One of the best places to visit in the city. Ground floor focuses on contemporary art and the latest in the local arena. Top floors offer art pieces tested by time.

A nice flow overall. There's also space for private/corporate events. Attentive team on the ground.

Has a very good shop and cafe withing the master building. Very close to other attractions.

A place to visit when you are in Perth. I would recommend it beside Freemantle market and Kings Garden among the top three places in Perth. Inspiring exhibition with wonderful paintings giving you a good insight into the Australian art scene.

Great place to see some awesome art from across Australia and some from much further afield. Great place to bring kids and get them away from screens for a time...although there are some exhibitions that contain screens. Definitely worth visiting for some relaxation.

In computer to other state galleries, this one isn't in the same league as the MCA in Sydney or the NGV in Melbourne, but it's ok. The best artworks that I saw during my visit was in the downstairs section that was dedicated to the final artwork of year 12 students. Their work was amazing. I was taken aback by the talent and skill of those young people. I was amazed that so much well refined skill was resident in so many people only just embarking on their artistic careers. That was a treat. The permanent exhibition was ok, but nothing special.

There were a lot of works on display, and the content and composition were good. Given the free points, this is a satisfying place. Most of the exhibition halls on the second floor were closed during the exhibition, but even if you look around the exhibition hall on the first floor, you will be happy.

Visited the Art Gallery on an organised club group outing. As the organiser, I found all the staff extremely efficient during the booking process. A great outing for your social group. During the visit we were lead by two wonderful volunteer guides( Adrienne and Karen) who shared their vast knowledge of the artists and the history surrounding each piece of art. All 22 of our party enjoyed the morning immensely. We visited the Historic Gallery which was very interesting. The Art Gallery is well worth repeat visits as there much to see. I would recommend visiting with one of the Guides as they certainly bring the art alive.

I like the gallery because it had thing from historic time to modern time. Pieces which were on display, were connected, which revels the sign of time. The littel shops they had is filled with prety things and post cards. If your in WA, give it a visit.
