiet rooms, helpful and attentive staff, many extras, etc .. Bravo!

We stayed for plane cancellation. As we do not go out, we do not understand location well. The room and breakfast was great.

The staff was not able us despite our request to assign our 3 booked rooms. At checkout peanuts were charged, which were not consumed. The free welcome water you wanted to charge me on this occasion also equal. The room access cards did not work anymore and we had to unlock them again. In contrast to the unauthorized breakdowns in this category, the cleaning power was very accurate.

The food is stupid expensive. The rooms were ok... Don't expect to get breakfast cheap or dinner. Leave the hotel to eat anything.

4 star hotel in a good location. The personnel is very friendly and courteous. The rooms are large, clean and modern furnished, the bed is comfortable, bathrobe and slippers are available, there is also an outdoor pool. The rooms are only moderately well insulated and the window looks out on sad decaying houses. Otherwise a good conference venue.

Luxurious hotel, but the prices could be lower! You can find these services and amenities at lower prices. Very good breakfast!! The pillows were awful! However, I was informed by the hotel staff that guests can choose from a variety of different pillows!! That was something I was not aware of!

Hair dryer is sometimes not functional - after using it, it shoud be 'off'. Otherwise you may not use it in next time.

The rooms are fully equipped, comfortable, very attentive and most with a beautiful view of the Acropolis and the city.

A big hotel with a nice view and nice features. For a TOP hotel classification was a deception.
Was more expensive than really you have in return as per example on structure or services (nothing to justify the price).
The room was big, clean and net, nothing extraordinary for a really expensive rate per night.
The pool was closed (?? November ?? on Greece ??) besides been a really nice and warn weather.
No especial social area, the bar is in the entrance and is always crowded by tourists or groups that use the place for events.
The food is expensive but nothing special.
Finally the worst part was definitely the surrounding, sad, polluted (traffic noise and trash), not illuminated enough, not safe!! Nothing nice mainly at night if you desire to walk to city center.

It was once the special diamond in Athens ... It has been years without substantial radical renovation.

I attended an event in the hotel's ballroom. Great space, excellent service. The menu was amazing, fine flavors, delicious dishes. Very good organization, relatively easy parking.

I love this hotel ,I always enjoy my visit here !The staff is unique ,I feel like I stay with my family ! Ask Baso to make an omelet for you and you will have a great start of your day .

Nice and large hotel with onsite pool, gym, spa, cafe, and bar. It is not quiet city center so walking to anything is difficult. There were many airline employees checking in, the vibe was definitely more professional than touristy. Room was large and very clean. It is newer, but still a bit dated. The acropolis view faces the busy road but double windows block all sound. The mattress was great and sheets okay, not premium. For the size of the room the TV was too small and there are no movie channels. The bathroom is large and the tub a normal tub albeit very long. There is a minibar and safe in the room, and the soap is Korres which is a nice organic Greek brand. There was no toothbrush, toothpaste, or comb but complimentary sewing kit, nail kit, and shower cap. There was also complimentary instant coffee and a small bottle of water. For the price of the room I paid 21 for parking and no breakfast included. Also charged a 4 tax for staying (?) Clean and quiet, but for the price there are better options.
