The 5 star reviews are FAKE !
Most of them are coming from Board members who,most likely, received incentives and perks for posting something shameful like this !
One review in particular, is coming from a former board member at Misty Lakes, who was ousted from the Board and had to resign due to her incompetence - As Board President, she decided to double the Maintenance fee for the owners in order to give APM a higher annual remuneration or incentives! She and the rest in the Board , massively destroyed green areas - cutting down trees , without any consideration for their benefits ( noise reductions, air pollution, water drainage, aesthetics) or the wish of the owners.
All major roof repairs are currently done at the units where they live and nowhere else!
Yet, here she is, giving a 5 start review to APM!
If you look online, you will notice that APM has no concrete contact information on its website, LinkedIn, Facebook and other social media platforms. No owner is listed , no address or phone number , absolutely nothing - other than a single form to be filled out ! Very shady ! On Better Business Bureau website , there are already a number of complaints !
The Property Managers of APM ( in our case Melissa Freeland ) are specifically trained to have a dual and deceitful behavior.
On one side, they make sure they are in very good terms with the Board members , do them favors and earn their trust and on the other side , they are really mean, rude and nasty with the owners, as they have absolutely no genuine interest in ever helping them with anything ! This was our case , multiple times ! We desperately tried to reach the Board, over and over again , each time, unsuccesfully !
Together with the maintenance crew and the Board , they strategize to blame the owners for any major issues : water damage, roof and gutter problems, etc..so that the Association is not responsible for anything and does not have to pay for any costly repairs. Shameful !
They send letters claiming they performed investigations and found nothing , therefore the only option for the owner is to file a claim with the insurance company!
It is tragic and we feel sorry for our elderly neighbors , who do not have the energy and the means to fight these incompetent and dishonest people !
There is absolutely no transparency - all Board decision are made behind closed doors , APM acting as a buffer for all complaints and obstructing communication !
So , if you think that APM is a good choice, think AGAIN !
