They were ok, but there's hidden fees every time you turn around. They made us pay $20 for their valet service (which was simply on-street parking across the street 50ft away) and then $15 for "services" (no idea what that was supposed to be). In the room, the hair dryer on the wall was broken so there was a hair dryer in a bag that wouldn't open. The beds sheets were put on backwards, and the drawer of the end table opened on its own. The pool was nice, and we were surprised there wasn't a fee to use it, though being in the south tower we had to go downstairs, walk through the restaurant, and then go back up a floor to get to it. The restaurant is good, though expensive. Expect at least $40 for a small meal for 2 (no appetizer, alcohol, or dessert). The entertainment in the room is a decent sized tv, but it only had several tv channels. No streaming services options. Internet seemed fast enough to handle streaming from your own devices though (the hotel was not busy, so it may be slower during season peak). In the morning, we were surprised to find that breakfast was NOT complementary, and that it was in their cafe, so we'd have to order and wait for it, so we just got a couple of dry, very over priced muffins and left. Overall, we spent +$100 after the cost of the room for what felt like a sub-standard hotel stay. If I stay overnight in Hampton again, I will likely look into other options.

Do not stay in this hotel it was dirty with wrinkled pillows the room smelled there was no working pool they offered no breakfast the guy at the front desk was rude and it's overpriced and the picture was so deceptive and the TripAdvisor reviews are inaccurate.

Great place to stay off season. Great view from oceanview room, priced reasonably and the restaurants on site are very good, especially the breakfast. Overall, wonderful experience!

I stopped in to eat at the restaurant. The food was delicious, and our server was great. Beautiful view.

We stopped in for breakfast. They offer a buffet at Breakers or in the other part of the hotel they have a traditional sit down breakfast. They corn beef hash was homemade and excellent.

Nice place, good service, expensive.

Went for drinks on a Saturday night, it was busy and fun.

I was there for the Sea Glass fest. Came from NY. The fest was a little tight, walkways difficult to maneuver. But great vendors. Very talented and inspiring.

Went to the restaurant here, way to long for food, water served us was room temp. Had to ask for ice after tell waiter the water was warm. BLT was ordered bread barely toasted. The beer served in a warm glass (Sam summer. Yes the summer is hot the should be not). Lobster served BLT came out 10min later. Had to ask for butter for the lobster to dip in. And you bill your self as a (fine dinning) very bad

Pricey but very nice. Dancing on the weekends with bands.

Beautiful ocean view. In good walking distance to everything and everyplace.

It was awesome. The pool was really hot it was like a hottub. It was amazing.

This place has a really nice view of the beach but the rooms are tiny and they don't clean very well we had hair all over our tub and stuff on the floor the room we had looks nothing like the pictures very outdated

First we paid 269.00 and view was bad we got to see the kitchen fans. Then at 11pm the guy started pressure washing them. Were like really at 11pm lasted to 12am roughly
Also we paid more and the rooms were not good. Bed was one of the hardest beds we ever slept on. Definitely will try other hotels before this place again paid extra thinking would see beach just seen a roof with noisey kitchen fans.

Room was great it was clean and modern. The view from our room was good. There was a live band performing on the deck combined with drinks it was lovely. The ocean is across the road. The valet service is very accommodating.

Room quality poor, ripped mattress, horrible layout where you could not watch TV. King room that should be a single full bed size room.. False advertising on entertainment.

Please spend your money elsewhere. Location is nice and there is a heated pool . That is about all. For the price, I expected better. The room was okay but small and dated. The view said side balcony but it faced a wall and an outdoor patio. Very little view of the ocean. There was a strong unpleasant smell in the room and the stairwell hallway. The stairwell hallway was very dirty and dated. Overall the hotel was dated. There was loud plumbing noises from the walls. The heated pool was nice to have but appeared murky. They charge an additional resort fee and parking fee. I do not mind that fee, if the hotel was pleasant but sadly this hotel seemed to be not cared for. Most of the staff was pleasant, with the exception of one person behind the desk.
Next time we stay over at Hampton, we will not stay here. With that price and additional charges, we would hope for better.

Great service but a little pricy compared to surrounding places

Walls are thin and you hear everything. Food made us sick, pool had way too much chlorine.

3rd visit. Great breakfast cafe and dinner and bar. Have pool and valet for car. Good size room with King size bed, kcups in room. Refrigerator/freezer. Good size bathroom. Iron and hairdryer included as well..always good customer service and good view across street is ocean. Waling distance to stores, restaurants and a casino.

The staff was great and the function center was well maintained considering how many people were using it.

The room service is really bad and the room is old. The old guy at the front desk has bad attitude.

Expensive but one of the nicest, well kept places in Hampton. Excellent service all around. Would recommend

Definitely not worth the money! $20 to valet your car, you cannot park it yourself. $15 resort fee. Rooms were not super clean, stains on towels. Gross! Rude front desk staff. I have been coming to Hampton Beach since I was little and never have had a worse experience.

Only after my colleague threatened to check out early from all 4 of our rooms did the clerk find availability on the newer side of the hotel. Until then they were completely booked on that side. The room could have been cleaned better. None of the surfaces had been wiped down and the towels had stains. The walls are also paper thin. My neighbors were not yelling, but I could clearly hear their conversation while I was trying to sleep. The bed and pillows were comfortable. I specified I did not have a car, but when I checked out and received my bill via text email, there was the $20 fee. Removed it without hassle.

I had a short but sweet stay here! Beautiful spot to stay. Staff was very friendly and helpful and room was clean and bed was comfy! Wish I was here longer! Loved it!

Very yummy chicken tenders and very awesome service

I have little idea why this place has a average rating of 4 out of 5. If you ve been to more than 7 hotels in your life, you know that hallways that lead to nowhere and having to walk through the bar/restaurant to get to your room is pretty ridiculous. Not worth the charge.

Me and my wife Went there for appetizers and a couple of drinks. The bartender believe his name was Bob great bartender. Made my experience fun.

Location is good right on the beach. Only parking is valet parking which is $18. Nothing special about the rooms or building. For the price doesn't really seem the best value.

New section is nice with balcony,beware the older rooms

Impeccable service. Very Good prime rib nachos (large portion). Salsa could have been better. Haddock delicious. View of beach, ocean, people watching, and Sox v Yankees on tv at bar. If only they could have somehow got the Sox to win. ;)

The room was very small but the place had a rest view.

My family went and had dinner at the Ashworth. The service, food, and atmosphere were fantastic. Such a great experience. The prices make this place a nice spot for family dining.

The room has a beautiful view from two sides. The restaurant was great, both food and service were excellent. The downsides were the valet parking, we could see our vehicle and had to stand in the rain while the valet fetched the keys from the inner sanctum and backed our car out for us. It made no sense. Also, the room had a strange odor.

Beautiful property and how can you beat being right on the strip with a view of the Atlantic?

Valet parking was horrendous- our vehicle was left open all night- there feces all over toilet from someone else besides us - and we had coffee spilled all over us from the above deck from our deck - hotel states it was not reported when it was - valet help said oh I m sorry after charging us extra to park it

Hotel was a beautiful hotel at one time. Needs updating now and service is mediocre for the price you pay. Had champagne and strawberries delivered to the room and they messed it up. Then left the bucket and plates outside my door until after noon time the next day.

Very professional staff , 2 restaurants on the premises also professional staff in both and location, location, location ..plus a patio to get fresh air right out of your room .

Our room was clean, we had a comfy bed and a clean bathroom. Very nice reception area and I liked the valet parking. On the negative side there is no sound proofing between walls and in the hallways you can hear whole conversations through closed doors. The service was extremely slow in the main restaurant and our appetizer never came.

What an amazing vacation to celebrate our three-year wedding anniversary. Everything has been perfect and the view from our room is amazing dinner was great last night.

This place definitely has great potential. The service was exceptional. Our waitress was so friendly and accommodating as we were a group of 5 and was willing to split all the checks! The food and drinks were decent, although my sangria was watered down and my veggie burger was burnt. The main complaint is that there were flies during our entire meal around our table, our heads, and our food!

Not worth the money and dirty if they are going to be charging you that much for the room omg them step up on the cleanly ness of the room and don't say pillow top mattress when you only have pillows on the bed I was very disappointed. I will never stay there again

My family stayed at The Ashworth for 4 days. The first two days we had a beautiful ocean view, the last two days we had a partial view. There was construction going on across from our balcony, but once you closed the sliders you barely heard any noise. Rooms and pool area definitely need a deep cleaning. They should also give out more linen when guest ask for them. Towels for example: Two towels for a family of 4 (3 being female) don't last two days. When I asked for more towels, I was told they didn't have extra, was handed about ten face cloths! Even though you have to pay extra for valet parking, its worth every penny! They giys were super friendly and was always there when you needed access to your car.

Waste of money dirty the pictures of the pool definitely not the pool on the property very out dated hallways stink views of nothing but another patio said private definitely never ever again

This is a 350$ a night view/location. Not a 350$ a night room, room was outdated with stains on carpet/comforter and fitted sheet wouldn't stay on bed. Ate several times at Breakers food was excellent.

Overall we enjoyed our stay at Ashworth by the Sea. The location was perfect with it being right on the water and beach. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We did have some noisy neighbors which impacted our stay slightly, but don't really hold the hotel management responsible for that. I can't give the hotel 5 stars simply because I never like when we have to use valet. Would much rather self park then have to rely on valet staff (and tip). I expect this more in a large city but in a small beach side town, would have hoped for a self park option.

Room had terrible bassy noise from the kitchen and elevator. Would not change our rooms even though rooms were available. Gave us a refund instead.

Booked a room with an ocean view balcony. The balcony offered more of a side view of the ocean, which was not how the photos described. When I went to take a shower in the room the handle fell of when I went to turn the water on, and I couldn t get the water hot. It was late so there was no maintenance available. The front desk brought up a wrench for my husband to use to allow the hot water to work in the shower. We were unable to move rooms because our 3 year old was sleeping. Breakfast at the restaurant downstairs was not anything like it was pictured on the website. There were broken radiators in the halls. Maybe this hotel was nice at one point, but the photos make everything look a lot nicer than it really is, and for what you pay for a room it was very disappointing. They did waive our parking and resort fees, and take $50 off our room charge for the shower not working, but I am still very disappointed with this hotel. Will not be staying there again, and would not recommend.

Nice view of the beach, good burgers and drinks but the sand fleas we're an annoyance. Overall great service along with the Oceanview dining I'd definitely recommend this place

Their happy hour menu is really delicious. We had their Chile and chicken wings outstanding the best chili I've ever had

Breakers food is amazing! We don't even go to the ashworth for the stay we go for the seafood at breakers :)

Took quite a while for our drink order, other than that a fun place to go!

The meal I had was amazing, and the waitstaff is supurb! Will come again!

Pros convenient location right across from the beach..valet parking...nice restaurants if you felt like staying close...friendly staff..indoor heated pool with a shower. Cons they do not help with luggage and have to drag all your items through a restaurant with sand etc....no shower curtain in bathroom when we arrived had to call housekeeping....getting ready for bed sheets dirty had to call house keeping again..josh from valet by far was the best crew person we came along so thank you again josh...and Dusty from wharfside tavern thank you again :)

Love it here, we had our wedding on the beach and reception after here and stayed there, and they where some good to us
