In computer to other state galleries, this one isn't in the same league as the MCA in Sydney or the NGV in Melbourne, but it's ok. The best artworks that I saw during my visit was in the downstairs section that was dedicated to the final artwork of year 12 students. Their work was amazing. I was taken aback by the talent and skill of those young people. I was amazed that so much well refined skill was resident in so many people only just embarking on their artistic careers. That was a treat. The permanent exhibition was ok, but nothing special.
