Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater is a wonder carved out of nature, it is standing rock-solid over a century later. It is an established arena for music concerts, yoga and lots of other activities in the elements of nature. I managed to get a last minute ticket to the Barenaked Ladies concert, worked my way-in on feet and through long waiting lines, and as the evening sun was setting-in. Ushered into this bowl of a stadium at the top of the world I was treated to cityscape, bodies of water, mountain tops, greenery and clouds providing spectacular panoramic views. Strong cross-winds and steady drizzle kept on. The crowd could not care less and folks kept straggling-in. The concert got full-swing with guitars blaring, crooner screaming and crowds swooning. Three hours later, I headed back on ride share, grateful to be part of the experience.

This is one of the best places in the world to watch a concert

There are no words to describe the amazing experience we had here. The concert was incredible, the venue was breathtaking, the people were awesome. The show was at max capacity and still seemed controlled and organized. Parking was easy and besides not being prepared for the hike up to the red rocks (mildly out of shape and not acclimated to the elevation), it was a very wonderful experience. I appreciate that we were allowed to bring our own food and drinks as well. Very helpful to keep cost down even tho we did splurge on a drink. Every concert goer should experience music at Red Rocks. Absolutely amazing!

Good views, but local ordinances have ruined it. Ending early and lower volume. If you don't like concerts don't move next to a major concern venue.

Nice portions, friendly service, and authentic Cuban food.

If you need my opinion on this place you haven't done enough research or talked to literally anyone about it.
Just go already. Fantastic. One of Nature's Wonders.

The dirty heads concert was amazing as is every show at red rocks!

I've only been to one show here so far but without a doubt I can say this place is truly magical. I love verything about this place. If you havent been I highly recommend everybody add this to their bucket list.

I was in town for business and only had about an hour to explore the park, but I must say, in that short time I was impressed. The park itself is free to enter and there is a 1.4 mile loop you can hike through the red rocks. It is beautiful.
I did not make it to the amphitheater but would hope to return someday to see it. However, there is a pretty cool museum / gift shop that shows you a lot from past shows. There are pictures and memorabilia you can look through while you are there.
The gift shop prices are not too bad. About $20 for a shirt (some a little more, some a little less).
But hey, if you have limited time or all day, this is a great place to check out if you are in the Denver area.

Like many venues, getting in and out is tough. Unlike most, you WILL have a hike to get into the amphitheatre and it WILL be uphill. But it WILL be worth it. The scenery is unparallel. The sound is amazing. This is by far the most beautiful venue I have been to. And getting a beer was easy as waving.

It's Red Rocks. What else is there to say? Come here to see your favorite musicians. It's probably the perfect venue.

Such an Amazing Destination in the heart of Denver city. The best part is the view from the starting of the theater. Its an open theater built in between the rocks on a certain height.

My favorite concert venue in the world, and such a uniquely beautiful place I would visit there without a concert to go to.

Best venue I've ever been to absolutely breathtaking

Always a pleasure, the park is open most of the time for people to go work out or just enjoy the scenery. Perfect view of Denver and everything east. There's a museum in the bottom that lists every show by year, and touch screens that can tell you about the openers, and a viewing room, during shows they play the camera feeds down there so you can escape the craziness for a little while. Great for people with anxiety. The shows are to die for. My first concert was good fighters, 3rd row. I've seen tech n9ne, and blues traveler since then and have never once been disappointed.

Great experience. As crazy beautiful as this place is I was so impressed with the bathrooms. Excellent views but bring your walking shoes. Good work out on the stairs up and down. Easy to spend 2 to 6 hours exploring.

One easy and must see if you are around in Colorado springs..it's unique color and concept of the amphitheatre makes is special.. though there is nothing much to do around if you don't go for a concert..it's still a good visit for 1 hr or so..we went to this place while driving from Denver to Glenwood springs..it wasn't very crowded..the place is also Free..there is no admission fee to see the amphitheatre..few eateries were available at the entrace of the amphitheatre..will recommend to visit at least once..

This Venue is Amazing!! I drove up after work on a whim and the employees helped me find the box office and were very friendly. Last show of the season was Cold but so worth it!!

Amazing venue! Something about this place... saw the Avery brothers here last month and had a blast. My recommendation.... buy a ticket so you have a seat!!!! It s worth it! General admission is great but it can be difficult finding a comfortable spot

Great trails.. but the stairs alone are an amazing exercise as well! Amazing views! We saw deer during our visit. Very cool gift shop! I can t wait to attend a concert here! Definitely the perfect place for locals or tourists. Always a wow factor! You can usually see Denver on a clear day.

Best acoustics and views of any venue I've ever experienced!

Most recently saw Michael Franti and Spearhead with Xavier Rudd opening. Never a disappointment.

This is a great venue whether you want to visit to check out the incredible views of Denver, surrounding cities and Hills, or if you're just looking to get a workout done. I've come here to do runs up and down the stairs which is a challenging addition to my fitness regime. Always a fun time! I've also experienced concerts here, and is very much an experience in itself.

If theres one place you have to visit in Colorado this is it. The right event also makes the scene here. Theres nothing like being outdoors in a Red Rock formation cut out to be a concert venue. You can see the City of Denver in the background miles away and when the sun sets that becomes a photographic moment. Ive found after the number of events ive been to there, if theres a reserved seat show try to get row 34 so you can see just over the stage and have the Denver skyline throughout the show. They serve alcohol, theres smoking sections, and they have catered food along with their concessions.

This is a magical venue that will leave you with a lasting experience.

One of the best places to watch a show, period. Incredible views from any seat in the house. There is cool hiking around this area too.

Omg if you have never been to Red Rocks, it a must see for concerts. The lights from downtown can been seen from the seating area at night its beautiful.

By far one of the coolest venues to catch a show. It may have been the band we saw, but the sound was among the best I've ever heard. Either their acoustics are amazing or the sound guy needs a raise.

We visited on a nonevent day. A variety of parking lots offer different types of access or hiking. Hall of fame has highlights of prior entertainers. John Denver has a separate room. I would love to attend an event. I've heard from others that it's awesome acoustics. The scenery is gorgeous with downtown Denver is in the background.

Breathe..breathe in the air...or do something else..

This is possibly the coolest concert venue I have ever been to. It's not for the faint of heart. Just walking up to get in is a trek. I don't think either of my parents could have done it to be honest. But the entire walk is an experience. By the time you're actually in to see the band you paid for, the show feels like the icing on a cake that's already delicious. The red rock, the ramp up, the vistas of the surrounding area, and the seats carved out of the sides of the mountain, are all exquisite. If you have the time to check out the visitors center you'll see that Red Rocks also has a long history of some of the most popular acts of all time preforming here. I don't know if I'll get to go back, but I'm so grateful that I had the opportunity to see this with my own eyes. It's one of those experiences that fills a vacancy in your soul that you didn't know existed.

A beautiful and unique place, but just not much to see.

Best place to see a show. Don't forget your Id. Pretty damn good food for a concert venue. Still pricey but at least it's not just hot dogs n popcorn. Great place to tailgate/pregame just don't go to hard before you get through the gates.

Awesome venue. STS9 blew my mind and the lasers and whatnot dancing across the giant rocks looked amazing. Warning from a fat guy: be ready for a bit of a hike cuz the inside of the venue is a bunch if giant steps surrounded by giant like 60+ft high boulders. But trust me, walking around meeting people is so much fun and definitely worth the bit of sweat. Loved this place, my favorite venue iv been to so far

What an amazing venue. Outdoor venues typically don t work well but the acoustics are amazing here. The natural beauty of the amphitheater and the area is worth the price alone and you get to here a wide selection of artist here. Awesome experience.

First time in Denver from Florida. Beautiful scenery driving to the amphitheater. Appreciated the cafe where I picked up a hot coffee.

Best place on earth, for concerts or just sight seeing. You have to check out the museum. Shows every artist that has played redrocks

I came here for the first time and love going up and down the amphitheater. Can't wait to come back and hike around on the trails.

Gorgeous place to see music. It's a workout to get there and sometimes to get to the restroom. However there are shows when there is no line for the women's bathroom and a huge line for the men. It's a weird experience, welcome but strange

Kings of Leon, October 2017 - a brilliant night (even in the rain).

There was a Zeds Dead concert when we came here which was really great. Awesome venue. I would come back here if given the chance!

My wife and I did not see a show here but we went there just for pictures and to experience it. I could not imagine seeing a show there surrounded by such awesome rock structures. Definitely worth a visit if you're driving by.

Awesome place to visit. I wasn t sure if it cost to get in but everything was free! Going down to the lower stage area of amphitheater is not for the faint of heart. It is a long journey back up! If you ever watched the biggest loser years ago they made the contestants run up the stairs on several episodes, so it was neat seeing the place that it is filmed. The Colorado music hall of fame is also located there at gift shop entrance, which is neat to walk through. Saturday is a busy day in the area for visitors and locals getting their exercise on, so during the week might be a better time to go.

Great trail for a quick hike. I walked the trading post trail (1.5 mi.) to kill some time before heading to the airport. Conveniently close to Denver, no issues with parking, amazing scenery.

Just saw Bohemian Rhapsody there for Film on the Rocks! Also, we saw FFDP in concert last year while visiting Denver as well. Great venue and anyone who is a concert or music junkie should have Red Rocks on there go to list!

Amazing place to hike, exercise, meditate, site see, scope the Denver skyline, visit the musical Red Rocks Hall of Fame. It's a must to see your favorite musical artist take over one of the greatest natural amphitheaters in the world

Fine gravel/Sandy trails, while a little narrow at times it's easy to make room. It's also great that the ampitheater can be used for workouts. Be prepared with some water! It's also nice that they have porta-potties to use.

Beautiful views absolutely no shade go on a cool day and hope there's a breeze

The ultimate concert venue in the state, country, perhaps all the world. Had many a mystical evening at this place, where ancient spirits seem to inhabit the surrounding mammoth rock formations creating a natural amphitheater that has been in use since first discovered by man. Free parking is a rarity these days so thank you for that. Wear comfortable shoes as you will be walking and climbing stairs if you want to experience the different views, my favorite being from the top where you can spot the distant Denver downtown and the occasional weather across the metro area. Check the weather forecast before heading out to be prepared. Also check out the museum in the visitor center if you have time.

A must when in Denver. Great acoustics. Breathtaking setting. Easy to get in and out of. Red Rocks Amphitheatre partners with Lyft in case you want to enjoy a little more fun than usual. Go see a concert there or just explore.

Who wouldn't love this amphitheater! Even bands I may not be particularly fond of.. I still have the best time and enjoy myself! We usually end u up parking pretty close to the entrance, that way we can exit a bit easier. But it does end up being a hike to get there. We bring our own food and just buy drinks from the venue to save money. We go at least twice a year!

Fun times hiking the trails around red rock park, easy to moderately hikes,

The only mark against it is how far the parking is from the venue itself, leading to long lines to get in and out. When it rains at all, several of the trails leading from parking to the venue have literal waterfalls flowing into and through them, and it makes the walk... a challenge.

Saw Paramore, they were amazing, will definitely go again.

Popular music is played here and also music from the 1960. There is a museum also and it shows everything about the place. The view from here onto Denver is incredible!

The most amazing venue, I'd watch nearly anyone perform there because it's so beautiful. That being said, I almost died on the way to the top because I like unhealthy food way too much and the climb is no joke.

Wow! Didn't see a concert there but would of liked to.

Simply one of the most unique and amazing concert venues. Despite the cold and snow, we had a great time and Florence + The Machine put on one hell of a show.

Fair warning: be prepared for a walk no matter where you park. This can include a long hike up stairs. Arrive about 10 minutes before the gates open to have a shot at parking along the side of the road instead of a crowded lot.

Hands down, no competition, the best and most beautiful outdoor music venue in the U.S. Red Rocks is a natural formation of multimineral geological beauty that straddles the continental divide where it zigzags east, making Denver such a unique metropolis proximal to the most popular and traversed migratory route for large, wild vertebrate species--elk, moose, deer--and the predators, prey, and myriad flora and fauna that diversify the Front Range ecotones. The best live music tours on earth make Red Rocks a pilgrimmage for summer time jamming. The area is just a few miles west of Denver and serve as a gateway of sorts; a perfect place to stop to hike and/or check out dinosaur fossils and to allow oneself to transition from the hustle of Metro Denver into the quiet and contemplative headspace that beckons traveling farther west, higher into the Rocky Mountains.

The best live music venue in the country! Unfortunately the artist we saw didn't play most of the songs we wanted to hear.

Wonderful venue. The amphitheater layout makes the venue feel generally spacious at all times. Fits nearly 10,000 and rather comfortably. The accoustics are wonderful. The county curfew and limitations can be annoying, as many shows only run until 11 now. That is, however, out of their control. The security staff is excellent- not inadvertently abrasive or in your face, but does well to tame the crowd. I'd like to administer a special thank you to Lisa V., who accommodated my fractured ankle and let me have access to the handicapped section. Thanks to this, I was given the opportunity to meet Shaquille O'Neal, an experience that can never be recapitulated by words. Thank you Lisa!

Great place to go and listen to your favorite artist jam out!! What's not to love about red rocks!!??!! Seriously an awesome atmosphere to be in and w such breath taking views!! OMG!!!

Red Rocks is where I saw my very first concert. What a great venue for concerts and other events. The natural red boulders create the perfect amphitheater and there are beautiful sweeping views of the plains and the Denver metro area. Night views are also great. Red Rocks offers more than just concerts. It serves many high school graduations and also has many events such as "Wine on the Rocks", "Film on the Rocks", "Yoga on the Rocks" and more. There are hiking trails around the area, plus the stairs make for a great workout. Weekends are filled with locals working on their health (when there isn't a scheduled event occurring). To top it off, you have the cute town of Morrison just up the road...perfect for lunch, dinner and/or drinks.

Awesome place to visit! I came here for about an hour and got to walk all around. Amazing views and people around are friendly.

Hands down best music venue in the country and possibly the world

This place is incredible, if you haven't gone. Just do it, the venue is open even on show days before 2 pm for people that are visiting. The park itself is over 850 acres and has a historical conservation camp attached to it. The venue has two huge monoliths the are backed by the rock behind the stage, appropriately named Stage Rock. I recommend row 33-37 to get a good view of the city/skyline and the stage. The top pavilion is a good place to grab a drink or two (or some grub if needed). The Visitor Center at the top pavilion have bathrooms, and some cool historical info along with a bit of a "Rock Museum" that is definitely worth checking out. Ship Rock Grill is also found in there, which you can make reservations at for "most" shows. A fun date night alternative dinner joint if you go to any film on the rocks/concerts.

Went the the Amphitheatre to see Vance Joy, what a nice time. Red Rock Park and the Amphitheatre are truly a place you will not want to miss while visiting the Denver area. There are a lot of steps here, so if you are not in good health, you may want to reconsider.

A National Treasure! Nature's majesty hosts the best musical talent available. Go for museum, go for concerts...just go...Stunning!
