Great atmosphere, beautiful office and wonderful customer service. Will definitely continue going to Artisan and will recommend it.

Everyone at Artisan Dental is amazing! Dr. Anderson is the most talented dentist I've ever seen, and is such a nice, genuine person. All the hygienists are so sweet and you can tell they all work as a team, are well educated and trained. I don't even mind going to the dentist anymore, and even look forward to it! Thank you Artisan Dental team!

I'm a new patient to Artisan Dental and have found the staff are friendly, welcoming, and all of my questions are answered well. I feel like they have done a great job taking care of my teeth so far. I also like their location in Madison. My experience has been very positive and I would recommend Artisan Dental to others looking for a Dentist in the Madison, WI area.

The hygienist did an astoundingly efficient and thorough cleaning! My kids didn't sit for long enough to get squirmy.
Dr. Merrick and Dr Anderson are both excellent and make my little ones feel comfortable. My children enjoy going there and learning about how to take care of their teeth. My eldest loves them so much that she wants to be a dentist when she grows up, and asked me to email them a picture of her when she lost her first tooth!
We had a referral to a specialist pediatric dentist, and the administrators helped us to set that appointment, and were direct and upfront about what our out of pocket expenses would be.
I would rate Artisan Dental 6 stars on a five star scale if I could!

Please read! I had filling dental services performed three Times by artisan dental. The first time my dentist was amazing and I loved her. The second time was A nightmare that left me unable to chew on the left side of my mouth 1.5 years later. I believe my dentists name was doctor Tesla the second time. She put on White fillingS and got the wire Stuck in-between two teeth and was unable to remove it. She left me to start on another patient because she was behind schedule at this point. The dental assistant tried to remove the wire with pliers while the dentist was gone and pinched my lip hard with the tweezers. I was in severe pain. She decided to wait for the dentist to return After that thankfully,, but I was confused as to how she pinched my lip when the filling was at the top back of my mouth and not the bottom front. When Tesla returned she was able to remove the wire and I saw some blood Come out of my mouth. Slightly concerning, but I was just happy the wire wasn t stuck. She finished up but I couldn t chew on the left side of my mouth. Also one of the lights went out on her googles and she neglected to replace it. That should have been red flag number one. That in addition to that fact that she was new. I returned after about two to three month and my normal dentist was able to squeeze me in to repair the problem. To my horror she said she found something left behind stuck in between my teeth. This experience was far more pleasant and I am grateful to her. However, over a year late I can t chew hard things on the left side of my mouth. The damage done by telsa is probably not repairable and I will suffer for the rest of my life maybe. Please take my advice and avoid that specific dentist. The rest of the staff are kind and friendly and a bit more experienced. I waited a year and half to write this review In The hopes the problem would get better. It never did. Worst part was I don t even think I needed the fillings. I was aware I had demineralization, but the cavity had not hit the important part of the enamel and was just being monitored with high fluoride tooth paste. When initially asked about returning to have the filling Tesla said I could wait over half a year. That makes me think I really never even needed the filling to begin with.

The appointment was quite long, but during that time, I was asked good questions, given information about everything that was happening, and consulted about each step.
Everyone in the office was efficient and friendly and I felt like I was getting good care.
I look forward to my next visit!

First time visiting and I was impressed by the organization and professionalism here. I was in a hurry to finish the appointment, and the staff worked incredibly smoothly and efficiently to get me cleaned up and on my way. Definitely coming back in six months!

The best thing I can say is come here. They know what their doing and they do an excellent job of helping you understand. They are so knowable and frendly I can not image going anywhere else. I came in with no insurance and a mouth full of pain thought I'd pay an arm and leg but it was a fraction of what I thought. I almost offered to pay more I was so happy with the out come of my first visit.

Just had a really excellent cleaning at Artisan Dental. I usually have a little sensitivity with my cleanings but this was totally painless. It went by really quickly and my teeth are feeling squeaky clean. Everyone was super friendly, and thoughtful with advice on my teeth/mouth health and payment recommendations. I really appreciate the efforts they make towards sustainability as well!

This is the most calm, comfortable dentistry practice I've ever experienced. The music is peaceful rather than top-40's frenetic; the staff is competent, efficient, and welcoming. After my initial checkup, an office staff person sat down with me in a private office to discuss estimates for proposed work. Very professional. I'm glad I found this place!

Best experience at a dentist ever! They provide a mixture of : star treatment, spa treatment and therapy. Who knew you could have emotionally intelligent dentists (and staff)?! I hope I never have to go anywhere else. P.S. I had an exam, filling, and cleaning. I don't dread going there---I look forward to it.

Still an amazing dental practice. I don't trust my teeth to any other!

Fantastic dental practice! All my concerns were addressed. All my questions were answered. Both the hygienist and dentist were careful and considerate throughout the exam and cleaning. They took their time, double-checked their work, and explained what they were doing and why. Overall super friendly and personable staff makes going to the dentist a fearless experience.

Madelyn is a gem and is very engaged with the patient and did a great job of cleaning my teeth.

Danielle was exceptional in her explaining every step of the process and was very thorough in her attention to detail.

Dr. Rehermann was highly professional and made the entire process of replacing my crown seamless.

I love Artisan Dental! My kids always feel relaxed there and the staff eases any of their concerns before ever starting the work on their teeth. I also love how relaxed and heard I feel there. I have had lots of dental work done in the past that has caused me anxiety over future dental work and I feel much better about doing what is necessary for my dental health after starting my visits at Artisan Dental.

Super friendly staff, state of the art equipment and time efficient.

Every single person who works here is so helpful and kind. The office is beautiful and they do a great job of making you feel comfortable. I had to have some obnoxiously in depth exams done for the Peace Corps and they were so patient and encouraging throughout all of it. They are super affordable as well, even without dental insurance. I also LOVE their efforts to make their practice more sustainable - they will help you recycle just about any odd dental item! 10/10 would recommend.

I really enjoyed my first visit to Artisan Dental. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. My hygienist was knowledgeable, warm, gently, and professional. I liked how she showed me my xrays on the screen! Dr. Anderson was wonderful. I will absolutely schedule my next appointment with them.

I love this place and the care I receive here. They always explain what they're doing and why they're doing it, which makes me feel empowered and much more comfortable as a patient. Everyone, and I mean everyone -- from the receptionists to the hygienists to the dentists -- is THE nicest. In fact, they're so nice, it makes me want to hang out there -- even when I don't have an appointment!

Artisan Dental is AMAZING! I never imagined a dentist could be as modern, welcoming, and overall outstanding as this place. Every single employee seemed genuinely happy and always wanted what was best for the customer. This place has calming screens in each room as well as tablets for children. The hygienists and dentists were all extremely helpful and kind. I will definitely be staying here as a customer for as long as I live in Madison!

I have never been a big fan of going to the dentist but Artisan makes it a much more enjoyable experience. I have been seeing Dr. Meirick for a while now and she is top notch! Very thorough and just an overall good dentist. The entire office is nice and attentive.
I would highly recommend Artisan to anyone looking for a dentist in town. Can't go wrong here.

Artisian is wonderful. Great location. Great space. Always clean and welcoming, I have had a 1-2 year with me during all my visits and they are able to accommodate it. Also love that they have all women doctors right now! Pricing seems reasonable and their in house dental plans are a good deal.

I had a really good experience, despite not having been to the dentist in over 2 years. The staff is very friendly, and do a great job of explaining what it is that they're doing or about to do, which is really comforting.

Perhaps of less importance while you're staring up at a lamp is that the office has a nice view overlooking East Washington.

I've been going here for a few years now, and have yet to have a bad experience. Everything who works here is so friendly, from the minute you step through the door. They also always are sure to schedule extra time for me when I'm getting work that needs anesthetic (my body is a bit more resistant to the anesthetic than most), and I've never once gotten the impression that they care more about my money than my health (unlike most dentists I've been to).

This whole experience is an A+. The facility upon walking in is extremely nice. The office staff are warm and welcoming. The exam itself is very thorough. It was clear they had reviewed my information prior to my arrival, and although it was my second visit, it felt like they knew me. They explained my x-rays more thoroughly than anyone ever has, and made me feel at ease through the whole process. I haven t yet had any negative experience at Artisan Dental. Thank you for a great dental experience. I actually look forward to coming back.

Been using Artisan almost from day 1. Never a bad experience. Would recommend to anyone. Best people in the business!! Dr. Anderson has built a really great environment for a dentistry.

Finding a new dentist is always an uncomfortable time, but these folks made it completely pleasant, and easy. I'm happy I've found them! From the ease of scheduling, the painless (really!) cleaning, and the carefully explained details of my current dental situation, all was handled beautifully. The background music was soothing, the hygienist was friendly, warm and caring, and the dentist was knowledgeable and upbeat. Everything was explained, including the financial aspects, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that they don't cost more than my previous provider! The respect and care they show are just what I need.

Fantastic and friendly staff! I had my appointment at 7AM and everyone was in a wonderful mood which made me smile as well! Mia was my dental tech and was attentive, thorough and genuinely interested in my health. Highly recommend to anyone in the Madison area!

Everything about my visit was great! Loved the modern space. The staff was beyond welcoming and walked me through everything in great detail. They are taking the time to work with my insurance post-visit to let me know what to expect for out-of-pocket costs to decide on what I'd like to do about some follow-up appointments. Loved the experience!

The best dental experience I've ever had. Their facility is impeccably clean and they offer so many extras. They've partnered with Terracycle so you can recycle your toothbrush, deodorant etc, and have a wellness program that their patients are welcome to participate in, for starters.

I'm not a big fan of having plaque scraped off of my teeth (as I'm sure not many people are) and I was offered a mild anesthetic on my gums through the duration of my appointment to ease the discomfort of the scraping, something that I've never been offered at any other dental clinic. I highly recommend their clinic!

Went to see them based on positive reviews. Got a very detailed course of action with my dental pain. And had my tooth removed. No pain, very calming. Very peacefull office. Everyone is so nice and knowledgeable.

My first appointment was easy breezy and they planned out my care. They were extremely nice and helpful and calming and understanding. Didn t feel like i was being punished for not being in in a long time. Very clean neat environment. Hope it continues

They are taking appropriate COVID precautions. They screen all patients with a comprehensive questionnaire, they have barriers between patients and reception, their staff wear the appropriate masks, they use aerosol reduction techniques for cleanings, and they're giving out hand sanitizer. Overall, felt safe and low-risk. Always appreciate the friendliness of the staff, as well!

TLDR: If you re going to go to Artisan Dental, only go for cleanings. They do a poor job of cavity fillings, and will not take any responsibility for incompetent work and pain they have caused for a patient.

I am editing my original 5-star review to include what has happened over the last year. I first went to Artisan Dental when I moved to Madison. When I wrote my original review, I only had 1 cleaning at that point, and I have to give the hygienist credit- they do a wonderful job of cleaning your teeth. Nonetheless, at my first appointment, the dentist requested that I get x-rays done, and they proceeded to tell me that I needed 4 cavities filled. I hadn t had cavities in nearly 8 years, and nothing was brought up to me at my last cleaning (6 months prior, x-rays taken) with the dentist I had prior to coming to Madison. I was a bit surprised that all of a sudden, I had 4 cavities, but took their word for it and scheduled two different appointments to have my cavities filled. On the first visit, they filled 3 cavities. My mother was visiting me that day, and when I walked in the door after my visit, my mom thought that I had a stroke. My whole side of my face was drooping, I couldn t move anything. The side effects lasted all day. I went in the following week to have the other cavity filled and complained at the time about the long-lasting side effects and the pain I was still feeling after the first filling. They ignored my complaints, said I was probably just sensitive after the fact, and went on with the second filling. I put up with the pain for approximately a week after the second filling but couldn t sleep at night or eat anything but room temperature soup because the pain was so bad. I had radiating pain around my whole jaw and all of my teeth. I went back in and they looked at everything and suggested that my sinuses were acting up and told me to go see my ENT. A month later, I went in to see my ENT, and he looked at the updated x-rays, and in my nose and mouth. He said nothing was wrong with my sinuses. I went back to Artisan Dental and they still refused to take any responsibility for the amount of pain I was in. I went in for another cleaning 6 months after my first appointment, still in pain, and they told me that I needed to come in every 4 months for a cleaning from now on (with no real reason why). My insurance won t cover that, so I would ve had to pay out of pocket, and declined. They took x-rays again of my mouth to see if something was wrong with the fillings, and they said everything was fine, and I d just have to deal with the discomfort. Over a year later, my teeth and jaw are still in pain. After all of this, I decided to switch back to my old dentist, who is two and a half hours away from where I currently live. I had an appointment last week with my old dentist, who I explained all of this to, and had her look at all of my x-rays taken with Artisan Dental. It turns out, that due to poor placement of an anesthetic injection during the first cavity filling, I had peripheral facial nerve palsy. Based on my current pain levels, my dentist said this will likely be a long-lasting problem that I ll have to live with. Looking at the original x-rays, my dentist said 3 of the 4 cavities should not have been filled (yet, at least). Furthermore, upon examination, she noticed that two of my molars (one of which had been filled) were glued together with the filling. I couldn t even floss between the two teeth. Finally, she said that the only patients that need to come in for 4-month cleanings are periodontal patients, which I definitely am not. Needless to say, I am disgusted with the lack of care for patients and their inability to take responsibility for what had happened (or at least educate me on what happened).

Update: The owner, Dr. Nichole Anderson, did reach out to me and apologized for the situation. She said she will use this experience to better educate her team.

From the moment i walk in everyone is so nice and welcoming. The environment is super clean and comfortable. I also love that they explain every single thing they do step by step as they do it. I am so happy I found this place!!! Destiny did my cleaning today and she was amazing!!!

I always have a pleasant time here. They've given me good advice over the past few visits and it is nice to have a view of the city while sitting in the chair.

I arrived a bit early for my appointment and everyone involved welcomed me. My hygienist was able to see me, earlier than anticipated, for my cleaning and everything went very well. The office and all treatment rooms are incredibly attractive, modern and patient-friendly. I would highly recommend Artisan Dental!

10 years of dental work done in three separate 2 hour appointments. I hated the dentist at first due to a poor experience at the last place I frequented, but I have zero qualms going to the dentist after visiting Artisan! I'm almost excited to come back for my check-up in 6 months!

Great from beginning to end! My appointment began promptly on time. The room was beautiful and bright, with soothing music playing in the background. Lindsay did a great job cleaning my teeth and was gentle yet thorough. I highly recommend Artisan Dental!

Artisan Dental is in a wonderful location on E Washington near the Capitol. The building is state of the art with all of the latest dental technology. The chairs are super comfortable made with premium leather. The staff is incredibly thoughtful and friendly. If you love excellence and professionalism Artisan dental screams it. Going to the dentist is always nerve wracking but their professional care and attention to detail brings a sense of ease and pride that you are truly receiving the best dental care possible.

I just had a cavity filled and the staff was kind and careful enough to tell me everything that was about to happen. They even took a close up picture of my cavity and showed me how and why the cavity developed.

I was recommended to this group by a close acquaintance, and I am very glad they sent me this way. I worked with Dr. Tressler and Sami, and this was far and away the best experience I have had to date with a dentist. Everyone here, from reception to hygienists, to doctors, to check out are friendly, communicative, and efficient people. In the space of about 3 weeks I had my first cleaning, and 5 fillings repaired, across a total of 3 visits. Their first priority was my safety, health, and comfort. Sami and Dr. Tressler communicated what was going on every step of the way, made sure I was not in any pain, and were fun to talk with as well!

I cannot recommend Artisan Dental enough. These folks are real pros, and make visits to the dentist SO much easier.

This is a really awesome dental practice. I am so happy it is in my network. The location is super convenient and the office space is beautiful and very modern. I got the corner suite for the first time for my last appointment which was awesome but all of the suites have cool views of East Washington Avenue or Livingston Street. Beside that the soothing images on the TV screens are nice and the sunglasses they offer are always appreciated. I love that they use a water pick instead of the traditional metal scraper. I hate the way that sounds in my head. The hygienists and dentists are all super nice and friendly. They always send me home me a toothbrush and some toothpaste. I highly recommend this practice.

I've never felt compelled to review a dentist practice, but this place is great. My former dentist kept telling me that sharp pain in a particular tooth was due to tooth sensitivity. My partner encouraged me to go for a second opinion at Artisan, and I learned that I needed a root canal. (They did various diagnostic tests that my former dentist did not do.) The procedure was pretty painless. I've been several times since then and am really satisfied with the quality of care. Everyone there is very professional. They are also friendly but not to the point of being intrusive.

I received the best cleaning of my life thanks to Megan. A year prior to this cleaning a dentist told me I had a discolored tooth from a root canal and nothing could be done. Megan found that the tooth was simply stained and she successfully removed the stain. I returned for fillings and Dr. Meirick found the filling next to the tooth she was working on needed the filling replaced. She took a picture so I could see the problem and offered to take care of it right away. She also offered to determine additional costs. Everyone I have met at Artisan Dental is friendly and kind. I appreciate Artisan's commitment to the community and sustainability.

Artisan Dental makes going to the dentist such an enjoyable experience! The staff are incredibly friendly and gracious, the cleanings are gentle yet very thorough, and they give great expert advice. I feel spoiled at every visit!

The staff is extremely knowledgeable but the last few times I ve been there it s very apparent you ve turned up the focus on revenue and less on the patient as a person. I left feeling bad about the condition of my teeth based on the feedback I was given. I take good care of my teeth! And I was little irritated at the salesy approach. This is disappointing. I should never leave my dentist s office feeling inferior or scared into spending thousands of dollars. Take the sales hats off and focus on personalized, compassionate care. The revenue will go up in return if you take the right approach.

I had the worst experience at Artisan Dental. Do NOT go here. I went in for a cleaning in August and was told I needed fillings on multiple teeth. I had 3 fillings done per their recommendations even though I did not experience any pain/discomfort. It has been one month and I am still having extreme sensitivity and pain all the time. I went back in 2x and they adjusted the fillings but after much frustration I forwarded my teeth X-rays to my dentist friend who said they overtreated and NEVER should have done any of the fillings but should have watched them over the course of 6 months to a year. I may now need a root canal because of the fillings that were placed and am going to get a second opinion and switching dentists. I feel that it was just a money making effort for this dentist and they did not truly care if I needed the fillings or not. As a health care provider, I am extremely disappointed in this dentist for not looking out for the best interest of their patients. They have a beautiful office and great reviews so I am sure it would be fine for cleanings but DO NOT take their advice about needing fillings. Seek a second opinion as I wish I had prior to undergoing multiple fillings.

The whole team at Artisan Dental is great. They are friendly and really seem to enjoy working together. Thye are quick to help and offer suggestions to me and they are fantastic with my 6 year old son. It can be stressful to go to the dentist (for us all) but the staff at Artisan Dental take very good care of the whole family.

This is an A One practice. As you enter the office there is a dealing of calm. Everyone on the staff has a great attitude, they are obviously happy.
My exams and cleanings have been very thorough. And at 58 yrs old, I've been to the dentist many many times. Having said that, my hygienist rates a "10" ! Great job.
My dentist , Dr. Nicole is wonderful bed side manner and very understandable.
And, they are affordable too!
I'm now have confidence I am in good hands.
